- It's hard to believe, but I had completely different teeth in each of the three Jackass movies. Uploading this video represents my effort to let go of lifelong insecurities, and I hope it helps some of you out there to do the same!

I wasn’t prepared for this amazing wave of wonderful comments, thank you so much, Everyone! To the people who asked what to do about the awful smelling bacteria- run floss through your teeth, and then smell it. You’ll know right away if you have it. If you do, it’s extra important to floss regularly (and WaterPik in addition is great, too). It can’t hurt to get proper cleanings from the dentist, too. jesse pineda some people can’t help it. It’s genetics sometimes so thankfully tnhete are alternatives to have better teeth. I was one of those who didn’t have great parenting growing up and dental issues have plagued me forever. But when I get good money I’m gonna fix it for good.

It's so easy to say just get your teeth fixed, but people don't realize the cost and the hour spent, I have a Corvette worth of dental work that has been going on for 4 yrs and am currently in a hotel in Baltimore so I can wake up at 6 for another appointment tomorrow. The whole thing is fucking exhausting. That's while I'll never judge anybody on how their teeth look.

I had to have every one of my teeth pulled by the age of 26. Due to a severe enamel deficiency, there was nothing I could do to save them. I can relate to not showing teeth when I speak, and the hours I spent practicing in the mirror. That feeling of shame is not something that I would wish on anyone in the world. Dental work is so Goddamn expensive too, so much that I thought my only two options were to deal with it, or kill myself. Thankfully, I got a job with great insurance, and was able to afford dentures. My long-term goal is to get dental post implants. My journey may be far from over, but, I never thought I'd make it as far as I have. I wouldn't be here if I didn't have such a great support system from my wife and family. Life is always worth living, and worth fighting for.
Honestly I'm lucky, I nearly lost my teeth because the roof of my mouth was deformed so badly they caused my teeth to be ruined, I'm lucky my mom was nice enough to fix them.
My front tooth has been chipped for over a year since I can afford to fix it. I find myself being the quite one in the room more often even though I used to be the loudest and first to speak, makes me super depressed. This video a comment made me feel a lot better. Thanks for sharing.

But that's not the reason why I pulled 14 of my teeth, 4 being my wisdom teeth. I went through a bad time when my dad died and every single person I knew completely turned their backs on me. My whole family, my girlfriends family and she had broke up with me 4 months before my dad died. Everyone treated me just fine right up until my dad was lowered into the ground and I immediately became the scapegoat. The story is unbelievable. My whole life was supposed to change, what would've been 2 months after my dad died cause I was getting my license back. I used to pull hay for a living and It was lucrative and my dad and I were in business together. I had lost my license for 5 years. My multimillionaire sister became the executer to what was my dad's estate, but in all reality it was all mine. So I had a really tough time at the wake and I was fucked up and I guess I made a scene. My teeth were really hurting and that was why I was all fucked up at the wake. She looked at me like she was going to kill me. My sister is one of a kind. I knew my future was in her hands. So I thought if I didn't do anything about my teeth that she would hold it against me and take away my equipment. So I went and had 9 teeth pulled because of the fear i had for her. I figured I would be working again and making good money soon and I would just get implants, well she took all my equipment and she wouldn't let me lease the property that we had leased for years from her so I was out of business. I want into deep depression and don't even remember 2 years of my life. Nevermind I had to fix my teeth. I was unaware of the ramifications of what tooth loss would do to my face and looks and jawline and brow line and forehead and chin and temple's. It has destroyed the person I was and I have no girlfriend and I always had a girlfriend and I never had to even ask girls out, they would ask me out. The whole world is a different experience now. I am treated different by everyone. My family looks at me different. I think just maybe if they were around and I had a little support that it could've helped. I feel for you bro. I really do.

In reality I think that it’s extremely important to hear mega celebrities like Steve-O talk about things like their addictions, and their teeth because things like that can be so sensitive and people can feel ashamed. Hearing someone who you look up to/are a fan of confront these things head on is so beneficial and humanizing because it feels like it’s okay to talk about it, to accept it, and to do whatever you need to to feel okay. 💙

I have always been self conscious about my smile and teeth. At like 21, a dental assistant told me that I had the mouth of a 65 year old man, and so that pretty much sealed the deal for insecurity and depression.
That seriously hits home. Its sucks having bad teeth when you're young, looking at other people your age with their perfect white teeth. It's a MASSIVE insecurity of mine.
Ugh I feel so bad for you. Dental people and anyone in the health industry need to shine the positive. If ever anyone in a health care position tries to put you down, know it says more about them as it's unprofessional. It's wise to make a complaint to the people above them, then ask around friends / family / online for recommendations and seek kinder help. Literally never a need to say things like that to a client / patient. When I was younger I had a couple of rough experiences and the second time I complained and they fired the person (not my intention, but still) and said they had been WAITING for a client to say something so they could get rid of her! This taught me feedback is everything. I also give generous compliments when treatment is good. I have zero tolerance now for bs from professionals. Sure I can take advice when I need to, but when it's just mean, hell no.

Genuine, Steve-o is such an inspiration to me. He gives off the feeling of a cool uncle who was a delinquent in his youth, and still has that sort of playful nature, but he's mellowed out over time and just gives the best advice.

I really felt this video. I've never taken care of my teeth and its one of my biggest regrets. Im in recovery and have been clean for almost two years. Suboxone is very acidic and eats away at teeth. I have so many missing teeth and cracked and partially rotted teeth now. My breath always smells no matter how much i clean them. My girlfriend wont even kiss me open mouthed anymore. We've been together 5 years and have a daughter. It hurts me down to the deepest parts of my soul when my 3 year old goes ewww stinky when her face gets too close to my mouth. I would do anything to have a full set of teeth again. This is the reason i don't smile anymore and people think im miserable, when im just really embarassed.
Its funny how we notice certain things about our physical appearance and think that it is so obvious to someone else. Ive watched all of your old Jackass/Wild Boys stuff quite a few times and Ive never noticed that your teeth were yellow.
I think we really need to realize that we are usually the only ones who notice our own small imperfections. Anyways, love ya buddy youre fucking awesome.

It's okay dude, another 5-10 years and we'll be able to regrow them like we make a cup of coffee in the kitchen. Look up stuff like bioscaffolding techniques and methods. Earlier this year (february maybe?) some eye patches were able to reverse age-based macular degeneration that had blinded the test subjects. They regained a significant amount of sight in IIRC two week period. We've just about got synthetic kidneys (basically hard filters for the blood) knocked out - I expect to see that rolling out first embedded in portable technology (like oxygen generators vs bottles) and if necessary and possible perhaps implant them like pacemakers and insulin pumps.
Teeth should be easier for us to solve. Since we can sometimes "reinstall" them, we should be able to print a scaffolding much like the original from dental records or scan extrapolations and grow a tooth inside andor on it. People would get freaked out if I said even if we couldn't grow nerves (we can, though) we could use nanofiber wiring webbed/grown throughout the softer parts to mimic sensory input of the original system. :-) #terrans #democratizeallthethings

@@Connief1990 Here in Finland dentistry is free until you turn 18. After turning 18 if you need it for health purposes its super cheap but if its only cosmetic then you have to pay for it (still fair prices).
Problem is that in Europe, (at least in my country), if you want to get your teeth fixed, it will cost about 1050$ , but keep in mind that in some countries like in mine it's hard to get that money and everything is cheaper here (here you can rent a house for 200$ monthly but in America it's way more expensive) so it's basically like 2000$ to pay it or more
Thank you so much for the advice. My teeth suck. They've almost always sucked. I'm 35 now and I've actually kept them longer than most of my other family members. It's like we were all born to have the worst teeth. I'm going to get some work done, probably in mexico so I can actually afford it. And I've been worried "what if the color doesn't match? What if they look too different? What if one is shinier than the rest?" and you know what, you're right. Who cares? As long as I can make myself healthy, who cares. Some people are even born with teeth in worse condition than mine. I should be thankful I have something that can even be worked with to begin with.
