Update: the screen on my K20 pro stopped working like 3 days ago after brightly flashing and shutting down 😅, I gave it the evil eye I guess 🤷🏻
I am also using K20 pro white colour version since 2019. It is still good.

Used it for 3 years. Best tech purchase I have made till date. The OS, the cameras, aaah!! those cameras. If Xiaomi pulls of something like this, they will be on top of the charts.
Watched this video on mi A3. I love this device. I haven't changed my device for last 5 years due to emotional attachment with this phone. Truly a great device. Holds up till today.
My first Android phone after using Nokia Lumia for more than 5 years. It was an amazing phone with very capable camera and amazing audio quality. I had a lot of fun installing custom ROMs on this device. This device will always have a special place in my heart.
I bought MI A1 on very 1st day of sale and kept it till 2021, then switched to 11 lite NE... Similar specs just MiUi instead of stock android 😅

I used Mi A1 for about 3 years. It was a really good phone, gave me good memories ❤️
Used this phone from 2017 to 2021. Unlocked bootloader with ADB and installed Gcam ports. What a camera it was with the Gcam. Just lit. 🔥
I remember wanting to buy this phone soo hard, it really was the OG at that time. Nostalgia hitting hard. It still looks stunning, I mean just look at that sexy unibody metal design with those antenna lines. Love it.
I just unlocked the bootloader now then suddenly this video comes out😅

Also can you let us know what all is not working, like banking apps etc.
I haven't used custom rom since late 2021. I remember sbi yono didn't work on unlocked bootloader even with safetynet secure on magisk.
@@kushagraNDevice MI a1 Rom pixel experience 13 currently the developer stop the support for this device but you can use this rom it's very smooth

use aosp with hiding magisk, it works flawlessy
@@kushagraN i am rocking pixelexperience on poco f4 everything works and very fast, expect of 3 things - hdfc-payzap, mcdownal, pocket mode. everything else works are better and smother than new miui.

I tought that Xiaomi phones are the best till the day I started to use oppo/realme. Since that day in October 2019, 0 ads, 0 unwanted apps, 0 lag, 0 problems, absolutely brilliant software, smart and useful. Stellar multi tasking, the best on the market. Besides phones I'm a big fan of Xiaomi brand.
I had bought Mi A1 for both my parents. Changed now after 6 years.

ah Proud owner here, got after my 10th boards in 2018, still runs okay. Gotta say, this device habituated me with clean UI experience. Also something a whole lot of people don't talk about is the speakers and the dual flashlights. Good times

& K20 is my All Time Fvrt & Legendary Phone ❤
I still remember that this phone was in direct competition with Moto G5s plus (as both had very good dual camera setup & both started the trend of dual camera setup), & i bought a Xiaomi phone in 2017 (just before this phone launched) & within 6 months, its motherboard got damaged, because of which it left a bitter taste in my mouth abour experience with Xiaomi, hence i moved to Moto, but after buying Moto , when this A1 came, i later started to regret as i loved its stock android experience over Moto 's stock Android
Note 7/7 pro!!.. with extremely good sound quality through the 3.5 mm port! Which is a dream of every music enthusiast!.
I'm commenting this from MI A1 itself. Been using it since 2018 and never found its worthy replacement.
Every other phone feels like a compromise in front of this phone.

The Portrait King of budget phones
Bought Mi A3 4 years ago. It still sometimes gave a tough competition in camera to today's smartphones. Unfortunately, a year ago my Mi A3's motherboard died. Still miss my Mi A3. R.I.P.🙏
I had the Mi A1 for about 2 yrs and the software experience was just brilliant. Than switched to Redmi K20 Pro which I used for 5 yrs. The MIUI was so buggy in that phone and the updates were also late always with added bugs every time. Now shifted to Samsung Galaxy S23 and having peace of mind using the OneUI.
Still have it.!!!
My favourite Xiaomi phone was the Redmi Note 4. From there i switched to OnePlus 8T. Redmi Note 4 was a great Phone.

Still own the Mi A1, There is nothing that convinces me today that I can replace this with, but it is aging rapidly, app support issues and chip performance issues are all coming in hot now.

My favorite was redmi 2. It was so good for the price at the time that any phones other than the pretty expensive ones failed in comparison. The images were so amazing, I don't know how they managed that.
I bought Mi A3 in 2020 at 15k. Using it in 2024 and I have no complaints. I can use it for 4 more years.
Mi A series was a budget friendly pixel for everyone
Stock android or light skins are amazing and i don't understand how people use phones with heavy skins. Stock android is the reason I've been a moto user for so long. I'd buy a pixel if i could afford one. I'll definitely buy one when I get a job after college.
13T is probably the best phone they've made in recent times that's the right balance between specs, price & experience.

Phone was soo ahead of time, that I had to sell it after using for 6months due to my travel habits and lack of type C in my circle. Seriously
I used it for 3 years. It's an absolute beast. But sad to see A series was cannibalised
The Last Interesting thing Xiaomi did was K20 and K20 Pro series 5 years Later still strong and buttery smooth..
The problem for Xiaomi in India is that Indians are putting greater budget for phones and the Indian mentality is that Xiaomi makes value for money phones but not flagships, unlike the reputation that Samsung, Apple, Google and OnePlus has made in India
I think k20 pro was the most worthy.
My Hot Take:
if ads (that can be disabled) can give me a better hardware in the same price, I'm all for it
I just can't seem to understand why people are so appalled by bloatware or ads ... it's sooo so easy to uninstall / turn them off

Why did Xiaomi abandon Xiaomi Android One? This is because Xiaomi doesn't get money, if you use MIUI/HYPEROS you can include ADS.

I bought one in 2017. Though it got stolen after 5 months. The follow up A series weren't great in comparison.
I happened to get hands on experience with RedMi K20 Pro (8/256). That's one of my favourite mobiles.

I loved this phone, used it for two years, no bugs until end of support, clean ui, sadly I was a kid and didn't take care of it well, it's cracked as hell now but still works, I am actually a dev now.
I bought mia1 in 2017 Nov and used it until 2021 Nov without any issues. Miss that lightweight and sleek design.
This phone is still I have and you know what with some minor hiccups the phone is good to use as a secondary phone.

Love mi a3. Just recently the motherboard crashed. Other than battery issue, the phone was my best one yet after buying higher price phone. Still miss the front camera.

Was an avid fan of the classy A1 but as had already got the Max 2...didn't switch...they never launched Max 3 in India & eventually shut down the Max series...quite sad..considering even 6-7 years before it had a large display with 5500 mah cell translating to fab battery life...but favourite has to be the legendary Poco F1...simply an outstanding all rounder that ticked almost all the boxes...!!

Metal body catch heat very easily, I have a metal body phone Lenovo k6 power it gets heated too much even in normal usage, as it has metal body it feels more heat in hand.
