Absolutely brilliant! This was a laughter marathon from start to finish. The way he weaves humor into everyday observations is pure comedic genius. Can't wait to see what he'll bring to the stage next!
Classic scenario for so many northern and western Europeans growing up, parents telling you "Remember the starving kids in Africa, so eat the food on your plate." Weird logic, but as a kid it is difficult to handle almost any logic. Thank you ISMO for sharing your experience with us.
Never heard of what you mentioned, but this joke here is word by word ,(translated in english) the same of Dan Badea, about 5-6 years ago on a stand up he made on tv in Romania,in a show called I umor.
Very funny dude,.. but i i try cook that wierd advice down.. i guess its ment, if you eat up all food you been given now, you need less food later... meaning we use less food here.. so there is more to give or send to africa? :)
Aftually it's meaning is "Be grateful to have so much food on your plate and not waste it because there are people in Africa who would be happy to have half of it." Sending leftover food to Africa is not so easy, so it was going to go to the dog, probably.
Fair enough, but as a kid, even a teenager, that logic is not necessarily objectively apparent to most people. I know and understand it now as an adult, of course.
its more about food waste. There is already more than enough food in world. problem is that its wasted. EU is throwing vegetables in trash if they are wrong shade of color.
I love this joke my mom used to say that too 😂
Same here, in Sweden BTW. And I answered, then take the damn food and send it to them!
sama täällä..same here..
@@Henrik.Yngvesson 😂😂😂
@@Henrik.Yngvesson That was Dave Allen's sketch from the 1970s... "Waah, stick it in an envelope and send it to them!"
The Ismo classic
In Poland the same. My 5yo cousin's daughter said she didn't care about children in Africa and wouldn't eat.
Your cousin had a daughter at a VERY young age😲

Good stuff.. it reminds of Sam Kinisons starvation in africa joke as well, which takes talent to pull off since the subject matter..

Did they know it was not Christmas when ISMO was feeding the world?
Like my Mummi used to say
Mine too
Stop with the tiktok like shorts and do a full special. People do it on youtube, you don't need HBO or Netflix
Send him money 🤑😮💰😂
If he does all his jokes on youtube, who will pay to see him? This is an appetizer
Why sending money? Did you see his belly? He's eating for whole Africa!
Send the money to Africa in place.. @@Prometheus669
"Gee, thanks for the FREE content, Ismo!"

I think, your mom meant - "don't leave any food on your plate, it can get wasted, so eat it all" 😂
Fair enough, but as a kid, even a teenager, that logic is not necessarily objectively apparent to most people. I know and understand it now as an adult, of course.
Parents...
Eka...
It should be the other way around, eat less so that other people can eat too...
