Here's my new daily driver and a V12 engine update! • I Sold My Performance ...
I love AMG and had to save a very neglected yet ultra-rare Mercedes E55 AMG wagon. Only 193 of these super wagons were imported to the U.S and this one was driven into the ground and has 232,000 miles. In this video, you'll watch a complete 5-week transformation from fixing rust holes to paintwork, mechanical repairs, transmission issues, paint correcting, and much more. Sit back, grab a pop and enjoy the show!

What car should I save next?
First!
I’d love to see an Alpina
An E60 550i would be pretty cool.
90’s Camry
Slk amg lol
The only youtuber who makes a 40 minute video feel like a 15 minute watch, wasn’t a mercedes fan until you started showing them off too
Thanks Tyler!
Agreed!
@@LegitStreetCars Yes. Love the Mercedes content. The Fiero, not so much.
Check out M539 Restorations. He also makes the same type of videos but just for BMW's.
M539 Restorations too by the way
Alex, this was like a movie. Fantastic job!
Thanks brother! You are one of the few that actually got to see this thing in person. Rich "It's pretty disgusting Alex, but it's all there." Me "Good enough, buy it!"
Seriously one of a few creators that can make a 40 minute video and people will watch the whole thing.
There you are SAMCRAP you do not need your UGLY stepmom crap to work on cars!!!!!!!
Rich and Alex and rusty let’s get together and film!
Wait, Rich gives compliments? Lol
what a transformation!
I guess this is what it feels like to be knighted. 😬
AMOGUS IMPOSTER?!?!?!?????!?
Cool seeing you on here I'm subscribed to your channel too
Bro you people do it in one episode. Look at you.
It's really great to see a regular guy who knows what he is doing and a rare cool car saved from the junkyard or crusher. The video editing/music is great too!!
One of the most underrated automotive UA-cam channels next to Speed Academy
Then we get the e55 wagon to take on the m5 wagon
Oh that would be unreal.
Dang im a Kevin C too.

Damn, that self closing boot is the fastest and most aggressive I've seen
Lol :D :D, I think something is wrong. I have w211 wagon and it goes much slower but still not as a grandpa
The ones in the R-class is slow for the trunk
yeah holy fuck might snap some fingers no?
@@henrik1743 shit it will probably kill a kid riding in one of those boot seats.. :D
@@serran0669 ah, a fellow swede!
The amount of knowledge alex has is just crazy. I got into his videos because of the e55 sedan and haven’t stopped watching. Keep it up alex.✌🏼
Thanks Leonard, appreciate the support.
We sometimes watch a video 5min long and say, "I'll never get that time back" I have to be honest all 41min were worth it! Great video Alex!
What a GREAT watch. The pacing is on point and I LOVE AMG wagons!
-Sean
Thanks Sean!
Sean likes the pace on lots of videos apparently
As a Benz technician, I am in love with any AMG wagon. You rock.
Your E55 was simply MAGNIFICENT.
Wagon is the type of car that should never go out of line.
Unfortunately SUVs are dominating.
Holy shit, I thought this was only a 15 min video. Can’t believe 40 min went by so quickly!
Comment section “Why didn’t you paint the whole car?”
Alex “because you aren’t paying for it” 😆
Edited my comment and lost the heart👎🏻what’s up with that UA-cam
@@johnlincoln4616 That always happens, it is in case you get a heart and you edit it with something weird 😅
@@johnlincoln4616 precaution to make sure the comment isn't changed to something that the creator wouldn't want to heart.
He's right - there's no need to re-paint the whole car if you know you can save it.
@@johnlincoln4616 stop 🛑 he is good
I wish wagons got this much appreciation outside of the enthusiast community. Favorite body style ever.
The perfect solution for needing space as well, most buy just suvs for trunk space when all they need is a wagon which drives much better and isn't unnecessarily heavy.
Jeez that power lift gate closed hard af 😎
Alex, your channels has stayed the most consistent of any UA-camr I know. Stellar content! I’ve been blessed to meet you in person. The old saying “don’t meet your heros” DOES NOT apply to you, you’re just as pleasant in person as in your videos:)
That looks great. Gotta get an E55 one day when I have a larger garage. Maybe a wrecked SLS next? 😀
HEY RICH AND SAMCRAC......Young Grasshopper has become the master and actually finishes a project and is gonna be at 500K subs in a week.....meanwhile Sam is chasing roosters and stepmom and Rich is collecting Olive Garden frequent diner points....hahahaha. Well done LSC! You need a hydro puller. Best thing I bought for rusted in axles etc. People can’t appreciate the difficulty you had to overcome.
Agreed.
That’s the truth
I have to agree. LSC (as well as a handful of other Automotive channels not to be named here) have become my go-to channels for quality, entertaining, and informative videos with none of the stupid pranks and cringe-inducing sidebars with adult video stars.
@@GrandMoffJoseph Another channel I like is truck master.
Bravo Alex. 1st What a car to renovate and restore. 2nd Your enthusiasm and list of tasks 3rd You do a large amount of the work yourself Should you end up giving it away, the new owner will be one mega-luuuuucky person. Best wishes with your future endeavours.
I know all about lengthy video editing sessions. While I enjoy it, it can be a time sink.
Looking forward to seeing your new shop!
This was actually pretty impressive, 232k miles and looks brand new. Love your content, those wheels are dope!
These restoration videos are so satisfying
Love the car!!!!! I've always wanted one! Talk about give aways! I'm headed up to New Jersey due to a military PCS. We are a family of 5 and we would sure show that car a lot of love! Thanks for the content. I always love watching your videos.
What a beautiful car. Mercedes design is so timeless and they always have certain "grace" that other German rivals can't quite capture. It's the power of the Star. Cheers from Finland, enjoyed the video and keep up the good work man!
If there's anything I've learned from you and Car Ninja's channel, it's that paint protection film is worth every penny.
Damn... the guy that fixed the rust is amazing - Jedi amazing. What a great job all round.
Boy Mancusio's (sp) usually has some really cool stuff always in the background. Wagoneer, Scout, Ramcharger. Really neat stuff to see
I wish all mechanics were as knowledgeable and as honest like you. Great work and love your videos! I really love the educational stuff and tips you provide.
I like how you show it’s possible to complete a car in 1 video. Other UA-camrs? Not so much. Excellent work!
I have always loved these wagons more than any others, so watching it evolve in your hands is very gratifying.
I’ve been dying to get a w211! I have an ml350 but the w211 facelift e class has always been my dream car. It’s good to see such beautiful cars being driven daily and taken care of. You have done some amazing community service in the automotive world by bringing that car back to its former glory
I had two Manhattans and some food. I cried at the end. What a great movie. Thanks!
It’s so nice to see cars actually being fixed and saved. I won’t name names, but there’s a bunch of non-content out there that leaves me wanting “better,” and your channel never lets me down.
*cough* Samcrac *cough*
@@SupernaturalFTW94 he’s one, but I am proud of Sam for the progress on his Aston Martin.
Great job on the wagon! I'd love to see you pick up an older Porsche, maybe one of the forgotten ones like a 914 or 924. They can be a lot of fun!
From one wagon owner to another, thank you for your service! #savethewagons
Alex I think your channel has just reached a whole new level of awesomeness. Well done mate.
It's Saturday , LSC uploaded a 41 minute video. Oh boy , I'm happy!
Great restoration Alex!
Sweet video ! You brought that amg back from the wreckers
Algorithm just recommended this and what a pleasure to see this high mileage E55 wagon restore. You’re a natural in the camera and knowledgeable with the cars. Sub’d
Alex, you are the reason I got a job at Mercedes and started working on cars. I've ben watching your videos since you started on UA-cam. I'm on my 6th build at the time :) keep on going brother, much love from Berlin Germany ✌️✌️
Alex, the content keeps getting better and better. I can tell how hard you work to make this happen and as a fellow amg owner, I think it is fantastic. Your attention to detail is inspiring and that includes not only the work you’re doing on the car but also the editing of the video. My hats off to you!
PPF Removal: Use a coffee maker and get hot water and it comes off WAY easier
Cool! I'll try that in the future!
@@LegitStreetCars Ammo NYC used it. Works wonders!
@@mathewfullerton8577 I saw that, it was brilliant. Worked FAR better than the heat gun
Problem with the heat guns I've found is that they get the plastic/vinyl too hot which is what causes them to tear like that. Destickering/dewrapping I've always done with hot water.
Took like 5 hours to get PPF off of a Lexus with a steamer. I really wish I had just thought to skip the steamer and use hot water. Not making that mistake again
Great video as always! Really enjoyed seeing the complete transformation in just a single amd well edited video showing what matters, especially a good look at the finished wagon!
TYVM 4 all your efforts! Amazing work, editing, transitions! Love the start to finish effectives!
Also, would love to see a “mild tune” on this one!
Love the way you do stuff!
Really LOVED this episode and the transformation on that wagon was incredible!
when he said grab yourself a cold soda i was like im watching this to forget that im fasting and you say cold soda my guy just destroyed my mood with 2 words :)
Watch it after iftaar 😂
luckily i watch this during night 😂
Thanks so much Alex. I love your videos. I have been researching getting my own E55 AMG, and you are giving me a great deal of motivation to get one and do my own repairs👍🏽
Always amazed by the quality of the execution, the passion and the humility. Great work!
Im in the UK and I wish I could bring my E55 to you and you turn it around!
Honestly Alex, your channel is nothing but inspirational. Thank you :)
Wow and just wow amazing execution on all the repairs. Not usually watch long videos, but this was a pleasure to watch all the way 🔥
I have no words how much I love the W211, for me the most beautiful car in the world.
I can tell you put a ton of time on this build , looks great and turned out excellent . Time to sell it and take the cash into the next project. 👍🇨🇦
Wow! What a restoration! Great job!!
Love it! E55 AMG Wagon is one of my "keep forever" car choices (dad likes a big V8 noise, but there are three kids). And you did such a great job showing how they can be brought back from ratty condition without burning a ton of cash.
Killed the restoration dude, nice job!
Enjoyed every moment of this build, epic work Alex and yes you were born for these machines to save them.
Thumbs up
Yooo I'm almost in tears watching Alex bring this beauty back to life! For real got me inspired over here!!
What a fantastic transformation Alex.
Really enjoyed following the updates on this Merc.
I wouldn’t mind having this as my first Amg and performance car aha
Couldn't believe that I watched the whole thing without blinking an eye and without realizing that it was a 41-minute video! Time just flew by .. and I don't even like wagons. Awesome video. Well done!
I've never liked those Mercedes models but this... this is astonishing!!! Beautiful car beautiful work!!! Congrats!
In the south, any "soda" is a Coke. No matter the brand or flavor.
Born in NOLA, grew up in TX. Can confirm.
Me, ordering at any restaurant, regardless of star-rating: I'd like a coke.
Staffer: ok. What would you like?
Me: Mountain Dew
Staffer: Got it!
Soda is a sweet carbonated drink, a pop is the same thing.
Pop term is for bottled soda, from the sound of removing the metal top from the glass bottle, "pop". As apposed to Fountain drinks which were same sweet flavored drinks that were dispensed from a keg as beer was. Pop is used in the northern states, soda is the southern states.
Coke was more popular and known, so Coke came to mean soda to many folks.
As a " Kleenex" is a tissue .
As a locking pliers is called a "vice-grip".
@@GrandMoffJoseph Pretty much the same. Don't do that at restaurants, but definitely do it when at friends' and relatives' houses.
Watched the whole thing. Love it.
Thanks brother! Appreciate that
These are the videos I really enjoy.
I’m looking forward to a similar video with the V12 repairs and other fault rectification. 👍🏻
You are so passionate and it really shows in your content. It is refreshing that you really work on your cars! Well done sir!
This video made me want to give a try at dealing with the terrible paintwork on my car and realizing that I am terrible at anything like that and my car just needs a respray
I love me some wagon!
I love the W211 wagons and really like the channel content. This inspires me to get an E63 or E55 wagon after I finish a few more projects.
loved this !! so much satisfaction !! i can relate so much about saving those special cars !!
keep up the good content and the wanderful work !
"Why spend a ton of money on micro fiber cloths when you can use your shirt sleeve for FREE!!"
Yes it’s pop! 😉
Really enjoyed all of the steps to this project. Came out awesome!
I don't usually watch any video that exceed 20 minutes
But this was a LEGIT eye catching AMG wagon ♥
I really love wagons, and i really liked the jump seats
Fantastic transformation Alex! I could watch this forever!
loving the reverse car washing and two-person timelapses! both great ideas! keep growing
Absolute quality content Alex, keep this up! Cheers from Poland
Man, this is my kind of videos! Start to finish on a gem of a AMG! Thanks Alex!
Great video Alex!! Seeing her back to her former glory reminds me of when I used to work at Mercedes-Benz and seeing these on the showroom floor. 🤩😍
i just saw this car has the jump seats in the way back!!! I used to ride in one in my dads oldsmobile and later in an old volvo. Imagine doing accelerating G tests for kiddos back there!!!! This thing is a gem!
Love all your content Alex!!! Recently bought a cdi and I'm obsessed with your wagon, always loved wagons and the e55 wagon is such an awesome sleeper, keep making great content man👍👍
Alex. You are the one youtuber I keep watching. You have mechanical, Body work and detailing, all in one place. And you work on sick cars. Your channel is going places man! Keep giving us awesome content. Love it. From the South African in New Zealand
i have to say this probably your best video to date. everything in 1 full episode. and the car came out great. this is definitely a great budget build video.
Great job, Alex! The wagon looks amazing now!
Also, did anyone else peep that nice Bronco near the end of the video?
the fact that i have watched 40 mins of this video just shows how you content s great.....from Kenya btw ;)
i love watching these resto videos.
It must be so satisfying to do!
What a difference
Great video, Alex! Love wagons and especially LOVE Mercedes wagons (I have a 94 E320 I am trying to restore - not to this level though). And man, the guys at Mancuso do amazing work - mad props to the body and paint guys. The car looks amazing!
What a totally unique car . It's beautiful. I love wagons. You can tell you love what you do, it's great.
I spend a lot of time on my 150k mile CL55 AMG and have always wanted an E55 wagon. Your videos are so educational. You do very nice work my friend!
Excellent. A real pleasure to watch this transformation. Thanks!
You ROCK, I am always enthralled watching your videos. My mom's 2004 S55AMG gave me fits in tiny west Texas town of Ballinger, I see these videos and drop my head... KEEP IT UP Alex! 🤗
Awesome video of what is needed ... the refub of a great vehicle, looking great, and ready to add another 100K miles to the odometer. It's not "vintage" per se, but you are still keeping it out of the landfill and a premature death.
I know you might still be waiting on parts, but look forward to a CL65 update soon. We love watching you perform magic with these things.
Wow Alex! What a complete transformation. You have excelled yourself with this one.
i watched this 41min video without knowing it's that long till i saw someone mentioning it in the comments!!!!!
Amazing how great videos slide through time smoothly
So satisfying to see this come back to life. Thanks for sharing, Alex!! Can't wait to hear about the giveaway!
I swear those are my favorite wagons/cars. One day I will jump and buy one. Always been scared of maintenance but watching all your vids all those things are easy
Your job is precious! What a great restoration outcome. My favorite Mercedes Models are the wagons (no matter what production year) and the eternal classic Pagoda 280 SL. Once more congrats on your love for recuperating these jewels wagons! 👏👏👏👐👐👊🚗💙
I kept waiting for update videos on this car and then you blow my mind with it all in one. Great job man.
My dad used to drive me and my 3 siblings in a 78 Impala wagon and I loved sitting in the 3rd rear facing row on road trips. I'd love to find one of these AMG's in good shape to road trip with my children!
