Awesome video Ian!
Just want to clarify for DJI FPV users, we've had quite a few people testing this in the past day and haven't had any success atleast on the latest firmwares.
Obviously this is an evolving situation, but from our limited reserch and testing it doesn't appear to be working with anything above fw version 01.02.0015, the same as our B3YOND unlock!
If you do have success with a newer firmware, please email us, it'll help us get a better idea of what is and isn't working!
Could this also be possible with the DJI Rc in the future? I would pay for it!
I thought. 0015 was the latest? Do you mean it doesn't work with this firmware and later?
@@FPV-TV419 I think D3VLis referring to the recent update that added AVATA functionality for the V2 goggles. I am reading it as you will be fine if you are on 0015. Could be wrong though.
@@waynegoldpig2220 I have the latest firmware on v2 goggles, avata and dji fpv. I'm running drone tweaks fcc on the dji fpv running .0015, and did a test this morning... its definitely still in fcc mode.
So I'm running drone tweaks for the fpv, and b3yond for avata. Using the same set of v2 goggles. Now it could be that the b3yond hack has taken over and is working with the dji fpv.... but I'm doubtful of that. I'd suspect the drone tweaks hack is active on the dji fpv.
@@FPV-TV419 I’m running drone-hacks on the FPV which sits on the drone not the googles. I’m on 0015 in the goggles, and 01.02.0000 on the drone. I’m wondering if this ham.cfg file does something to the goggles that the drone-hacks thing doesn’t? I’m on holiday at the moment so can’t try it.
Just a couple of pointers for other newbies like me: 1) format the micro sd card IN THE GOGGLES! take them out, put them in your computer and then put the ham_cfg_support file on it. 2) after applying the hack, go to transmission in the menu and put it on manual, make sure you try CH2 and CH3 to see which one works best 3) ARM THE MOTORS of the avata! When they are not armed, the avata goes into some sort of power saving mode and you will not get maximum range. Once the motors have armed I went from 7mbps to 50 mbps in a matter of seconds! Good luck flying everybody and thank you for the hack!
Thanks i leave my Avata in Auto on the transmission settings. and mine does go from 7 in low state up to 50 when motors are running.
Thank you for this. It wasn't working for me until I formatted the card IN the goggles!
fantastic! It works!! Didn't work until i formatted the card while IN the goggles! Thanks so much!
It works if you format it on the computer as well. I kept mine on Auto transmission, do I need to be on manual?
@@Loqu4 It didn't work for me formatting it on the computer (even as FAT32). Maybe because I'm a Mac user.
works on Explorer combo : Avata+Integra+Motion 2. Thanks a lot !
Does it still works? :)
I have the same set up and curious if it still works
@@plumage_again I have the same set up could you check if it still works?
Just did it, it worked, the only thing format the card on the goggles first before putting this fcc hack on
Just want to say thanks for this. New Avata owner here and I was bitterly disappointed with the range. Followed the instructions in your video and I've gone from 400 metre of range in an urban area over industrial steelworks, which is just about as un-ideal as you can get , to 1.3k out there. And even at 1.3k I was good on signal but getting worried about battery level on the way back fighting a headwind. Gonna try it again when the wind drops as I'm interested to know how far I can go now lol
when you download it to the goggles, should you set the frequency manual, or auto frequency work as will?, i can see the 5.8ghz with 4 channels,
so I don't know am I getting pranked and should I look for hidden cameras but I had DJI FPV Combo - did everything like on the video - had it "unlocked" and it all worked in theory but in reality I still had 300m range.
I crashed recently I bought entire combo again because it was on sale 50£ more expensive than just the drone and - SAME THING.
also after inserting the sd card with a file I see FOUR channels on 5.8/40mhz - not THREE.
so it works on everyones DJI FPV drone but not mine no matter how many I will buy yeah? Nice one.
What is this?? Im in the perfect area have no restrictions and no errors. This company is pathetic.
@@CrimesceneRust Set in manual mode. Avata show 3 channels, on FPV you have 4 Channels.
For me the best information is that is working with dji fpv and newest soft version. Thx for checking this out.
Worked like a charm. Clear flight distance is many times greater now.
Do u switch it to auto after the fcc hack or chose 1 chanel?
@@joaocabral802 Saw Mad respond that you can just leave it in Auto
I love how nobody response to this question no matter here or on other channels :D
I've just tested it and the B3YOND hack works, it appears to have given me roughly three times the distance I was getting previously. I would normally completely lose transmission while flying around a particularly dense building but not any more.
You leave the settings on Auto ? Or pick a signal yourself ? Thx
I can confirm this works on v2 goggle with latest fw as shown on the discord channel video when i posted this mod yesterday ✌️
sorry to ask, do I need to update the firmware on big-older v2 googles to the current one or keep it on same I use naco hack with air unit/vistas? Thinking about buying the Avata but do not want to brick the range on 5inch cruiser air unit
Yes its works but doesnt affect to dji fpv drones
Even US people benefit from this. The regular "FCC" mode does not include the ham channels this time around.
Had my first flight with the Avata today, did notice signal drop out going around trees 1000ft away. So I just did the hack and now have 3 channels NICE ONE. Looking forward to my next flight with a bit better range.
Did it work?
Yes it’s still working.
@@droneinsurgent thank you!
I gave this a go after watching your video. When I go on to Settings, manual, and when in 5.8 GHZ I now have 4 channels, 🤷♂️ haven’t got a chance to fly it yet. But will be interesting to see what it does. Should of checked how many channels I have before I tried it really 🤦♂️
Hey, I'd really appreciate a reply! Did this work for you, or did you figure it out another way? Thanks a lot!
one interesting side note as I just activated mine in the US, but not with the fly app. I used the consumer drones desktop app that is listed to be compatible with the Avata. Updated firmware right after activation and it only showed one channel available afterwards. Did this hack on the latest firmware versions available via that desktop app and getting all 3 channels now!
Omg im so happy it works!!!. Was about to return my avata cos range realy bad. Glad i found your Channel. Subd
Hey guys I have a problem, I updated the firmware and the FCC is not working. I cannot choose the channels. Aircraft firmware
01.03.00.00
Goggles firmware
01.06.00.00
Fly safe database
01.00.01.29
Amazing difference in performance on video feed! Thank you for sharing!
i found it works perfect on my Avata, what drone are you using it on.
Yep! Needed this hack. Going to be more fun flying DJI Avata now.
Bought the damn fcc app after watching another video about this. Got the app logged in, all working, connected the avata to my phone.... nothing! Yea, watched this video, realised that i'm an idiot. See the 3 channels. Asked the other company for a refund! lol!
Thanks :)
Worked like a charm BUT note you will need to create your own file now as the Quadmula page is down.
Friday 24th February 2023. Just updated the Googles V2, FPV and Avata. Formatted in goggles. I now have 4 channels (it defaults to Channel 3) and access to 5.8ghz.
This sound right? Shall I place it in auto please?
Do I need 5.8?
As usual in the North East of England we've got rain and wind FFS.
Found you by accident. Liked and Subscribed.
Cool! Thanks for the info! Can’t wait to enjoy the Avata with full fcc mode on.
Hi Ian, love your content, you make everything very clear and so simple to those who have limited technical knowledge. I take it the FCC hack doesnt affect the GPS lock or RTH functionality? Thanks Davie.
@@Marcus2750-u1t Never asked you!!!!

It's an Air Unit O3 near the dji controller at the begining of the video ?
It does look like it
lol
O yes it is!!!!
Avata + Integra + MC 2 is working! Thank you!
May I what u firmware for Goggle and avata?
HI,
Its worked for me only after formatted the sd card in the Goggles. now i have 3 ch at 40h and 7 CH at 10+20hz.
thanks !
You need to lay off the coffee! Anyways sent you some just in case you're running out. Thanks for the vid, worked perfect!
my channel mode is darkgrey and i can not change anything :/ bought avata few weeks ago and updated it right away.
the good part is that you can turn off and on and hack stays there. Wonderful
So just to confirm once the cfg files is placed on an SD card and more channels are available (higher power unlocked when the O3 or Avata is armed/flying) can you just leave it in auto for channel selection? DO you still get the same benefits rather than having to txt which channels are best manually? Keep up the great work!
Did you solve the problem?
@flywithme3578 this was a question, I didn't have a problem.
My experience Drone FPV FW 01.02.0000 Goggles V2 FW 01.03.00.00 after inserting the card increased Channels to 4 in 5.8GHz but no signal improvement
This is what i needed to see. Probably gonna buy the new air unit instantly now when it comes out...
Probably? Are you a mad lad?! GO GET THAT SHIT NOW BOY
Just wanted add I had firmware 1.03 on the DJI FPV Drone with 1Ch was available in manual transmission before the hack. After the hack was applied I had all 4 Channels. I did format the card on the drone before copying the file over. Time to send it far. Thanks !!
Did you notice an increase in range, or are you still in 25mW?
@@rudiphoto definatley more range
@@shadowcrewfpv6069 good to hear!
I have the Dji FPV 1.04 Firmware and this Gives me 8 Channels on 5.8ghz and 3 channels at 2.4ghz (10mhz). Definately gives a lot more distance. But I think i Need to redo it, when it was working well my goggles battery when down alot quicker. now it seems not too. so perhaps i need to format the card in the goggles, as explained above, and then put the file on. Put the ham_support_cfg file definately worked
finally worked for me. Formatted using PC, DINT WORK. Then I noticed that in goggle initial screen "format suggest" in RED. So tried to format using the goggles UI. and copied the file, and it worked. Am in goggle firmware of 1.04
Huge improvement in the video feed, but i notice no difference in range.
yes, it works also for GOOGLES v2!
now the question is - can they activate 2.4GHz? it would increase the range yet again substantially.
the hardware surely is capable of it, any modem chip nowadays supports both. its most likely a limit due to lower latency.
so I don't know am I getting pranked and should I look for hidden cameras but I had DJI FPV Combo - did everything like on the video - had it "unlocked" and it all worked in theory but in reality I still had 300m range.
I crashed recently I bought entire combo again because it was on sale 50£ more expensive than just the drone and - SAME THING.

Saw this on the Grey Arrows, great stuff!
Brilliant! Thanks, Ian! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
hi perfect video content thanks ive done the fcc mod but could you please tell me when you choose manual and get the 3 all is good but do you leave it in manual or do you put it back to automatic thanks again your vids are great
Did you solve the problem?
Hello and thank you for this video! I am using the Goggles V2 and a DJI O3 and into the latest firmware on both, your way worked!!!! May I ask something, I do see 3 channels. Shall we keep it on auto and not manual? Does it matter witch channel uses the maximum output or doesnt matter? Thanks!!!
Any update regarding your question? Are you using selected channel or just leave it in auto?
@@LuckyPratama71 Hey! I keep on auto and everything works Great!
@@illuminatorix thank you bro
Okay now i only would Update my avata if dji would offer gyro data with ultrawide and/or 4:3 thanks.😁👍
When I try to change from auto to manual it won't allow me? It's like a transparent text that I cant click on. Has DJI fixed the hack?
Whats the best version to update the dji goggles 2 to? I want to allow fcc mode and read that newest version locks the goggles.
Does this hack work with the “old” DJI Googles V2 (for DJI FPV Racer / Avata) and the new DJI Googles 2 (just only for Avata) the same way? Thanks
Thank you very much! Excellent information. My question is whether after using the file, the channel mode should be set to manual or automatic?
I think the same, did you find an answer? Should I leave it on manual or auto?
im also curious@@R1d3rBul
This mod seems to work well! I am in NA and tested without the file and it seems that the drone does not go in FCC mode... might be a firmware issue. As soon as I added the file, I could see the extra channels.
Thanks pal! I definitely see 4 channels so do I just leave it in manual mode and it will choose the best channel or do I physically set a channel?
same things i have 4 channel not 3. somebode can help which channel need to use
Hi there. Thanks for the info. It worked. I'm new to fpv world. Could you please tell me that do I have to select a particular channel in order to get better signals?
So I recently bought my DJI fpv and had no choice when first turning on to get 01.04.00 if I put in manual transmission showed 2 channels in 5.8ghz and 1 in 2.4ghz now showing 4 channels in 5.8ghz and still 1 in 2.4ghz fingers crossed it improves range as I could only go around 3-400meters before it lost signal and did RTH
Hi There, It worked for me on the Avata, I have to redo the FPV Drone and hopes this works as well..
Thanks for the tip here! should i put it back to auto or leave it manuel?
Thanks
whats the negative side?
I am in the US and also activated it here but still see one channel :( But have no range issues. Should I stay that way. Don't really want a crazy strong signal around my head from the googles !
thanks a lot !
I can now see the 3 channels
Excited to test tomorrow
How is it?
@@dronessential it was great, but the drone fall deep into a swimming pool. dead ...
Once done do you leave it in manual on channel 1,2 or 3 or do you switch it back to auto? Thanks
Did you found answer?
@@froechiii Leave it on 40mHz and use Chan 2
Awesome!!! Thank you! ♥ Works for my DJI FPV Racer with goggles 1
Tested this hack and it does work. My question is can i still update via dji go and can the goggles sd card be formated.
As a licensed amateur radio (HAM) operator, this intrigues me. I wonder what other options are possible and may exist in 'HAM' mode?
Just a word of caution. If you are in the UK a ham license will NOT keep you out of trouble on the very slim chance of getting rumbledrunning the higher power. Our licenses do state that we are not permitted to install any transmitting equipment on any airborne platform, including model aircraft and drones. We can only do this under the regulations governing license exempt low power devices. The US FCC ham license schedule is different and does permit amateurs to run higher power on model planes, drones, and general aviation.
When I performed within my dji fpv, it appeared 4 channels on 40MHz. Anyone knows if this is a difference from the avata to the dji? is there a way to check if it is really streaming fcc?
what goggles do you use? the v2?
Great video! Thank you! I just wonder if this will work with my DJI Integra goggles 🤔
New to dji and live in the USA. Would this have any effect here or is it for others outside of the USA?
Please finally say or show how it looks like the inside🥳🥳🥳🥳
when you actually fly, do you use 'auto' or 'manual' in transmission mode?
So? Auto or manual?
Do I have to choose like Channel 2 to definetely be in FCC? I mean is it set like CE is Channel 1, FCC is Channel two, etc.? What are three Channels for then? Or is it automatically in FCC once you have done this hack, no matter what channel you use?
I'm still wondering the same. Did you find an answer?
Ya hodja, my avatar doesn't go out of the range of 50 meters. No matter what I did, even I installed FCC hack, no. I wonder why?
Please! once hack is done, do leave it at auto or manual?
Great info video.. so this Hack is just for a FCC Hack not a Geo-Zone removal hack as well..?
Great info, Ian! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you finally this works :)
How do we do it if we have a DJI fpv and an avata ? Which files do we need ?
Thanks for the info Ian. I now have three channels but which one should you choose to be in?
I have this hack already for a couple of days and noticed, that I somehow need to choose channel 1/2/3 manually to get the 50 Mbps transmission rate correctly. Sometimes I only get around 5-6 Mbps and it will stay like that, even if I am directly next to the Avata. And it is not always the same channel, I need to check each time. (Please also notice, that the transmission rate/power will be lowered, when the Avata is in "power saving mode". For proper testing the motors should be turned on to avoid power saving mode)
Does this also allow the 1200mv hack to be done for the fpv drone?
funciona a la perfeccion, muchas gracias amigo, te mando un abrazo desde Mexico.
Just done this on my DJI PFV and it shows 4 channels, is this normal? I didn't check what it was showing before the mod though so unsure if anything has changed. Is there another way to check to the power output?
Hello drone purchased in January 2023 IN ITALY with update 01.02.0015 the text file is not supported, there is by chance a new ilnk for unlocking in FCC
Excelent, thanks much, I will make a video on it and will put your video as reference
so I have the DJI FPV with V2 Goggles and latest firmware installed today.. I can see the additional channels so the hack does change things but I dont have the spectrometre to check the actual signal strength as well as I havent yet tested it in the field which would require me to reset the device and check the same fly path in two modes
This is gold! Thank you very much for sharing!! 👍👍
it works!!!! the range is better
Thanks for sharing this. Just subscribed.
Dji Guarantee and Dji Care are still valid after switching to FCC?
Good question.Did you find any answers?
hello. In Avata it worked. perfect.
Does the smart controller with the Air 2s also work? or is there any other?
great for all who got the new avata
Is it possible or needed to apply the B3yond hack ? Or is the power output on this one similar ? Also, THE BIG QUESTION. I want to remove the altutide max hight, can I combine the hack from DH as well ??? Thanks a lot
Yes it worked for me on the avata and v2 goggles thank Christ.but why do I have to keep rebinding avata drone and djifpv with goggles every time I switch drone around. Is there any videos on that?
This is a great help, I got the Goggles 2 and O3 hvnt turn on yet, do I first do the ham unlock b4 updating the fw or I can do it in the later stage, TQ
No it’s fine do the ham once all the updates are complete.
Can I still be in auto mode after is done
I’ve done it to my fpv and it’s working
Next avata when come end of this week
Thx
Good stuff, gives hope for the AU2 also.
Hi also to check if it works on the v2 goggles and Fpv drone you have to check how many channels are there?
The reset I think only shows more channels but still runs in CE Mode. Maybe a DJI bug? Strange question but can I modify the code to force it to stay in CE Mode?? 😮
Wich channel do you have to choose? 1-3
Hi thanks for the video. Can this hack co-exist with the vista hack on the SD Card? Also when switching to DIY mode on the V2's and binding to the vista would this reset the hack?
I have Dji goggles v2, and I fly with old airunit. I want to use the goggles at the same time with Avata too. Which code works for both of them?
Best regards
Kamran
and so i did this hack just today. goggles firmware is on .0015. shows 4 channels on 5.8Ghz 40Hz, 1 Channel on 2.4Ghz, 40Hz, 3 channels on 10Hz.
i don't know if i did it correctly and i don't think you need it on 5.8GHz to be on FCC mode...
However, it should be outputting 100mW if it's on 2.4GHz CE mode, which should be good enough if you're not doing long range...
i fail safed this morning at 370m, 100m alt. will need to see later if this works.
Thanks for the video Ian!
Which channel should I set it too though?
Anyone??????
I have this hack already for a couple of days and noticed, that I somehow need to choose channel 1/2/3 manually to get the 50 Mbps transmission rate correctly. Sometimes I only get around 5-6 Mbps and it will stay like that, even if I am directly next to the Avata. And it is not always the same channel, I need to check each time. You can leave in auto fine. Or choose a channel manually.
questions :
1. once the fcc applied, the file is actually no longer needed and canbe removed from sdcard? is that true?
2. will this work on the latest firmware as march 2024, or limited on certain version?
Great video, thanks for sharing. Does the transmitter transmit at CE power, or can this be bumped up too?
FCC is much higher output a than ce.
@@MadRC I know that. The hack covers goggles and transmission power of the video signal. I’m asking if the transmitter’s power varies by region, and if so, is there a hack for that also?
I got 3 channel but goggle reception still poor any ideal ? But i have goggle is 4 antenna not the type you show in this video
Hello, first of all thank you for your great video. I downloaded the file right away and tested it with my dji fpv drone. Then had 4 channels and thus fcc had to be enabled. Then a few days later I went to the field to fly. I checked again if everything is ok, but there were no longer 4 channels, only one. Still, the range was great. How do I know now if I'm in fcc or ce mode? I would be very happy about an answer. Greetings from Germany. Daniel
DJI released firmware version v01.01.0200 on September 14th. "Optimized flight safety" is the only point mentioned in the changelog. Who wants to give it a try, if this hack still works with this version? ;)
It does I checked.
Just a quick question.
In the US they have to use Remote ID (Latest firmware), I live in Europe and if i have the latest firmware and apply this "hack" will I then be forced to the "remote id" thing?
