    Oh my dear girl, I can not thank you enough. I watch the entire video. I did what you did and actually dried my hair first w a paddle brush and I used products. And then followed the rest. And for the FIRST time in my 65 years, I successfully styled my hair. I’m in shock. First try. I really can’t thank you enough. 🌸

    Our hair is a similar length- this was SO helpful! Thank you for the really detailed step-by-step. My hair has some natural curl/texture so anytime I try this, it ends up practically in ringlets and I couldn't figure out what the heck I was doing wrong.

    I absolutely love your videos. You helped me understand my hair. My hair is very similar to yours. You helped me understand how to curl my hair and how to use the products. How to get the products to work with my hair. I can't curl my hair with a curling iron. I've tried. It's kind of awkward. But a few years ago you talked about a straightener called a GHD. I researched and read about it. I invested in one and I've loved it for the past few years I've had it. And help me to actually curl my hair. I appreciate your videos and I thank you so much. They're extremely easy to follow. Your videos helped me to gain confidence to do my hair. Because as women are here is very important. For me if my hair is done then I feel amazing. So thank you Kate, just thank you ❤️

    I think I have the 1 1/2” and was wondering why my hair wasn’t as beachy looking like this. My barrel is too big for the length of hair I have. I have really smooth hair because I don’t color treat it and it’s so slippery and doesn’t really hold a curl. I’ll have to try this size. The 1” I have isn’t right either.

    Kate, have you tried or seen the soft waves that can be achieved from rocking your flat iron back & forth as you glide through it? I saw a young woman do it and she gave good instructions, but I feel like you are much easier to follow. I tried doing it as she did, but it was a total fail. I really want to learn the technique because it would work with my natural texture.

    I am a new subscriber and new to using a curling iron. Your videos are SO helpful. I love how you explain everything in a succinct manner yet very charming! Do you have an absolute "Beginner" video? I wonder why some people use the barrel pointed down method and some people use the barrel pointed up? Does that change the curl somehow, or is it simply personall preference?
    Also wondering why some people section three horizontal layers but you just work in vertical layers? Does that make a difference in the curl pattern or is that personal preference also? If you (or anyone) could answer that would be a big help! Thanks so much!

    Great tutorial! I’m a cosmetology student and some of our instructors frown upon the new ways of curling hair. The way we’re taught makes a full curl...like for a wedding/prom look. While that’s great, more clients are leaning towards looser more casual, beach-like waves. Your video was easy to understand and duplicate. Can’t wait to try this next week! 💇🏻‍♀️👏🏻

    • @bethgrant1112
      @bethgrant1112 4 роки тому

      To keep those curls going in to tomorrow, try a loosely gathered ponytail on the top of your head with a really soft squishy elastic like a scrungee... this prevents breakage. If you dye your hair and it’s delicate or brittle, sleep on a silk / satin pillowcase. This helps minimise breakage around the face area. It also helps keep the curls going. Good luck!

    My hair is always frizzy when I do loose waves. I use the Bellami hair flat iron/wand. I love love love waves but why does my hair come out like Cotten candy. Any suggestions 🤦‍♀️😊
