I like the Japanese Death Note movies. I've only seen the first 3 but I think I heard there are four of them. Anyway, great video! I like seeing the movies get some recognition too.
Yeah, there are four Japanese live-action Death Note movies. The fourth one, Light Up the New World, is really good, too. I recommend watching it, it has a crazy twist at the end. Also, check out the Death Note Japanese TV drama if you haven't seen it already. Thanks for watching!

The anime cast react to this movie L and Rem: Damn it, why didn't I think about that? Light: How do I look and why am I using Death Note so openly? Well, apart from that he is a pretty good adaptation of me. Soichiro: So he was Kira. Well I'm glad I died so I didn't have to carry that burden. Misa: Why am I dark haired? Why do I complain about something Light does. I mean killing your father is bad, but it's Light who does it. Matsuda: Yeah, that's me. Aizhawa and Mogi: Where are our personalities? I don't know if you agree that would be their reactions, if you disagree or can think about the other characters's reaction, it would be good if you wrote that.
I think those are pretty accurate. Though I would add.... Ide: Why am I not included at all? Except for the musical, Ide was left out of all of the live-action adaptations, lol. I agree that Aizawa and Mogi didn't have much depth to their characters in the movies, too. I love their characters in the TV drama though. They were more fleshed out and played a bigger role. The banter/arguments between Matsuda and Aizawa crack me up every time. I like seeing my two favorite characters interacting in this way.
@@KitsunesTroveI agree. The Drama did a lot better job portraying the characters. The only problem I had about the Drama was that Mogi was hot-headed. There is only room for one hothead (Aizawa).
@@KitsunesTrove Yeah and this is how I believe they would react to the Netflix-crap: Misa: What!? I would *never* betray Light like that. What have they *done* to me? Light: How the hell do I look? Why am I so stupid? I would never show the notebook to make a girl fall in love with me. Firstly, she might be an opponent of Kira so she'll go straight to the police and get me cought. Secondly I of all people know that love is weakness. This version of me makes *Matsuda* look intelligent. I need my notebook now so I can write down the name of the idiot who made this stupid version. L: Why am I so emotional and stupid? It's not me. Mikami: Delete. Delete! DELETE!!! Soichiro: I can't believe they made me so violent. I can threaten to use violence if necessary, but I would never do it. This is *so* wrong. Ryuk: Why do I push him to use the Death Note? I just want to have fun. Matsuda: Why am I not involved? Aizhawa: Matsuda, you see what they did to the others. I'm glad I'm not in and you should be too. Matsuda: Yeah, I guess you're right.
