I'm about to make my order, thanks for the video! My X1C has recently started constantly complaining about an overloaded AMS motor, and I wasn't sure what the issue was. It's frankly ridiculous that the PTFE has to be replaced so often, I'm only at 350 hours on my X1C and AMS.
I've got both the Capricorn kit, and the TH3D Kit, and you can definitely tell the difference between the two. With the Capricorn, and it being a 3mm ID, you can VERY easily bend/kink the PTFE tubing. The TH3D Tough-tube is much firmer, and easier to install. It's got the same tolerances as the stock tubing, but seems to be, indeed, tougher than stock. I still haven't replaced 100% of the Cap, but everything from the buffer tube out to the AMS feeders is now TH3D TT. I'll eventually get around to replacing the internal PTFE on the printer, just haven't yet. This stuff works great on the K1 to replace Crealities PTFE as well btw..

don't do that! the original Bambu-lab PTEF tubes are wider than the standard! if you will replace it with thinner tubes (Capricorn) soon you will have a lot of problems with your AMS.

As a person considering a purchase of the Bambu Lab X1 Carbon Combo will this upgrade violate my warranty?
It a consumable , something that gets replaced once wore out. In my opinion No.
Capricorn is premium quality, but the Bambu needs the specs and friction of the og tubes to work properly. No need for heat resistance. This will cause trouble and isn’t recommended.
I have used Capricorn in the past on other printers with no issues. But the white oem ptfe that comes with the Bambu printers or at least mine wears are fairly quick from filament dragging across it .Tuff Tube is one of many options. But never use the cheap white PTFE that comes with the printer. Thanks for your comment.
Our tubing works perfectly fine in the AMS. It's been tested on the P1 and X1 with no issues. You are incorrect about it causing issues.
@@TH3DStudioHow much longer will your tubing last vs the stock tubing?
@@NWGR we've got tubing with over 2000 hours on it that is still not worn through. The stock stuff on our X1C was showing wear around 900-1000 hours. It will vary based on what you are printing with as well.
