I have had my Air Physio for years. It is especially coming in handy now. I tested positive for Covid yesterday. This morning in between my 5 minute session I coughed up a lot of mucous. It was such a relief as now it doesn’t hurt to cough making it easier to breathe. This little gadget is a must have for those of us who have lung issues. As for the cost, I got mine on sale. They do have good deals for family bundles as well.
I had a couple day hospital stay after I aspirated into a lung, and ordered one just like this. I watched this video when I got it, and I am immediately hooked on it. Great job! Thanks a gazillion!
Got one ages ago but only just started using it. The amount of mucous brought up is surprising . Would definitely recommend this product for others with lung conditions
I love mine! I have not needed to use my nebulizer as much. I even put it in my purse and take it with me wherever I go. I have found I can use this instead of my rescue inhaler at times. I highly recommend this product!
COPD says the doctor. Have scripted inhaler daily. Am using this air physio for about 3+ weeks now.. went from twice a day to once a day. It has increased my ability to inhale to exhale more than twice the length of time for each occassion, from when I started. Do persevere up to 10 minutes until even harder sputum is coughed up. Yes I do recommend it.
@@ThePhysioChannel Oh thank you so much for your reply! I am a former smoker and have slightly hyperinflated lungs. Could this device help me to regain elasticity in my lungs and begin to fully exhale again?
I've got one. Just started using it about 3 days now. The video is helpful but maybe you could us a microphone to show people the noise it makes when you really get that ball bouncing. It's like a cat purring in slow motion. You can feel it down to your stomach. I usually feel it towards the end of my exhale. After a few tries I can make the vibration last longer. My oxygen level is usually at a 97-98%. Today 04/28/2023 I am a solid 98%. I'll edit this comment in a few weeks and let you know what happens. .... It's been two months and I have not been using it as much as I thought I would. Sporadically. I also have not noticed any changes. I would say inconclusive results. My oxygen level is, on average, 97 and still is 97. I'll try again to do it every morning.
Thankyou for this excellent video. This is most helpful and has assisted me with correct usage. The air physio device is brilliant and does work, when used correctly.
Trying mine now for the first time. Coughed after bit of flem come up. Trying to get rid of bronchitis. Used for 5 mins. Can definitely feel my lungs had a workout
@The Last Sifu it actually did. Just used it the way it says to. But after a while I just layed back in bed watching TV doing it. And that actually worked better. I'm still going for a chest scan because I occasionally now have the coughing out of no where. But sometimes it's food that triggers it. I was told you can get something similar to women's thrush, but in your chest that causes a itchy throat. I'm thinking it could be that.
@Anna Curtis oh no, I found out a few people I know have long covid my symptoms got alot worse after covid. My friend went to get a lung scan coz he kept coughing and the doctors don't know what to do and said it's long covid.
I've been diagnosed with Asthma, 'small airway disease' and bronchiectasis. I have a cheap-o nebulizer I never use bc its inconvenient to be plugged into the wall. how does this differ?
I have COPD and really depend on my nebulizer , can't leave home without one. You can order a small handheld nebulizer from Walmart , Amazon and others that just take couple of batteries for around $30 and up. I take mine in my purse and glad to have it in power outages. Just in case.. Going to order an Airphysio now.
Just received and opened mine, and your video was helpful 😊 I think it works, at least I felt the fluttering and some mucus came up.. not so much fun though with pneumonia and bruised ribs 😅
I purchased this device because it stated it will help me with better breathing, etc. I am an actor and singer, and most often get out of breath from dancing and trying to sing. I am hopeful for this device.
I have a question. I am 81. I have had asthma since birth. At this time of the year, I usually get Bronchitis - so far I haven't get it.. Can I use this device when my chest feels tight or after I have had a bad coughing spell? I would be using it for just a few breaths -- besides doing this 3 times a day.
I talked to my doctor. He feels that 3 times a day is enough. He wants me to give the device more time to do its job. He notice my lungs sounded very good. Better than they have in a long time. Thank you
When you are using this, at the recommended 45 degree angle, can you see the ball bearing well enough, so you know you are exhaling correctly? Seems yes, you could, however with a bit cross-eyed focusing. And doing that for 5 minutes, might create some dizziness (for me), maybe not for others. Has this symptom ever come up in reviews from your customers? Thank you.
Thank you for your comment. Please note this I'd not my product and other brandd are available. The airphysio company may be able to advise further. I hope it helps you. All the best.
Yes, it can make you feel light-headed if you go at it too hard. Just trial and error really. Just breathe normally for a few breaths without using the Air Physio, and that symptom should vanish. Also, you don't actually need to see the ball bearing moving, you can hear it clacking up and down as well as feel the vibration of it.
You can’t really see it that well even when it’s positioned correctly. You feel it physically and hear the way the ball makes a fluttering sound. Dizziness isn’t unusual, but it means you should take your breath in, wait for some of the oxygen to actually absorb, and then exhale through the device. Dizziness is just you not getting enough oxygen in. Take a break and breath normally till it goes away.
Forgive me for being dumb. May I clarify. It is the breathing OUT that is the way it works? It is not like an inhaler which works when you breathe IN the chemical in it. Pleat clarify. Many thanks.

Would there be any advantage to hold your nostril shut; on the exhale?
Not really…
Is this more useful for people who have mild Asthma than an inhaler?
No not to replace an inhaler. Just helps clear airways and promotes good respiratory health.
