I set my LED's up before Tim released his LED's and integrated them into my printed riser, but it's one of the absolute best upgrades you can do. Makes the view in the camera 100% better (in my opinion), and I've read it helps the X1's spaghetti detection also.

Also good to mention, some of the 'kits' for these from other sellers draw considerably more power than TH3D's does, and may end up causing issues with the control board. I power my with an external supply (connected to a esphome relay), and control it with my HomeAssistant setup. Comes on when the print starts, cuts off after the print is done.

This upgrade makes a night and day difference! (pun intended). That stock light is a nice gesture, but doesn't cut it. This is a great find, thanks!

I reached out to the contact for TH3D asking how long the cable was (because I have a riser with 45 degee angled places to mount LED strips) and if there was a splitter (so you could use the original light in conjunction with this 3 light LED since 3/4 sides is odd). I never heard back. 😞
At least with your video I can see the cable is plenty long to go up to the riser above. Still wish it was for 4 sides. I would probably do the 2 sides and the front and ignore lighting from the back unless there is a specific reason to do the 2 sides and the back like you demonstrated.
Thanks for demo'ing this, I really wanted to see this level of detail.

Those lighting kits work great, put one of the TH3D kits in my P1S a couple weeks back, great deal. I live in Canada and they shipped it, no issues.
