sorry to hear about your grand mother. Ironically enough, my roomate had fallen off his bike in early feb, broke both of his wrists. And on the 26th of feb i fell while taking a walk and broke my left wrist. Im not sure what is going on this year, but it cant be a coincidence.

Looks great! Quick comment for when you are using a cut in box for your outlets. If you cut the 4 ears off of the outlet your outlet will sit more flush, and your plate will be perfectly flush against the wall. Love watching your videos!

Just a small suggestion from a retired electrician; I normally make each receptacle a ground fault receptacle. Just pigtail the wires and hook them to the line side on each receptacle. This way when the ground fault trips you can reset it without going anywhere

Hi Lydia and Jim mes ames! Lydia, I am so sorry for the loss of your grandfather, my condolences mon cher ami. I am praying for a quick and thorough recovery for your grandmother 🙏. For many years I traveled from Ca to IL multiple times a year. I wish I would have knows about your dads restaurant in Springfield - I would have gone for sure. Jim, yes I'd like to see the couple of dry pour projects you have in the future, also, more on the truck restoration. Loved the scene of you in the hat with the "stuff" protruding out that was in reference to using blow dryers. It reminded me of something Ted (your friends The LiFe in Pines) would do 🙃. That is bold wallpaper, not sure if the birds are Egret, Heron, Limpkin or ??, but I like it a lot. That comes as a surprise to me, alone I would vote no but all together it looks fantastic ... Lydia has the vision to see the big picture. The colors and bold pattern looks awesome IMO. Lydia, you absolutely killed it with your tile work, it looks so good!! You never stop amazing me with all the things you tackle and seem to do so very well. After seeing your dad in the vid it seems you picked up all those creative skills from him, and I suspect also your wonderful lean physique. I loved how you turned the pipe into a tree at the restaurant; very creative and attractive! Finally, I really like the reflective hootis, as Jim described it. The lighting stip in the mirror make it quite unique and it looks very good in the room; everything is tied together so well. You two have done an excellent job! I LOVE your bathroom. I hate wallpaper in general, but have had it many times overs the years. The right wallpaper makes it all ok, and the one you chose is perfect. Fresh, sophisticated and not to cluttered. It is a great color with the scheme you have going and the overall look.

The bathroom wallpaper might not work in some homes but Id honestly say that it's a perfect fit for your house and the surrounding lands, all the colour coordination is well thought through and works perfectly in my eyes... plus that reflection hootis is absolutely fantastic and sets the whole room up nicely.

Wishing your Granny a quick heal regarding her wrist and hopefully she will gain full use of it. Wonderful to see you and your Dad work together, haven't seen him before. His restaurant looks very quirky, a place I would love to eat at, however I'm not in your country. Love how the bathroom is coming together, so Jim you don't use an electric razor? As much as I love the wallpaper (and I'm glad they aren't upside down) I actually like the white wall behind the mirror.❤❤

Love all the changes you did this week. I liked patching drywall holes like you did so much I volunteer to do other peoples holes for fun. So very sorry your grandpa passed Lydia and so happy you got to fly with him.
love the wallpaper and tiles combo but i would hold on the mirror wall with wallpaper. maybe add a accent color instead to it tone down a little having the wallpaper on every wall can be overwhelming. My condolences on the loss of your grandfather.
One good practice with regards to outlets is to wrap the terminals with electrical tape after connecting the wire. This will protect the outlet and you. This is especially important in a wet room like that. When I do tile I cut a piece of plywood off that is the exact space between the edge of a tile piece and the cut position. this way I just have to drop the tile into the jig and cut away knowing the space is already exact. Any jig to speed things along, 'Hootis' is never a bad thing.

On your guard for the tile saw, raise it to the top of rail and tighten it down where it is parallel, this will help with the water and also give you visibility to see your cut. Keep pushing love to see the end product.

Honest opinion about the wall paper.... I'm not a fan but some like it and when it comes down to it, it's a personal preference. I also haven't seen the finished product with the awesome decorating accents you add to a finished room.

While that design is not something I would've chosen for myself, I absolutely love the look and I think you guys nailed it!!!! It certainly fits in with your overall home design, too! I guess what I'm trying to say is: although I wouldn't personally design a home a like this, if one came up for sale, I wouldn't hesitate to make an offer and absolutely live with the design without changing a thing! 😁
Unfortunately, we also had a death in family, as well as a scary health incident, both this month. My 93 year old great aunt is still hanging in there though! She's one tough cookie!
