Both of this trucks can do all this trails easily. It comes down to the drivers..
I could do it with my Honda Element
It's the driving skills. It's always the person behind in any equipment
Also the Ford f150 has the fx4 off road packege
These guys are not off roading, they're driving the trucks off road. The path negotiation is silly.
@@jamescontrino5099 I could do it with Toyota Corolla.
Driver mod is crucial in off-roading
And tire selection I’d assume.
The driver mod comes with practice and making mistakes.

Exactly. Those lines you chose and approach angles were so bad

Offroading is all about the line you take. And comparisons like this prove it.

@@midlifeparty funny thing is; I don't go offroad. I actually drive RC rock crawlers, and its EXACTLY the same principle regardless of the crawler you're driving.

Yeah Tundra is tough
Fr
Then it wouldn't be biased
I love our 2nd gen Tundra. It's a comfortable vehicle. If I were going to buy another truck it would probably be another Tundra, but I've always had my eye on the F150. It is hard to switch though when the Tundra and every other Toyota/Lexus we've owned has been completely reliable and so easy to maintain.
Yeah I like Toyota as well... but Ford does make a nice truck I have to say
My buddy’s 2019 f150 just died at 60k miles. The transmission gave up. He’s now looking into a tundra.
@@Anusarthi brutal
@@Anusarthi there's a youtuber whos Tundras engine died at 60 K. It happens. His channel is all about his Tundra.

I got a sneaky suspicion that these guys are both doing this in 4 high and the Ford owner didn't lock his rear diff 🤣
or press and hold tc button..lol
@@nickgibb4687 hahahahaha
I was thinking the same that f150 did not use 4 low and did not lock the differential, also the need to get some air out of those tires maybe to 19PSi, is sad the Thundra do not have a locking differential
@@alexmontalvo5854 they now do on the new ones.
@@alexmontalvo5854 they have atrac which acts as lockers
I feel like 99% of this course comes down to the driver and tires. No clear winner
Of course the yota is the winner reguardless just the better built vehicles
@Doritos oh ok thatz why they last longer better built & hold value longer makes sense to me
There is a clear winner. The manufacturer is the clear winner. Close to a hundred thousand dollars for neither truck to climb a hill. Off Road my anus.
Looks like they needed to air down tires. Should have been able to crawl up the hill easily both trucks.
Agreed, I have a tundra and have no problem with worse spots than that to get to where I go to camp, and my buddy's uncle has a ford and he makes there for buck season every year.
Was wondering the same thing. Definitely don't wanna go to any trails with that group. Looks like they spend more time doing this dumb shit than anything.
Plus horrible driving. My god
if you guys notice the rocks are all wet and of anything I have ever seen with cameras and hills .. that hill is alot steeper then it looks
but it's ok you guys are all pro level drivers I'm sure you would have made it lol
Reliability and looks, I will always choose my tundra. Owned a 2001, 2007, and now 2020 trd sport
Both trucks are great, that 5.7 V8 in the Tundra will never fail you. The F150 Eco is great too.
"Hey ya wanna figure out a way to destroy our front ends buddy?"........ "Absolutely!"
I've had a Tundra and now have a 3.5 Ford. There are drawbacks to both but I saw no clear winner here and the Dodge and Chevy wouldn't have done any better. Most of the trucks now are crazy close in their abilities.
Most true comment on here. Most of them are, so now its coming down to interior quality, and that is where Toyota I feel has kind of fallen behind.
Hard to beat that rear locker, if this one has it.
Most unbias and true comment. All the trucks are similar in their capabilities and honestly you can't go wrong with really any of them. It boils down to preference like engine output to fuel eco ratio and what you get with the truck for the price. It's really all personal preference/creature comfort related at this point. Ford, Toyota, Chevy or dodge, they're all probably going to do what you need it to do.
El problema está entre el volante y el asiento.
Jajajajaja😂😂🤔
Lo mismo iba a opinar manejan pésimo
Never been a Toyota guy, but I'll admit these +21 Toyota are starting to look finally look good.
Bro that tundra is like 15
@@jeromeweaver1728 yeah I know, I was talking more about these newer +21 Toyotas. I absolutely think the toyota in this vid is hideous.
Strange?!?!
You are joking right? The 21+ tundra look like cheap plastic toys all grill and they are not even V8 just a hard to maintain turbo V6 that is probably not as reliable. 2014 to 2021 is the best looking tundra
Both are damn fine trucks.
Gotta redo it and have both trucks take the same line/route.
I think they would perform much closer then before.
Esas dos locas lo que les falta son buenos choferes las 2 trocas son muy buenas camionetas
Just here to read all the experts on off-road 🤣🤣🍻
Driver skill, terrain difference in the mud, tundra definitely had the rougher side compared to the ford. Tires are they the same set up?...not really a good comparison for either truck.
Also the Ford f150 has the fx4 off road packege
No is not bro, this guys dont even know 1 bit about driving offroad! I mean guy said on walkie talkie,(that is way too slippery) wtf🤣🤣 fo sho amateurs!!😂🤣😂🤣
Dope video. Would take everything with a grain of salt though. Too many variables
Like in the beginning clip, where the tundra went through rougher terrain compared to the F-150
I like how in the beginning of the 1st shot the Ford stays way on the left where there's hardly any mud or holes. Then cuts back in after he has his speed built up.
I like how yota fanboys make excuses

Is this in Franklin Tennessee
Both absolutely great vehicles. They’ve both had their dark years, and made mistakes but generally awesome trucks. I currently own an 05’ Ford f150 with 200k+ miles for the last 10 years, that’s getting a little old and finally needing a few old parts replaced but still going strong. I just bought a 3rd gen Toyota Tacoma that is freaking unparalleled on the trail for a truck. I feel a Tacoma with the right lift, bumper for approach angle, and the right tires can be practically unstoppable on the trail. I love old trucks too. I’m currently restoring a 1969 Dodge w200 4x4 truck that is pretty awesome on the mountain as well !Anyway a fun video on 2 of the greatest trucks ever made . Thanks 👍
Here in Mexico that's not called off road, that how the roads are here, so is normal driving

Is this in trevorton pa?
I currently own both Ford and Toyota, (owned gm and dodge in the past) Yes Toyota will last longer but ford is hands down the next best truck manufacturer. I used to be a logger, it didn’t matter what company you came across they all ran fords. You’d never find a logger running a Chevy or dodge . They all have their issues but ford is the toughest American truck overall.
I’ve seen quite a few doges out in the bush, but yeah lots of fords
Idk man I seen alot of dodges on sites I would have to say the ford is tired with dodge on work sites
The company I work for gets a fleet of fords and dodges every year. We always have a few more issues with the dodges. Also they’re just plain uncomfortable to spend an extended amount of time in. Fords interiors are much more spacious
All im saying is that i have never ever seen someone pushing a tundra on the side of the road. Just saying.
All I've seen is mostly Chevys and Rams. Couple tundras.....Never a Yota Tacoma though.
Used to be a ford guy since 18 then bought first tundra in 2014 no regrets at all still going strong .
Do they have the same tires?
Should be done with the new F 150 and Tundra imo
Looks like a trail for short wheel base.
What tires are on the tundra?
Where is this at?
Tested on worst case scenario conditions and the Toyota Tundra comes out on top miraculously.
Wtf kind of “off-roading” is this lol who floors it trying to climb
Where is this?????
Is this at aaoa?
The tundras side was way harder on the mud race 😂 not even fair whatsoever.
Lol right, the mud was way deeper on the Ford's side
Looks that way because the tundra has no power 🤣
Hell yeah! Tundra's side should have been paved then it would have been fair!!!! 🙃
At the beginning, the Ford doesn’t have any mud holes.
Did you air down for that hill climb? Looks like the tires aren’t fluxing
What wheels and tires are on that tundra. What size too
17x8.5 Icon Rebound 25mm Offset / BFGoodrich KO2 315/70R17 Load Range C. Specs are in the description for both.
That 5.7 on the Tundra sound beautiful.
To be fair , are they running the same tires ... yes it does make a difference
How many times are folks going to continuously cernter punch blocking rocks?
Did the Tundra of the TRDpro packege? Cause all I saw was some aftermarket TRD on the side?
The Tundra is a SR5 model. Specs are in the description for both
the stickers for these two should say 4x4 but only at the grocery store even my fucking 02 avalanche has a rear locker from 20 years ago it's absurd should be standard for all vehicles with 4x4 badges
Clearly the Ford had a smoother line and there are many variables
The best thing to do is sit there, spinning your tires to create huge ruts in the road. Smart!
Standing behind those wheels at full throttle with those rock , are you nuts dude lol
I want to come back in 15 years and see which truck still running and what it's worth?
Both will still be around Im sure Toyota holds value like mad so I assume it would be worth more and with a little less issues like broken parts wiring sensors etc Toyota doesnt do anything particularly impressive in one category but they do it all satisfactory and very reliably im driving a 2015 corolla havent even seen a check engine light in 6 years...my friends Chevy Cruze knocks like diesel at only 80000kms lmfao
Why doesn't Toyota offer a locking diff on this truck dammit! I love my Tundra!
Because they don't understand their demographic. They lost me as a loyal customer because of that.
They now offer a locker on new 22 model check it out it’s bad ass and crawl control
@@hibiki54 you left Toyota because of a stupid rear locker? They know their demographic better than you. If you’re going to install coil overs, rear springs wheels tires a skid plate you might as well install a locker. Pretty easy….
@@smovee47 I know that is cool, but not getting a 22 because you can get a locker now. Nissam has always had one on the PRO-4X. You would think one would be offered on TRD models.
I’ll be having an e-locker installed shortly just gonna do the rear because I’ll have to use the air locker for the front and I don’t wanna run ARB again
Good video
Really want a f150 set up like that!
Давление в шинах нужно пониже
И на таком каменистом участке слишком низкое давление тоже нельзя нельзя, камни порвут как тузик
If you really want to test a day after day 4×4 truck, there is a place.. the mountain's area of Navajo Nation, many trucks meet their doom (PERIOD)
Same tires?
What exhaust system do you have on the tundra?
Dirty Deeds 8 inch Bam System
The Tundra's yellow fog lights gave it the advantage as there was a fair bit of low cloud. 🤣 ... ... ok, but seriously now it does have a much cooler face with that bumper/bar/& 🔅🔅 lighting than the 150!
I owned a few Ford F150's and they are trash. The vacuum lines would engage and disengage of the four wheel drive system. the brake calipers would constantly lock up and the power steering would leak on the exhaust system.
PLUS the frames are prone to bad rusting. My friend just sold a 2012 Ford F150 for a lot of money. outside looked sweet. and the father came and looked at this truck and loved everything about the truck. It even had fat ass off-road tires. OHHHH...wait...the frame was completely rusted out and soon would fall apart.
I own a Toyota and it is the best vehicles to buy (including a few Lexus's).
What about toyatas crawler mode though i understand this was a head to head straight up vs but the toyata has different selctions for offroad doesnt it 🤔
People would have cried if they used it. It would have climbed right up that hill
Where's that test taken?
I guess these folks have never heard of the term “momentum”.
I agree. I’m deployed in Kuwait and I drive in a lot of soft sand and momentum helps and I’m driving a Ford ranger. Now when I slow down I’ get stuck.

It's funny how he's stuck on the rock at the end and just keeps hitting it. Lol
As a mostly stock tundra driver I was disappointed with how both of these trucks did because I don't go slow when I'm offroad, I made it to the top of a mountain before my buddies in their custom Denali, Tacoma, and Ram made it off of the actual road, I had to turn around and drive 30 mintues just until I was able to find them, and the Denali had already busted the muffler mount
People always posting their trucks trying to beat an F150! That just tells me that Ford must me #1. 🤣👍
It'll ALWAYS be the truck to beat!!

F150 for life, but it's always nice to have friendly competition
Yeah I like how they keep the tundra tires full while the F 150 tires are low to prevent spinning while climbing

Horrible off-roads skills on both drivers accounts. One tire at a time ya rookies.
Let’s talk about this after 150,000 miles when the Toyota will still be running strong and the Ford will be barely running
I doubt it
I could get up this with my 98 Windstar.
Yup it is all about the setup and driver!
Worthless comparison. Looked liked two rooky drivers to me.

Tundra lane had worse conditions. Neither one of them aired down 😂
If i had to choose between an f150 and a tundra I’d take the f150 these new tundras are hideous at least Toyota did something right with the land cruiser gr
The tundra side I the mud drag race was much bumpier and this type of comparison is so driver dependent
It is not only the cars to compare, the driver’s quick choice of road conditions, path, agility, intelligence etc.
Who's driving these things a liberal? Get back in your smart car. Ha ha Haha.
The Tundra doesn’t have the 5.7 it only has the 4.6 on this test.
Are you sure it says in the description it has a 5.7
It’s a 5.7 tundra
Best part is I see all these owners in the city and suburbia using their trucks to the fullest lol. Full of groceries lol
The tires on the Toyota Tundra looks a little worn. Off roading is about the driver, the path chosen, vehicle settings etc.🔥🔥
100% FORD 💪
Biggest difference is the Toyota is still capable of 500 thousand miles or more.
Friend had a 5.7 drop a valve at 103k miles. So they are not bullet proof
Learning how to read terrain and angle approach make up all the difference, I have a 2 wheel drive Nissan frontier that’s manual and I’m certain my truck would make it up that.
Good for you
I know exactly where this is. Reading Anthracite offroad.. Ride dirtbikes on those trails.
That wasn't equal track in the mud at the start. Ford had no bumps on his side. Tundra won lol
