Is the reversing valve the issue? Combined with the low compressor starting speed, lack of differential pressure to slide the valve over fully so it ends up sitting half way, bypassing until there's enough gas flow to get it positioned right? My logic is those reversing valves are driven by the pressure differential, right?
I don’t believe so in this instance. Every time I’ve had a faulty RV I’ve seen some sort of pressure and temperature difference somewhere in the system. On these I had no movement anywhere.
I was using the MeasureQuick app. It’s had a good layout. A few little things I don’t like, but overall the layout is great. Love being able to swipe and see all the readings I need.
I wondered if they swapped phases at the compressor to preserve the blower rotation. But I came to say maybe you should make a short clip documenting the mQ weirdness and then go to their support portal and raise an issue. And you had that other thing where the metric units weren’t honored when viewing the probes. Somebody should tell them.
I did email them about a month ago about this issue and they said they would sort it out on the next update. That was two updates ago 😂 hopefully they sort it.
I don’t mind them overall but they do seem to have some issues. I work on the tri-capacity series the most. Everyone Actron I’ve worked on seems to have a difference board setup too with different ways of changing parameters. It’s small but still annoying.
that view is amazing
If there was a phase rotation issue where would you swap any two phases? Why not at the motor itself? At the vsd drive? Love the videos. Cam
Thanks mate. I swap it at the isolator or power terminal block. That way everything is receiving the same phase rotation.

Great videos mate! Is that the testo app you using?

Which meter are you using? Asking as mine doesn’t have the phase rotation feat
I’m currently using the Fieldpiece SC680 which has that function. It’s a solid meter.

@@hvacraustralia it was worth a try! 😂
What I love your vids is most of them are your own companys fuck ups haha and you fix them
I’ve noticed a few of my videos have been stuff we’ve done recently 😂 I’m going to a Daikin VRV commissioning of ours tomorrow so fingers crossed.
@@hvacraustralia oh yess!! I can't wait
Welcome to the refrigeration and air conditioning trade boys and girls 😅
100% 😂
8:17 you said you called Temperzone Tech support while working on a Actron.
Maybe that’s why the service manual is still under works???????????
Temperzone tech support just having a laugh 😂 I think I do this all the time. I’ve had to correct myself a few times.
How bout actron is just shit house full stop. Always get issues from factory.
You’re kidding mate w
