This is one of my favorite routes for the fact that Date is able to get closer to Mizuki which was sorely missing from the right-hand side routes(Iris ending and True Ending).

@@Nute202 yeah they all feel like strangers... Like c'mon I get that mizuki and date bicker but they also loved and cared about each other a lot. In the sequel it really feels like date was just mizuki's unloved roommate and not her adoptive father.
How does the fact that she lost the first person that actually choose her and was her only family has practically no impact on her character or the story ? And aiba was ready to die for date in the first game and she suddenly acts like that towards him too ?
The characters were really done dirty just for the sake of the "no spoilers" option and the kind-of-forced twist...
I don't even really care about characters that became even more one note like Ota and Moma because I already disliked them, but c'mon date, mizuki and aiba ? The 3 characters whose bonds were thought by everyone to be the best part of the game? Honestly now that I look back on it none of the cast feels like friends or have chemistry, it's really sad

@@Kyle81290 like I explained in my second comment, the issue isn't that the sequel isn't about them, but that what we have in the game doesn't make sense or contradicts the previous game. From a writing standpoint it makes absolutely zero sense and is honestly really stupid that the fact that mizuki lost the only parent that ever accepted her has no impact on the characters or story. That and the fact that aiba doesn't care that he's probably dead when she was ready to die for him in the first game without hesitation.
The new characters are cool but like I said previously when you look at it retrospectively none of them feels like they have a genuine connection beside the komejis. The game is always telling us that characters are best friends and super close and important to each other ect. But it's never *showing* it so it falls flat
Lien was cool overall but I personally can't get past his weird stalker introduction, the game really did him dirty. I think I could have actually liked him a lot if he started as kizuna's protective childhood friend or something and not just a stranger obsessed with an high schooler

@@cosmically4286 Bro its been 6 years since the first game. Mizuki was a character even got over the death of her parents quite fast. The part of Nirvana Initiative where we actually play as Mizuki takes place over the course of about 3 days. It is not very unusual that she‘d cry about Date at work 6 years later.

I know this because I didn't know you had to pick Date 3 times

I got the same thing, too. Picked Shoko and Renju after the first rejection, then learned I had to keep returning to Date.

this was the first ending I got and I'm glad it was because I loved the dynamic between Mizuki, Date and Aiba. Gave me similar vibes to Lee and Clementine from The walking dead game but unlike in the walking dead, Mizuki and Date are a lot more stubborn towards each other ( *and I love it lol* )

Okay but can we talk about how good Mizuki’s VA is??? Like her voice acting alone made me tear up man Mizuki didn't deserve all this trauma. I have a feeling that Corina Boettger (Mizuki’s VA) was actually crying while recording this scene.

If I remember correctly Pewter was deleting everything from the Wadjet system in the climax of the true ending.

They just backup all their data(into small information around the world just like aiba do) into the internet(probably hides in system 32)
