This has been LONG overdue! We are so happy to finally start the process of installing our central air, starting with the 3 ton Senville system!
Not only did we install the unit, but we show y’all how we drill our anchor bolts into a dry pour slab, along with an update on the chicks we hatched a few weeks ago.

You two sure make Mondays better. Glad to see you're installing your HVAC system. Split systems are so much more efficient than window units. Ooooooh and it's a dry pour too! Nice.
Thank you so much!!
After being in the HVAC field for 27 years I would have loved to have seen more room between the side of the house and the back of the unit. Specs may have said that was enough room but take my word for it. You can't have to much room when you have to work on HVAC units.
Thank you for the tip!
You guys are the "Concrete Dry Pour" MASTERS on this Earth 👍
Free tips surge protectors for inverter systems are a must
Wow. That was a job! Where did Jim Learn his skills? It seems like he can do anything he sets his mind to!!❤ Great job!
I am so happy y'all got that unit installed. I'll sleep much better when I ever get there.😁🤣 Ladly's so precious. And the dog didn't mind the dirt bath at all. What a pair! Be well!
They are so great together!!
Good job all of you - i just can't get over how smart you all are - looks great - have a great week - love ya all more !!!
LOL - I was just thinking you should have a drain pan under that. Then you went ahead and said your pan is being built. Whew! Nice job. Thanks for sharing
Lol! Thanks for looking out for us Lou!
A couple of years ago I put in a split system here in northwest Las Vegas where it's 9,000 degrees at midnight in July...yeah, it's a dry heat, but so is the inside of an oven. The desert is literally straight out our back door with the Las Vegas Range and the Sheep Range Mountains just beyond. The split system works really well. We use one side of it to cool two bedrooms and a large bathroom while easing off the thermostat for the rest of the house at night. Then that all that reverses in the daytime. A year ago, we installed Solup solar panels, and we haven't had an electric bill since. Here, it's gas for heating, cooking, hot water, and the dryer, and electricity for cooling. Our heater/blower is in the attic of our one-story house and lays on its side like yours. Our outside units are Trane, and I really can't complain; they're very quiet and very efficient. You have a great family... a hardworking, smart husband with as steady a hand on a saw as I have ever seen, a wife as pretty and well put together as any of the lady dancers down on the strip and a strong, funny, and capable helpmate during all of your construction adventures. Now, many years out from now, whoever marries your daughter is just going to have to get used to living with someone that can outrun, out jump, out swim, outshoot, out fish, and will always be the one at the top of the hill on the dirt bike waiting for him to catch up. At her present age, she is probably the most adorable little angel I can remember seeing ever. Kinda hated seeing the old window unit go...there's something about a machine or animal that has served me well that I always missed when it came time to part company with it, but that's just the nature of living, I guess. I wish you all only the very best of everything. Adios.
This is a great comment! Very thoughtful and we appreciate it very much!
Those chickens are very cute and they have grown. Ladley is also very cute giving puppy a dirt bath 😅
Thank you Kristina!
Look at you two, continuously adding class, entertainment and information to YT. Much appreciated. Blessings for you and your family.
Thank you so much Claudia!
One of these would be a nice upgrade when my old unit gives up the ghost. Good job guys enjoyed watching.
Great job y'all!! Cool in the summer, and warm in the winter, comfort all year long!☺️
OH My Goodness! Both of you have done so wonderful. Look where you once was to now. "We are behind you and watching every Vlog you provide. BTW, sorry... I am still watching old Vlogs too. Thank you again from North Fort Myers, FL ~ Charli
Thank you so much for the thoughtful comment Charli! We were just talking about the same thing a few days ago. It seems like it is taking forever but when we look back to a year ago….. we have accomplished so much 😊
You did it the right way. Vacuum down the lines before letting the gas out. NICE!!
😁
Truely fantastic video, i love how you all showed the steps to make it easy for someone to watch this video and install one of these for themsleves!
You won’t regret this unit. I installed mine 3 years ago and it’s been flawless.
Awesome! Thank you for letting us know Rusty!
where are you located? Am interested in knowing if you have temps near 100 and/or below freezing and what you set your thermostat too and how well it deals with both the AC and Heating?
Gonna look into that system I’ve been toying with the idea of mini splits myself but this system might suit our needs even better so thanks for that
Wow. Great job and explanation on the installation. Ladly and Gus sure make a great pair.
Thank you Gary! They sure do😊
Nice installation. HVAC system when temperatures climb into the 90's and hundreds are a must. The Senville Central AC/Heat pump is going to save a lot of money for efficiency and enjoyable to watch the installation.
Thank you! We are really excited to have it installed!
Happy to see you family. 💙❤️❤️
Same to you!
The first connection you’all made was the power cord. The second one is the communication cord.
Great video good to see y'all
Dry pour pads are amazing and simple.
Glad you like them!
Im so Happy for you guys, I know how 🔥 it can get ,you're gonna love having Central Air and 🔥
Thank you Paula! We are so excited!
Great job ya'll! That is a big task to take on and ya'll nailed it!
Thank you Gary!!
Can't believe how light that unit is. The concrete slab and the way you guys installed that unit is PERFECT! Nice and clean install. ok, about that "adjustable" wrench. hahahahahaaa... I NEVER KNEW that there was a "Crescent" brand. I've called that a crescent wrench my whole life. I had to google it because I couldn't believe it. It's funny what people notice. OK, I'm not sure I've ever heard a torquing measurement being a "grunt" LOL. And yet, I completely understood what Jim meant. Way to go you guys! That had to be quite a process to get everything installed, even though that unit looks pretty simple. Getting OFF GRID... that truly is the best way!
Hey there Mr. Timothy! You are right…. Channel locks and a crescent wrench…. Who would have even noticed my misappropriation of terminology 😂😂😂 Thank you for watching and we hope that you have a fantastic week!
Oh my goodness you two are champions!!
Thank you Seth!
My daughter needs this for her place. Awesome! Thanks for showing us how it’s done!
You are so welcome! Thank you for watching!
Hello there, working from home today so there is nothing holding me from watching one of my favorite channels and family on youtube, much love to you guys 🎉❤
Hi! Yay! So glad you got to enjoy early!☕️☕️
Great work Captain and Lydia.
Thank you!!!
Great video as usual guys. Glad y’all got you’re ac in!
Thank you Terence!
You guys know your stuff for sure. Can’t wait to see what is up your sleeve next. Your little girl is being exposed to a wealth of knowledge. North meets South……..best of both worlds.
Thank you very much and thank you for watching!
Now you guys are going to be extra cool in those hot summers.
We are very excited about that!
Wow!! That was awesome!! That is sure a nice and easy ac install!! But of course, we are talking about Ole Jimbo. Here, he is the man with the brains 🧠 but Lydia is the muscle 💪!! But until till next time! I hope yall have a blessed week 🙏🏻
CCEEDDRRIICC! Hope that you are having a great week! We both laughed out loud at your comment 😂
@CajunCountryLivin You are welcome 🙏🏻 I am glad I made yall laugh 😃
Made some major progress today nice job. Glad you pointed out adjustable wrench not crescent like some of less educated people call it, I will sleep so much better now 😅. Have a great day.
Really enjoyed watching this you made this look so simple.
I have four Senville units on my property. Great company. You will be pleased with them
Awesome! Thank you for letting us know your experience with them Timothy!
Maintenant vous allez avoir de la fraîcheur 🥶c’est une bonne climatisation. Bravo à Jim pour son installation. Bon courage les cousins cajuns👍👍😘👏🇫🇷
Yes for sure Gerard! 😁
Thats the way to go for the size home you have.
Sure is!!
You are so professional in this area!
😋😋😋
Another great video as always. Have a great day
Very cool. I think I'll look into one of those for my next a/c unit. The problem is I keep repairing things until they just can't be fixed anymore. My last HVAC unit lasted 40 years because I kept repairing and rewiring everything on it. The one I have now is only 7 years old so it might be a few minutes before I'm ready for a new unit.
We have absolutely loved ours so far Pam!
Very good. Love to see you install emergency drain pan as well.
Will do soon!
Y'all make that look so easy
You are doing a great job. One thing I noticed on your video was a green ground wire hooked up to the neutral bus bar on your service disconnect.
I have 2 split units in my big old house. They work great. Not big units outside. I just love them. I live in Ky where it gets cold. I do have vented Lp gas to back up when it gets way down. Love the low cost heat and air bills. Usually blow 100 $. Hope you enjoy yours!!
Great Job Guys!
Thank you!
You did a great install and you will love that split unit. Just don’t freak out when it gets cold out and your temp starts flashing. These have a built in defrost mode for the compressor. Trust me. I freaked out when it happened to me and my boss had the same thing and called me when we had that big freeze and snow here in Texas. It does what it does and the energy you save will amaze you. We have 2) 12,000 and 1) 9000 btu splits running and my electric bill has gone down compared to using the 20 year old central system that ran all day and all night with hot Texas summers.
Thank you very much for the info!
Is it just me,or have y'all gotten real FAST on that dry pour concrete 😂❤👍
Hahaha 😝😝
nice to see you on Summer and Gody's wedding day. everything looked very nice and cozy. 🤗❤❤✌
😊😊
You guys are awesome!
looks really nice y'all 💖
Great job y’all
Thank you Mr. Bobby!
Ohhhh wow that seems to be an easy set up and also with the machine itself like u said u can put up down sideways whichever cuz it’s made for all of that!!! Awesome job guys!!!!
It was really easy to install! Thank you for watching!
Lovely!!
Thank you Estella!!
Well done looks like a great system and the dog got a dirt bath too.
I have some HVAC experience and I am more than impressed about how you have tackled this and done this installation yourself.
I wondered about the choice of using the entire attic space for your return air plenum versus installing ductwork. But I agree that seems like a reasonable decision.
I am curious to know whether you're adjustable wrench was SAE or metric. 😄
It seems to be a good idea in theory Delbert. We will keep you posted as to how it works when we get all of the ductwork completed! Our “adjustable wrench” is a left handed Standard for sure😂
Oh boy you guys made that look easy
Thank you so much!
Nice job you guy's 👏
Ladley giving the dog a bath was funny..
Thank you John!
on your condensate line, your vent stand pipe needs to be on the downstream side of your trap, otherwise it'll suck air unless you cap it, then it doesn't vent... this unit is exactly like mine and there is a problem with that t-stat, the company I got mine from sent me a different one free that works perfect
Thank you for letting us know Kenny!
If you have not considered it yet, you should think about a whole-house surge protector
We will have to check into that!
Well, y’all made that look easy! 👍 Looks very nice against the house.
Thank you Marsha!
you guys should have put some expansion foam insulation between your drypour slab and your siding
Yes, it is called a Crescent wrench. The name is from a brand of adjustable wrench.
That’s right!
Love this, I am looking at the same thing. Very informative
Nice job I like it I’m going have to look at maybe investing in one of these units for myself.
Thank you! We love our so far.
I did the first dry pour for my mini split here in ohio and it came out great!
Nice set up,I have central ac and heater, but mine go thru air ducts, that one is really nice, enjoy!
Thank you!
Awesome Video!! Once again look forward to your videos each week, my day was crazy yesterday but finally was able to watch the video tonight. Thank Y’all for the videos! But missed the trip to the beach or to go fishing..I guess Jim had too much work to do in this video.
Thank you very much! Yes…. We definitely need to slow down a make a swamp trip soon!
Great video, I would have been 3-4 weeks on this type of install. You seem to know a little, now a lot, about a lot of things. I might need one of these in the coming years and might have to hire you to install it. At my age it's hard to each an old dog new tricks. I was told as we have a heat pump it has to have lines run underground but this one doesn't seem to have that.
you guys are so cool have a good day God bless
Thank you George!
Great job on the HVAC unit install. You might want to think about adding a tank to the end of the condensate lines to catch the water. We did and were surprised at how much water is produced by the system. We were getting about 5 gallons/day (your mileage may very). It would be a great resource to water the garden with.
That’s a really cool idea!! Thank you!
Great job! Now you’re in business!
Thank you Marc!
Wonderful installation!!! Never thought of using little chicks 🐤🐥🐤to tamp the dirt in the utility trench -- that is totally a Hootis that needs to be patented
I just can not imagine the stress you were feeling with BOTH the President and Fore-Ladly on-site during the install
Hi y'all. Y'all are amazing. Don't know how you do it. But keep it up. Great job. 👍👍❤❤.
Thank you so much Mr. Larry!
Great job. On a side note, Lydia looks amazing in jeans.
Congratulations Your house is beautiful! and I Love all the imperfections, you say there are that you can't even see.... Lol 🙂
Thank you very much Cindy!
Southern people call it a Crescent wrench. Don't worry about what others say. You're all good!
That’s right! Thank you!
@@CajunCountryLivin 🥰
have a mr cool 5 ton mini split with 4 heads 3 9s and a 12 (heat/cool)... after installing, my average elect bill went down 30%. Great system, live in the Arizona desert ....
Thanks for sharing Donnis! We are excited to finally get ours installed!
Good morning Lydia and JIm. That Senville system is nicely designed and should do the trick for you and be very energy efficient. Nice job on the install Jim, very neat, clean and organized. Good thing you had Ladly there to supervise the job 😉 Give that cutie a big hug. I built a 1500 sq ft shop at my sons house here in Bakersfield 2 years ago. Went with (2) 2 Ton Mini Splits on opposite sides of the shop. They handle the extreme heat and cold of the area nicely and are very energy efficient. I'm sure you will be very happy with your system. My only concern was that it didn't appear that you had any physical barrier betweent dry pour slab and the house siding. Being it appears the unit is locate on shady side and the porous nature to absorb moisture, it could cause problems down the line. You might consider sliding some flashing material down that back edge to act as an isolator from the siding. Have a great week you two. Larry, Central Valley, Ca.
Thank you very much Larry! We sure hope ours work as well as the units that you installed in that shop!
Definitely need air conditioning with this hot couple 😊❤ Before you said dry pour, I was like do a dry pour pad 😂😅😅 Gus looked concerned you were digging up one of his bones 😂 the out door unit beside the downpipe looks better? Jim the chicken is hinting at the fried chicken 🍗 Happy comfortable home. Until the next video ❤❤❤ 🏡
We were going to just install a fiberglass pad, but then we stopped for a moment and said, “Robin would want us to do a dry pour” so we got busy! Hope you are having a great week friend!
Good day. Hope you’re well 😊
Hi! We sure are!!😄
Nice work y'all. That unit will run great once you get off grid.
Thanks Ray!
@@CajunCountryLivin You're very welcome.
Cool man cool !!!
Hello their guys good job
Thank you!
Nice install, I went with a 48k mini split with 4 zones in my house. Mr Cool brand so I didn't even have to vacuum the lines, they come precharged.
It has dropped my bill by $250 a month!
Mr cool = #1
Awesome. I have been thinking about installing one for our house, but I seen it was rated to -20 and here it gets colder than that sometimes.
They also come with auxiliary heat strips for when the temperature drops that low. But wait….. colder than -20 degrees? Larue ….. you need to move South my friend!😂
@@CajunCountryLivin, I am 65 and that would be nice 🙂.
Hey and y’all got yer winder back 👍
For sure !
YA'LL ARE THE BOMB.....lov from south alabama..
Thank you!
There I was watching Cody & Summer's (Can't Contain Us - YT) Wedding video, when all of a sudden there appeared a woman, interviewing guests, who looked identical to you, Lydia. Was that you? It HAD to be! Art in Calif.🤓
It was definitely me!😊
Please do a follow up after winter and let us know what the lowest temperature was, what you had the thermostat set to and how it maintained that temperature.
😊
I thought that said 'senile'-my bad😁Thanks for the video
🤪🤪
Thanks!
Thank you very much!
Looks great. Is there a way that you can revisit this in a few months? Gus loves them dirt baths....lol😂
Just let us know if we can help Robert 😊😊
Y’all, Gus has got such a “Ruff” life you need to take it easy on him!
Lol! Jeff….. that dog is so ridiculously spoiled! 😂
Ahhh look at those little chicks!!! Loooove the Color’s of them!!!
😊😊
See what happens when yall slack on the job. BOTH supervisors had to step in and straighten yall out!! 🤣 That unit looks awesome. Cant wait to see how well yall like it down the road. "Jimbo the chicken whisperer"!! Do I see a new shirt design? 🤣🤣🤣 LOL!! Scalded for calling it a crescent wrench? I thought thats what it was called. Jim, You make this stuff look and sound so easy. Great job on the install. Have a great week, yall!!
Do the hokey pokey your air flow in put your air flow out...❤ 28:33
"system" a set of things working together.
Jim had me laughing at how many times he said it. 😂
I'm glad this system works for you.
You bought a heating/ cooling system, that came as a complete ready to install system.
You came up with a system to get it done.
No hootis required.
Now that's a system.
Okay I'll stop talking about the system.
Ladly can't help but be cute no matter what she's doing.
Nothing like playing with the chicken feed before giving it to them 😊
As always wishing you three the best.
Hi! Oh, us too. It was a running joke for the rest of the day!
What a great system of words you have comprised!😜
Thanks for all the love as usual!
