The specific silliness makes sense if you know they were trying for a shot for shot remake of Meaghan Trainor's video. She liked it, as she tweeted a link to the HF cover. Home Free has a new one this Friday, Brother, and it's in the same vein of silly fun. Video concept was suggested by Adam (beatboxer) who is big into D&D. The cast of 100 or so includes Austin's girlfriend, who was the bartender in Rock and A Heartache.
If you check out the original video for Megan Traynor's All About that Bass, you'll see that every scene in this one is based on the original video but with a Home Free twist eg in the original Megan is lying on silk sheets, while Austin has two old tarps to lie on. Most of this was arranged by Austin apart from a section at the end arranged by Chris. Austin used to arrange quite a lot but now gives his energies to his own projects and songwriting. You might check out some of the stuff on his channel. He recorded the classic Signed Sealed Delivered in an explosive performance with Chris Chatham, his regular accompanist Sebastien Douyon and Tim's wife Jenika. Highly recommended.
