Yeah, I really liked all four of the Japanese live-action Death Note movies. I just liked the TV drama a little more. The light novel of L: Change the World is really good too.
I do like how the TV drama, and the Japanese movies too, were able to make Ryuk and Rem look just like they do in the anime. Yeah, his character design in the Netflix one was different, but I will say this: imo, Willem Dafoe as Ryuk's voice was the only good thing about that version, lol.

This TV drama is my absolute favorite of the Death Note live-action adaptations. If you're interested in watching it, I can post the links here. It takes place 10 years after the first movie when six Death Notes fall to the human realm at one time. It's actually really good imo. Matsuda's actor (Sota Aoyama) and Misa's actor (Erika Toda) also reprise their roles in this movie. And it has a really crazy twist at the end of it, too. That’s the problem, they took too many notes and made the netflix adaptation based on this adaptation, which is why it’s no where near death note
