Love it! I do the same kind of thing. The key I feel is the blow dryer! I have also found that it took a couple of months to 'train' my hair to be less oily. It's almost like it needs to gets used to me washing it less often - but it has. After 3 years I can successfully wash my hair only once a week. Admittedly, day 6 & 7 are only updo days, but still it's great. The ladies I work with can't believe it! Oh and the BEST dry shampoo I found is Hair Play by KMS. 😉👍
I do use my new Dyson Airwrap (the curling cones) on second and third day hair. It adds so much body and volume. I can do it right on top of dry hair and get great results.
I have a round brush hair dryer and I use that on the day or two after. It does give my hair lift and body I just use it on dry hair too,the products are revived like you said!
I’m thinking that Kate’s hair is similar to mine. So I like watching her style her hair. My biggest problem is usually keeping the swoop out of my face. She’s given some good tips.
I love the Zala hair extensions - The colour is perfect and they are so easy to use. Shipping was insanely quick i got them in two days! Honestly could not be happier - Have the hair extensions and now a ponytail extension as well!
Love yr tips..nvr heard of the curling iron tip at root sooo great. But yr bathroom it’s so gorgeous. You have lovely taste. I Just kept looking at yr bathroom and mirror. Thank you !!
Any tips on being an absolute grease ball? I always watch these videos and they help but aren't greasy like me. I don't dye my hair so I don't have the dry/damage. I have really long hair but the grease is the issue. I wash every 5-6 days. Also oil starts on day 2. I Rotate dry shampoo depending on grease level, literally have a rotation. The struggle is real!!!
That is me! Since I have been home, I have tried to go 3-4 days. Look like a greaser! I use dry shampoo but I don't get that stuff. Just tried the blow dryer looks eh, ok. When do you use this, dry shampoo?
@@melissanoble1621 you can use dry shampoo anytime to absorb oil. Some people put it on clean hair to be there to absorb the oil before it starts. I don't, I used to do it on day 2. BUT since quarantine, a lot has changed!!!! I really think my hair is better with less dry shampoo! I think it'll be good for going out but I wont use it daily anymore. The biggest thing I've found is a clarifying shampoo to really clean the hair. I have always double washed (2 shampoos bc one round of shampoo isnt enough). The one i got is called decrease from Amazon. Its sulfate free and has essential oils in it. Im loving it and my day 3 looks like my old day 2! So i get an extra day!!!! Im very happy! So yes, I will now be using my dry shampoo less and more strategically i think. I think there is maybe too much build-up. Hope this helps!
@@alinatherese1115 thank you for that info. I wondered about the essential oils in some shampoos I have been looking at. I usually bought from my salon, however,... so glad for your information. 😁
This was so helpful! I am glad to know that the damp edges around the shower cap is normal. How do you revive the frizzy/curly baby hairs that it causes? That’s the biggest issue for me.
Great video! I would love if you could review more hair products, especially when Ulta has hair products on sale and letting us know what is a good buy and what isn’t. Would love if you could give more reviews on shampoo and conditioner sets. Every time Ulta has shampoo sales I never know what to buy. Thx!
Where are you from? Alabama here! Sure enjoy your videos and thanks for sharing. It’s amazing what issue one woman might be having, another might have the same.
What is the temp of your curling iron? I have to leave the iron on my hair for about ten seconds to get the curl you get in three. Maybe I should use a higher heat setting?
I know your hair isnt fine, but would you do a video on preventing breakage tips for fine hair? I have the hair that won't grow past a certain length because it breaks. I've tried so many things and just cant seem to get it to stop. I cant even get my top layer to grow out :(
Me too. I ran across Aussie Dry Conditioner. I thought what the heck, I'll try it. I have dry naturally curly hair and the dry conditioner was exactly what my curls needed to add the extra softness and frizz control. Love.
i know i'm slighly late to the party but this is awesome. i'd love to see like a day by day morning hair routine to see what products you use to style days 1-3 and more if you go more...I find that if i use products day 1 and day 2 my scalp is just too itchy to handle a 3rd day i don't understand haha.
Love your videos! Would you have a recommendation for a boar bristle flat style brush? I’ve considered the Maison Pearson but I’m confused over the correct one to purchase. My hair if medium length, natural curl and fine. I blow it straight! I would love your opinion.
I can't go more than 2 days. 😔 It gets too oily and it's so fine that it just gross. I have yet to find a dry shampoo within budget that doesn't make my hair feel heavy or producty/chalky. Also what do you recommend for the colic on the back of the head that misbehaves?
Darby Terpstra have you tried batiste in the original scent. It’s a green and blue bottle. That is the only dry shampoo that works for me. I also have very fine oily hair but with that dry shampoo I can wear my hair for 2 days. Which is good for me. Usually I have to wash every day 🙁
Kate, I love you so much and I just love your videos! Thanks for the update and I can't wait to try the blow dryer and shower cap. I have started experimenting with false lashes since I am at home for a bit. What cleaner do you use to get the glue off of your eyelids without rubbing? It doesn't want to come off no matter what I try! Help!
Neutrogena oil free makeup remover works very well on a q tip. Also you can soak the lashes in a little bowl overnight with miceller water (kinds for waterproof makeup work best), then wipe them clean in the morning by wrapping them up in something like a taco (Almay circular remover wipes are great for this). I reuse lashes for ages this way, no need to tweezer glue off!
I have really greasy hair. I've seen a video where you have mentioned using a clarifying shampoo once a month? What one would you recommend? I'm in the UK. My hair is greasy and very fine. Also what shampoo and conditioner would you recommend? X
But really...a $150 brush and a $550 Dyson with attachments. Who is your audience!? For me the reason for not washing my hair everyday is so i don't have to use so much heat. This defeats the purpose.
My hair is so crappy after I wash it day 3 or 4 it’s at its best. Plus it takes at least 4 hours to air dry, so it’s time consuming. We all have different hair.
Also love your hair color in the back the dimension is so pretty!
You are a wonderful teacher. I have enjoyed putting all your tips and tricks to use. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos.

I find your tutorials to be so very helpful and easy to follow. Thanks for doing what you do!
Thank you!!! I needed this tutorial and you are fantastic!
Day 3 hair tonight
I do use my new Dyson Airwrap (the curling cones) on second and third day hair. It adds so much body and volume. I can do it right on top of dry hair and get great results.
Her day 3 hair looks better than my day 1 hair.
Elizabeth Pelow mine too.
Same

Absolutely love your hair videos
Thank you for saying that us one dayers aren't crazy!!!! I am an oily girl and not washing just doesn't work for me

Love your hair. Thx for sharing.
I love your videos---your explanations are always so clear and practical and well thought out! Thank you!!
Your voice is so soothing!
I learn so Much by you!!!
Looks awesome!! Can you do an end of the day video as well - one that shows what your hair looks like still at the end of a refreshed 3 day hair day?
It looks freshly washed! Gorgeous 😍
I love the Zala hair extensions - The colour is perfect and they are so easy to use. Shipping was insanely quick i got them in two days! Honestly could not be happier - Have the hair extensions and now a ponytail extension as well!

Thanks for a great video. I’m a weekly washer of long thick hair and dry shampoo is my best friend
Looks great, thanks for the tips. I'll give the Bumble & Bumble spray a try.
Wow your hair does not look like it’s day three. It’s looks so pretty. Thanks for this video Kate. I pray you and your family are staying safe. 😘
Love your bathroom!
Thank you for another informative video and you do such an excellent jog of tutorials! Bravo, Kate!
I only need to wash my hair once a week with dry shampoo towards the end. I have very course and thick hair 🌸

Thank you so much for this!!!!
Girl I’m so excited I got the 1 and 1.25 barrels and the base for 140$ because it’s half off until 2/1 on the site
i really like this haircut. what do i asked for at the salon to get something similar?
So good looking and great tips!
Your hair is so pretty what shampoo and conditioner do you use?
Where are you from? Alabama here! Sure enjoy your videos and thanks for sharing. It’s amazing what issue one woman might be having, another might have the same.
So I wouldn’t reapply heat protectant? Just rely on what is already in my hair?
What is the temp of your curling iron? I have to leave the iron on my hair for about ten seconds to get the curl you get in three. Maybe I should use a higher heat setting?
What about heat damage from the blow dryer with no heat protection?
Fine color treated hair, but a fair amount of it. Prone to Fritz and damage.
You make a curling wand look so easy 😂

Cassie Greulich yes!! I would
Love a video like this
What do you suggest to keep your hair from being a mess after sleeping on it?
What is the best clarifying shampoo? I have naturally silver hair, but I feel like my hard water causes some yellowing.
Instead of the oil you put on your ends can I use a dry conditioning spray
Which spray do you use?
Me too. I ran across Aussie Dry Conditioner. I thought what the heck, I'll try it. I have dry naturally curly hair and the dry conditioner was exactly what my curls needed to add the extra softness and frizz control. Love.
Jamie Hale I tried the one by Amika but there is also drugstore options I’ve tried Dove and Beatise

Caviar brand in powder not spray works for me.
Any chance you go to a video on how to touch up highlights until the salons reopen?
My question is: Why is it good to have dirty hair? Why not just wash your hair to revive it? I love having a clean head, so I’m really just curious.
yes. so much work. easier to just wash.
what oil would you use for the curling iron gears?
What type of curling iron do you use?
Good video! What curling iron do you recommend for fine hair?
If you shower at night would you just to the dry shampoo/restyling tips in the morning for the same result?
If I blow dry my hair it frizzes so bad, even with product. It takes a ton of product to reduce the frizz and ends up making my hair look terrible.
The shower cap you have looks cozy, what is it?
I’m karen and I always love your tutorials !thank you !
How is the volume on your Dyson attachment compared to the average blow dryer?
Love your videos where did you get your mirror on wall mirror?

What regular shampoo and conditioner do you like?!
Wear a shower cap even if you are taking a bath. The steam frizzes it out.

But one thing I don't understand..why not to wash hair??is washing hair less good??
It looks the same. Can you do a video on 4th day hair so we can do a comparison between the days. I have dry hair also
It seems like blonde hair last way longer than dark hair. Dark seems to show grease way more
What if you have itchy scalp?
Any chance you could tell me the name of your curling iron? Thank you!
I'm pretty sure she uses the 1.25 inch T3 curling iron :)
Does Moroccan oil work on ends?
My head gets itchy day three 😢
You look so different compared when I used to watch your videos years ago. I guess we all do. Lol
Looks good but it would have been quick it to just wash and blow dry it
Perfetto Dđ
Sono veramente bellissime complimenti
You have "miracle hair".
Beutiful

Why are people so against washing their hair lol? I love clean fluffy hair...I wash mine almost everyday.

What she isn't saying is that she has thick hair.
You owe me money. This woman took 7000 dollars from me
You could have washed, dried and styled your hair in less time!!!
People just wash your hair! It can’t be any more complicated than rubbing crap in your hair to absorb the oil and dirt. This makes no sense to me😂
Exactly! Just wash it and be clean! Gross!
If she wasn’t filming a video and explaining everything it would be a very quick process. No more than 4-5 minutes max.
This is marketing.
It’s her job.
Three day old hair is disgusting, I don't care what you do to it!
How rude. Each to their own. You obviously cared enough to leave a mean comment though.
Dyson is so overrated.
