Partially true, Tried to invent a Time Machine when he had his 4 apartment's in 1 building while he was blown out on Ketamine. Obviously Steve lacked the Technology to make it work.
Growing up watching Steve O we all knew he had a serious drug/alcohol addiction, I’m really really glad he got help and became sober, and super glad he’s still alive and healthy ! Congrats Steve O keep it up! Huge fan !
I’m surprised that Ozzy Osborne and Steve-O aren’t friends. Extremely talented, extremely funny and were both fucked up on drugs for a long time and as soon as they sober, they got funnier and more talented.
@@mrbushwookie6051 personally, I never had the chance to see him live but I've seen countless clips of different eras etc. and read the book "I am Ozzy". When he got sober he was also at an age when singers usually don't improve but rather try to keep their skills intact. I like his albums from the 2000s and wether he was with Sabbath or solo he's always been surrounded by very talented musicians
When Steve-O said "Blu bulu ulub a" I felt that Edit: I was gonna do the "now you'll never know why i got that many likes" thing but i decided im not a a-hole
When I was using I had a psychotic episode on meth where I was in my home, completely alone, but I believed I was in a rehab with other addicts who were talking to me. I'm glad someone else experienced something similar because I always thought it was the fucking craziest thing that I had such a problem it seemed like my subconscious was trying to convince me to get help
Chet Chelios They may have been instrumental in getting him sober eventually but they didn’t prevent him from dying. People smarter and more cautious than Steve-O have died way younger than his current age also. I think the choices for his survival are God, blind luck, or the universe if you want to sit with the cool kids.
If you watch his vid on all the drugs he did he said the only one he was scared of was heroin. He was scared of needles, and because of that he didn’t do heroin. He’d be dead otherwise
He seems to have strong Gene's. He takes being stabbed as not a big deal and he even now he looks strong and fit and healthy and barely shows that he spent years abusing his body. He actually looks more healthy then a lot of people that have never touched a drug nlin their lives and did everything they are sopposed to do to stay healthy
You know Steve-o has come a long way in his sobriety where he seems unrecognizable in old clips of him on drugs. Imagine in 2005, the thought of Steve-o rocking sobriety would have seemed almost comical. what an incredible transformation.
I remember watching this video when it came out, about a month into my sobriety. Over 3 years later and I'm still sober!! Thank you for sharing your story and inspiring so many people to get (or stay) clean.
I’m so happy he’s clean, he aged very well for someone who was addicted to drugs and alcohol and I can’t imagine how horrible it would be if he was still on drugs. He was and still is me and my family’s favourite persons in not only jackass but also the stories he tells are very interesting. He is a very funny guy and if he was still addicted to drugs and alcohol I don’t think he would be the Steve-O we all know and love. ❤️. I’m so happy you’re clean Steve-O 😀
It might be due to the fact that nitrous oxide and ketamine are fairly innocuous substances physically speaking compared to long-lasting amphetamines, considering how they don't really impact energy consumption and metabolism. If meth was his go-to drug, he would look quite different.
Carl-Richard Løberg this is true but honestly guys moderation is the key to drug use it’s how people should use drugs if they use them. And we should support the legalization of drugs so we can minimize and control drug usage. So people get not laced drug and be able to get help when a person needs it.
Chattin on the Road tbh it depends drugs can be controllable if you use them in moderation meaning not using them every day and not using drugs that are evily addictive. Some drugs aren’t as bad as others and some can help actually.
I don't even know if Steve-O could do a UA-cam clickbait video. Since he always show exactly what it says and gives relevant details. But yeah, a clickbait UA-camr would have something like that. "JOHNNY KNOXVILLE STABBED ME IN THE BACK!" then it would be a ten minute build up video that keeps going back to small details, a bunch of ads, and product shilling, friend/patreon shout out then the final pay off was Knoxville poked the person in the back with an umbrella in a crowded elevator. In other words bullshit.
I've been a fan since I was 5 years old, by the time I was 18 years old I legit thought I was Steve-o, doing crazy hold my beer stunts like jumping off of 100ft bridges and breaking my back to show people I was hardcore like Steve-o. I started snorting anything, smoking everything, and no one knew except a handful of people. When I heard that Steve-o had been clean for years at that time and I was going home to my mom after school I cleaned up. So Steve-o has been my inspiration for just about every aspect of my life ❤️
my brother has been an addict for years and years and years and at times i see no hope. he just turned 30. literally every drug he has had binges of. its so hard to watch its like watching someone get beaten. he just destroys his body and there's nothing anyone can do about it. your story always gives me hope when literally all other stories seem arbitrary. to be where you were and where you are now is amazing. Steve-o if you read this please consider teaming up with Dr. Drew. you could help so many people get off drugs. i understand this could take an emotional toll and perhaps trigger you but so many people need help and i truly think you could make a difference. either way i'm proud of you and you just really give me hope that my brother can get off drugs
@ jules thank u for asking, he’s actually doing well now. he’s not perfect and under the care of my parents but he just got a puppy and has been way more self-sufficient than i could’ve imagined back when i wrote this comment. i mention the puppy because with love from that dog and that responsibility, his friends and family my brother stays afloat. life is hard man but i’m just responding to this comment so anyone who sees this has hope. we can do it guys. 4 years flew by in a flash. i can’t believe the Steve-o responded to this btw i mention that to this day and people freak out. so thank u dude if u read this again and i love everyone ❤️
He’s actually the embodiment of do drugs kids you’ll be fine. The dude beat drugs. Better off showing kids meth addicts who once looked good but aged 50 years in the matter of 10.
@@jasongenova4284 Wouldn't say " do drugs you'll be fine" but rather "if you do them, you can be fine". In the sense that there is hope if you feel lost to the addiction.
You’re such a huge inspiration to me Steve O. I recently got a job at the rehab facility that saved my life. Gotta give back! Your story of the Nitrous made me remember the time I got mad at nobody in my bathroom when I saw an arm reach out and take my hat off the shelf. Jumped up to see who it was and there was nobody. Looked out my window and thought it saw people peering inside. There wasn’t anyone there obviously. That shit was wild. Again thank you for being you.
@@derekweinerttv4163 After a few weeks, it becomes normal to not be drunk. Breaking habits are tough, but developing new habits are easy. I live in the gym…I spend a ton of time with my family…and I’m really past thinking about boozing everyday. Life is good.
He inspires me deeply. Currently working on breaking my addiction. Doing really good but am by no means out of the woods yet. Steve o really shows me that people far worse than me have gotten better. I was worried I would never be capable of being happy again. I was using opium every day and not able to function. Now I have a job, girlfriend, going to school... and I no longer wish to die. That's huge for me. Really glad he's so candid about everything. Going to send him a message he'll probably never see rn on ig telling him i appreciate his videos.
As a recovering addict this was a tough one to watch. It reminds me of some of the worst times in my life, and how ugly we can be when things get out of hand. It takes a lot of courage to show these videos, and be fully honest about the lowest times.
So glad to see you sober man. I got 4 years off heroin and I’m working at my hospital emergency room as a peer recovery specialist helping other addicts recover
Congratulations 🎉👏 I passed 3 years back in September. Keep up the great work and I'm happy that you decided to use your experience to help others. I hope to do the same some day. ❤
Christy Eaton that’s awesome he’ll yeah keep it up!! You deff can it’s a new program here in Maryland and all over the USA. No experience needed and starts at 17 a hour it’s amazing
@@DJSLANKMAN how can I get started ? I'm in Maryland too, near Middle River. I drive full time right now as a Lyft driver and I also do delivery. This isn't something I want to do forever. I'd even be happy to do something like you're doing part time. I want to help others through what I've been through and experienced through the years. I was a bad IV addict for many years but have managed to stay away from dope almost 4 years without any relapses. I managed to completely change my life around. I know if I can do it anyone can, and I'd love to be the one who helps see them through it.
Christy Eaton oh nice! Look online for peer recovery specialist at your local hospital like so many jobs just opened up for it here in southern Maryland! A lot rehabs are looking for them too I just typed in peer recovery coach and was blessed find my ed was hiring!
Christy Eaton it’s really amazing though I work with all the nurses and doctors closely in the er. I just started last week actually our hospital launched it brand new me and 3 other recovering addicts got the job. Where else can you go where being a addict is a job requirement and to be able just talk to people and make a relationship on a peer level not clinical so they are more trusting. Got a guy into rehab earlier this morning on my shift
The funny thing about drug addicts is, every single one of them have the potentiality of becoming as drug crazed as Steve-O. The ONLY barrier is money, I've personally met a hundred of drug addicts just like him. . the only thing I can say to the people who many not have any experience with drugs or the people who do them.. is that if Steve fucking O can get sober and stay sober.. there is fuckin hope for every single addict out there.
While Steve-O was one of the biggest drug addicts that most people had ever seen, he also had a very strong and unique ability to full on commit and do things most people couldn’t. I think most don’t fully realize the danger and absurdity of his stuff on jackass/wild boyz etc. You couldn’t pay me to do a fraction of the stunts that he did throughout his career. I think he developed a very strong will and ability to commit to life threatening stunts during those years, that same will and commitment ironically enough ended up saving his life.
No doubt - I'm a recovering opiate addict, got off them in 2018, but the biggest thing that actually pushed me to stop when I did was that it was financially destroying me. It came to the point where it was teetering on the edge of, stop this now, or truly fuck up your life. Luckily had good friends, great parents, and a well-established job where they gave me a lot of tolerance. If I had had deeper pockets at the time I might still be railing percs to this day, who knows
There should be an entire discography of every single second of footage of his life. Raw, non produced, home footage. From humble beginnings skateboarding, jackass, wildboys, his dark days, his come back to the day he retires.
Dude I know this is going to be buried under a lot of comments but thank you so much for this from the bottom of my heart, my family just held an intervention for my sister that didn't go well and I've been super upset thinking that we've lost her but you've shown that eventually people can come around and live awesome fulfilling lives.
it’s such an amazing thing to own up to the horrible things you’ve done in the past and look back and feel guilt and regret. that means you have a heart, once you become your better self nothing you’ve done in the past can define who you are NOW.
@gomer 1993 I agree. But in my experience, myself and many in my life, booze and drugs can really bring out the scariest, worst aspects of ourselves. It took me a long time to figure out not to get close to people around whom mutual manifestation of those more destructive tendencies was taking me down instead of ahead. I hope everyone with whom I ever "partied" ended up OK, but those times are behind us, thankfully. I hope that makes sense.
@@nykolazjoya are you sure? Typically addicts aren't very happy people on the inside. They may appear happy but are actually using drugs or alcohol to escape their misery.
@@shipfusarelaifu I mean there's happy and then there's happy. Are you happy when you're really fucked up on your drug of choice? Probably, yes. But is it the same kind of happiness that you feel when you've accomplished something great, found a partner that you love or just in general enjoy your life to the fullest? Hell no. It's a really intense, but short term happiness that comes at the cost of feeling really shitty afterwards. And it's so much easier to come by.
Just discovered steve-o and he seems like such a legit and honest guy, with an insanely crazy life. I hadn't seen him properly on drugs until the bits in this video and it is fucking horrible to see just how awful of a situatuation he seemed to be in, no way was he enjoying it whatsoever.
Extremely talented, extremely funny and were both fucked up on drugs for a long time and as soon as they sober, they got funnier and more talented.
he's obviously an Ozzy fan, you can see the same Ozzy picture hanging in different rooms of his house
Ozzy is not more talented now
@@mrbushwookie6051 personally, I never had the chance to see him live but I've seen countless clips of different eras etc. and read the book "I am Ozzy". When he got sober he was also at an age when singers usually don't improve but rather try to keep their skills intact. I like his albums from the 2000s and wether he was with Sabbath or solo he's always been surrounded by very talented musicians

@@glenjamindle I definitely need to give this a read I was clueless, Netflix, change of plans, Movie based off book instead of documentary.

Yea yea dudes!! Like motley crue... A lot of stuff from theyr movie was based off of the books they wrote!!.. That would be pretty bad ass!!
theres already a documentary about his life
When I was using I had a psychotic episode on meth where I was in my home, completely alone, but I believed I was in a rehab with other addicts who were talking to me. I'm glad someone else experienced something similar because I always thought it was the fucking craziest thing that I had such a problem it seemed like my subconscious was trying to convince me to get help
A famous drag queen, Katya, also had a psychotic episode from relapsing on meth, and she’s been sober for years now
I honestly don’t know how he didn’t die but I’m glad he didn’t
Knoxville played a big part as well as the other jackass crew
So you haven't seen anything at all about Steve-o for years? I highly doubt that, he's more popular now than ever.
I thought it said "my failed inventions" so I'm like "damn Steve invented stuff?"

"Drugs and alcohol"
Carl-Richard Løberg this is true but honestly guys moderation is the key to drug use it’s how people should use drugs if they use them. And we should support the legalization of drugs so we can minimize and control drug usage. So people get not laced drug and be able to get help when a person needs it.
If he was still doing what he was I doubt we'd even have him around.. God bless him!
