I appreciate that. I’m thinking if I just keep making videos and getting better at it eventually I’ll get a decent following. Really just want to get into product reviews and build series.

recheck year 1978 had round headlight I THINK AND 1979 had square headlight I believe

Thanks for the comment. Through my experience 78 custom had round headlight and any better trim package had square. 79 was square only. This truck is a custom so I think you’re correct on it being a 79.

🤦🏻‍♂️ so tired of hearing people say that. I used to think the same thing. Then I educated myself. Custom trim packages have the round headlights .

Hey, just found your channel. I have a 1980 302 with a C6 transmission. It shifts ok. I have added 3 packs of instant shudder fix and the tranny still shudders...in park, in neutral, in drive...at certain rpms. At some rpms it doesn't shudder. Do you think it could be the flex plate or torque converter...or something internal? I can remove the tranny and replace those two things, but hate to go through the headache and find out it is internal. I have read that sometimes when matching up tranny's and engines the wrong flex plate could be used and that would cause a vibration. I bought this used of course and the engine and trans
are both transplants and I don't know any history. Thanks

I think shudder fix is more for a modern torque converter with “lock up” clutches in tc. I think you’d be better off with a different product. I’d try Lucas trans additives. These transmissions are much more primitive and easier to work with.

If the member wasn’t all rusty I would definitely save it. I get $100-150 for a cross member around here.

How do you get it out without cutting? I’m working on one atm and I’m stumped on how to get the brace off in one piece

@@cowboy16-68 take all the bolts out. Top of the frame as well. Either a pry bar or a big heavy hammer or both. Start sliding it back in the frame & then push one side back & it will drop.

@@jesseduke694 what did you do to get the bolts out of the top? They are so close to the body and don’t have much wiggle room it seems🙃 stupid ford

    • @jesseduke694

@cowboy16-68 use a open end wrench to get between the frame & cab & whatever u need to get the nuts off from in the frame rails. Once they are just loose bolts they should push up & lean them one way & they should pop out. Worse case take a jack lift the cab alil if need. I've never needed & when I put them back together I don't use any bolts up top.
