Love your Tutorials Kate, you are my first UTuber. I started watching you right before you annouced the pregnancy of Emily. I'm a Hairdresser too, but had to retire because of Breast cancer complications. Keep up the good work. God Bless You!!
Thank you so much for sharing! I have very fine, pretty straight hair and always need help making it look and stay big. I know how busy you are with your new addition so I really appreciate these tips!
Thank you, very helpful. I’ve recently grew out my fine straight hair. And my hair hopefully will look as great as yours when its finally cut to a blunt cut.
My problem is the exact opposite :D, I have huge frizzy hair, and I want it to be smooth and silky as yours is at the beginning :D. Nice video, though. Love you haircut!
This is super helpful! Thank you!! My hair is exactly like yours in that I struggle to create volume, body, and texture. I’m definitely going to grab the Living Proof texture spray you mentioned and use these tips :)
So I need texture spray in my life, or rather hair! Thank you for this super easy and practical video. I have the most limp, flat, straight hair and can never get the teasing to stay.
Everytime I watch a video of yours I learn something new! Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule!! Emily is adorable and those big brothers are so proud! ❤️ She is one lucky lady! If you have time, what lipstick are you wearing? It’s beautiful!
Hi, I was wondering if you have a video on all about your hair Style and cut ? Like what cut you ask for at the salon You’re favorite hairstyle and Products.thanks 😁❣️ loving your channel.
Love your videos! I'm from SC and the weather is always hot & humid. What products do you recommend to keep style and shiny hair when out in the weather. I have fine, color treated hair (blonde highlights) and when I'm out in the humidity and heat for an hour my hair looks frizzy and dry. Style is also lost after being outside and is very frustrating when you take the time to style. I'm using Sebastian hair spray and I feel this product is making my hair more dry. You have beautiful hair and would love to know your favorite products and styling tools in the summer time and what u do to keep it shiny and styled in hot humid weather. Thanks again for sharing your videos and tips with us!
Kate, when you use the texturizing product, is washing your hair the next day a must or can you get away with a day or two. I can actually go 4-5 days between washing but I haven't used a product like this.
You’re my fav! I live near the Raleigh area and the steamy hot summer weather is brutal on my thin fine hair. Do you have a stylist/salon in the area you would recommend?
Hi Kate! I enjoy your vidoes and content very much. I know you are a hairstylist, so I was wondering what your thoughts are on shorter hair (almost pixie short) with an undercut. Like Chloe Brown's hair, she is on youtube. Is it that terrible to grow out if you decide you don't like it anymore? Just would love to know your thoughts about it. Thanks so much!
Thanks for sharing. I definitely have baby fine, limp hair. What kind of comb are you using, and what kind of flat brush do you suggest? I am going to get the products you use this week. Any suggestions on a good shampoo and conditioner as well? Again, thank you so much for the videos you post. I love watching them.
I stopped the video at 1:01, so I hope you didn't already address this, but what kind of hair tie do you use when you sleep with your hair in a high pony?
Susan DiMonte just look for a *fabric elastic* either online or in any drugstore/grocery store/beauty store (they are usually an elastic material that is sometimes tied in a knot rather than the traditional elastic ponytail band). Here's a link to an example (I haven't tried this specific product but it's just an example of what to look for) www.luulla.com/product/43564/elastic-hair-ties-5---emi-jay-like-stretchy-hair-bands---preppy-fabric-hair-tie---girls-no-crease
Do you think there is a difference between aerosol vs. pump texturing spray? I currently use a pump spray and I love the smell and how it keeps my fine hair from getting too frazzled during the day but it doesn't do much for volume or "thickness" - dry shampoo is an obvious addition but when used without my current texturing spray routine it sort of makes my hair more static-yet-sticky and I've noticed that it dries out my scalp regardless of brand/price.
Hey Kate I live in Raleigh and I need a new hairstylist. Can you give me suggestions? I am transitioning from dyed brown/blonde highlights to my natural gray. Thank you! 😘
Awe thanks for sharing. I know how busy you are with the new baby. I have purchased all your favorite hair products and love them. I really love that comb by the way. I may get another in case I misplace it. Thanks again for posting such helpful videos. I recently moved from Raleigh so I know the weather in summer is brutal and makes for lots of ponytail days!
My hair has no volume what so ever! It looks like when you tease your hair you are not starting with the hair right at the scalp, but a couple inches away. Am I correct? I don't know how taunt to hold the hair or the pressure I should use with the comb when I try this. Mine never comes out well. I would love any tips on teasing hair techniques. Thank you
You really just need to practice and experiment on your own hair as everyone has different hair in terms of thickness, growth pattern, and number of hairs. The keys are finding the right tool (comb vs. brush) and placement based on style/hair part etc. A technique I used to use often was lightly teasing near the scalp, spraying with a light hold hairspray, and giving the section a 15sec blast from a hair-dryer and lightly combing to hide the back comb.
I love your hair. How often do you wash it? And do you always blow dry it after you wash it. Do you ever air dry? I’m asking because your hair looks so healthy and I’m wondering if blow drying and heat styling with heat protectants is okay and doesn’t cause damage?
Heat protectors reduce damage but do not prevent damage, every time you use heat you are damaging your hair. Regular trims prevent the look of damage (ie. split ends, flyaways) but hair is already "dead" so healthy hair really comes from healthy eating/lifestyle. The less you do to your hair the "healthier" it will be but let's be honest, we style our hair. Just use the lowest heat setting possible on your tools and don't overstyle. Use heat protectors as a barrier between hot tools and your hair (hair spray kinda does the same thing though).
Your hair videos and tutorials are the best!!! thank you for making them
Yes! I love these quick tutorials! Thanks Kate!

Style and cut ? Like what cut you ask for at the salon
You’re favorite hairstyle and Products.thanks 😁❣️ loving your channel.
I love the Amika texture spray. I bought it on the recommendation and my best hair days are when I use it.
You are very classy. Love your videos!
Love your haircut! Can you post back side & side photos? Would love to be able to show my hair dresser 😊

Kenra 25 spray is also great for those of us with naturally curly hair to keep the ringlets frizz free.
I love your videos and tips. My hair is fine too and I’m STILL trying to get the teasing down! Lol
Super helpful video!!!
Love your tutorial! Who cut and style your hair? I have showed picture of the hair style I want but it just didn't turn out. Do you cut hair? Thanks!
Kate, when you use the texturizing product, is washing your hair the next day a must or can you get away with a day or two. I can actually go 4-5 days between washing but I haven't used a product like this.
Love your hair! I too strive to have big hair.
It's pretty afterwards, but, I kinda like the" BEFORE" better.
So silky, smooth, and movable.
Very helpful! Thanks 💕❤️
You are gorgeous!
Great video. Can you recommend an unscented texture spray?

Love this tutorial Kate! Your hair videos are so good! How is your hair cut so I can ask my hairdresser 😉
Take a screenshot and print it to bring to your hairdresser :)
I was going to ask the exact same thing!!!
Beck Cetera I did! It’s not the best though

Check out her blog, she has a ton of articles that should answer all your questions!
Thank you. I will go check it out.
Your gorgeous! Love the vids
I never leave the house without a teased up crown.. and you rock big-ISH hair ;)
Do you have any drugstore dupes for these products??
Same here
Not sure if it's a dupe, but the Garnier Texture Tease works well for me.
I stopped the video at 1:01, so I hope you didn't already address this, but what kind of hair tie do you use when you sleep with your hair in a high pony?
peppermintjamie a fabric elastic. It’s usually what Kate says she’s put her hair up in for sleep. Hope that helps!
Ellie W I can't find anything called peppermintjamie fabric elastic
That’s the girls name who asked the question ^^^^ 😘
Susan DiMonte just look for a *fabric elastic* either online or in any drugstore/grocery store/beauty store (they are usually an elastic material that is sometimes tied in a knot rather than the traditional elastic ponytail band). winter keith Is it the comb by Cricket?
Susan DiMonte Yes the cricket comb.
Would the texture and finishing spray add to hair fall problem if I use these frequently?
Hi! Can I use dry shampoo instead of texture spray to add a little volume?
My hair has no volume what so ever! It looks like when you tease your hair you are not starting with the hair right at the scalp, but a couple inches away. Am I correct? I have fine hair as well...is the style a razored bob? I've heard varying view points on razoring fine hair. Anyway, your hair is gorgeous.
butterflytatt2 Recently she said on Instagram that she just has light long layers, no razoring.
Carrie Campbell thanks for your reply.
Kate you really need to get a Hairshark
How do you taper your ends? Is it layered or textured on the ends?
Michelle Drew She talked about her haircut recently on IG and said it's lightly layered. She didn't mentioned texturizing.
I feel like the texture spray makes my hair look greasy. Any tips?
Try a powdered version instead of spray
I so wish I would have seen this weeks ago. I had a very similar cut but I my hair just keep laying so limp, flat, dull that I cut it :(
