I didn't realise people attacked you for that review. All reviews are opinions, if you had pretended to love the game just to please the masses the review would not have any real value or integrity. People who love this game should just consider the points you made and agree to disagree.
There's actually an option in settings to restrict the quests that show up on screen. It goes from 3, 1 or None. Just a TIP to anyone playing! It's a wonderfully cute game!
I ordered a physical copy of this so sadly I won't be able to play it right away. But it does look fantastic! Also I did play Ever Oasis and am hoping for a sequel someday. But most of all I am waiting for... Fantasy Life!
Hi, I thought I wasn't going to purchase AWL after watching your video and even commented on it mentioning that very thing. But I ended up purchasing it. I'm really enjoying it. True, towards the end of the first year, it does drag some. But after the first year and if you have added animals and crops to your farm, there is more to do. That may not be the type of thing you like to do and that is ok. The game is very farm, animal, family, & social oriented. Very chill. Cooking for your family. Playing with your child. Running the farm. I have found myself pushing the limit at night trying to get everything done. However, the game isn't for all and that is okay. 'I am thinking about buying the game you are reviewing, but I don't typically like combat like this. I haven't been able to get into not one Rune Factory Game ever and I have been trying since the first one released in 2006. I thought I would like them because they were made by the same people that made Harvest Moon, but I was never able to. So I'm not sure I would like this. I may try it if on sale and refund if I don't. Love that about Steam! :) Thanks for the vid!
Very happy to hear that you're enjoying it! Remember, reviews are very personal no matter how objective one can try to be. If a game does not click with me, it does not mean that it will not click with you!
This could be the next game I buy a physical copy of. I wish I had for Tears of The Kingdom but I got too excited and bought digital. I’ll have to put Atelier Marie on my Amazon wishlist. 😊
The game looks very fun and cute. I definitely want to play it at some point. Although I do find it a little strange that a whole day will pass by from picking up items
After your excellent review I'm even more anxious to get my copy in the mail 😅 It's going to be my first Atelier game. I also bought Danganronpa Trilogy and Ace Attorney 123. Yey 🎉
Collecting rumours makes her sound like a gossipmonger 😅 Anyway, this is a skillfully structured review with super helpful time stamps. Looks like a game for me 😊👍
Thanks for this review! Will most likely buy it at some point, but I fell to the temptation and bought 5 atelier games during the steam sales, so... this one won't be for too soon haha It's on my wishlist though :D
I’ve been waiting…. And I think it looks like it was worth the wait. I only have 1 question. I know English is not the original language this was published in. So, how is the translation?
@@Lamasis2 the game has 7 different endings I believe so you have to play it at least 7 times to see all the scenes and endings and to develop your friendship with everyone etc
While the remake is cozy the original was intense if you don't know what you're doing. Those random encounters on the map kicked my ass even with adventurers protecting me. I was only going to Hebel Lake lol how could I get ambushed by thieves already? Lol
Never played any of these n tbh few jrpgs. I know the repetition isn't an issue. I've played tonnes of games with that. Games like house flipper have plenty and rpgs I try to do everything going anyway.. Maybe a sale buy as this latter part of 2023 has my wallet crying with the £ needed
Definitely agree with needing something cute and comfy after ff16 I’m only 50-60% done but sheesh 🥹 same thing with Diablo 4 (although I’m only level 20) The story in both is so dark and I love it! but I need something to cheer me up too 😅
I just started Diablo 4 last week and I am level 15 playing as a Druid and yes it is very dark (yet very fun),but having something like this is definitely a great thing. I actually have been playing a lot of Cassette Beasts lately on my Switch so having Marie also is definitely going to add to my more lighter and relaxing game sessions.
@@MissBubbles Neither have I. It's an Xbox game, and I don't have an Xbox. I don't think a remake or remaster is going to happen. I read an article from Kotaku that says the founder of Mistwalker isn't interested in remakes or remasters. He says all of the time and resources that it takes to do it isn't worth it. He would rather work on something new.

It's a wonderfully cute game!
I wish I saw that when I was playing! Thank you for sharing this tip!!
I preordered it digitally on my switch! I’m so excited for release day! Thank you for your amazing video, made me so much more excited 🤩
Have fun meeting Marie and her friends
Definitely looking forward to playing this tomorrow after work!!! Always get super hyped for Atelier games
Hope you enjoy it!
@@MissBubbles I definitely will! 🙂
I always love Atelier Games ❤ i love the 2D art of this series.
It's so purdy!!
Thank you for this review! I was actually thinking of getting this.
☺️
It's such a fun and cozy one!

Fantasy Life!
FANTASY LIFEEEE 💜💜💜💜
The new Fantasy Life does look pretty cool. I’m excited for it as well!
Ever Oasis was so good! I actually started my 5th playthrough of that game recently.
Thank you for this review of Atelier Marie.
Been a fan of Atelier series since Ayesha, so i was happy to see they remade the first game.
Imagine if they remake more and more of them and add unlimited mode and easy mode? SOLD!!
I've just bought Atelier Sophie 2, looks like I need to update my wish list with this haha!
Love Sophie 2!! But the puzzles were increasingly exhausting to deal with

Yeah it's def a different take on the Atelier games hehe
the second this goes on sale I will be picking it up.
it looks soo cute, highly likely i'll buy it!
It's 100% worth it
After your excellent review I'm even more anxious to get my copy in the mail 😅 It's going to be my first Atelier game. I also bought Danganronpa Trilogy and Ace Attorney 123. Yey 🎉
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! I really needed this game and it was a perfect cozy break for me!
Omg yay! 16k smashed! And I can wait to start this one up as well 🎉
Thanks for the review! The game definitely looks very cute and cozy!
Collecting rumours makes her sound like a gossipmonger 😅 Anyway, this is a skillfully structured review with super helpful time stamps. Looks like a game for me 😊👍
Good review. I like the Atelier Remake, but I was worried about the time mechanic. But this seem like a good steam deck game for me.
It's a punishment that you can avoid easily using unlimited mode and not taking quests you know you won't complete on time!
@@MissBubbles I love nothing better than a game that lets me play how I like to play. I might just pick this up. Thanks
I am interested in it, but will put it in a buy later list as I want to squish my backlog as much as I can before growing it again
No need to rush if you are enjoying other games right now!
Thanks for this review! Will most likely buy it at some point, but I fell to the temptation and bought 5 atelier games during the steam sales, so... this one won't be for too soon haha It's on my wishlist though :D
Omg that sale had so many good Atelier games on sale haha!
@@MissBubbles Pretty much the whole franchise was on sale @_@
This seems like a really good entry into the series
It's the best start into the series since the mechanics are super simple
Reeee! I want this! Wryyyyy!
Also squish!
I assumed the shallow depth of field look was used to maintain performance as the engine has less details it needs to resolve at any given moment
Maybe, but it is so irritating especially if you suffer from motion sickness like I do
@@MissBubbles definitely. It is a cool technique to keep performance higher, but it is jarring.
I’ve been waiting…. And I think it looks like it was worth the wait. I only have 1 question. I know English is not the original language this was published in. So, how is the translation?
I had no issues, everything is easy to understand in English!
@@MissBubbles yay! Now I’m even more excited! 😍
I want to play in unlimited mode, but I don't want to miss the scenes, whichever they might.
Which scenes will you miss?
@@MissBubbles I don't know. I only know that you will miss some if you play in unlimited. Well, that's what I'm hearing everywhere.
@@Lamasis2 the game has 7 different endings I believe so you have to play it at least 7 times to see all the scenes and endings and to develop your friendship with everyone etc
Thank you for the review. I has really interesting ideas, but the repetitiveness kills it for me.

They def would kick my butt if I was not playing on easy mode haha

I'm kind of not for this because it feels like a mobile version of what the Atelier series is, it's almost like Nelke but with better combat.
Highly disagree especially as it's a remake of a 25+ year old game 😊
Definitely agree with needing something cute and comfy after ff16 I’m only 50-60% done but sheesh 🥹 same thing with Diablo 4 (although I’m only level 20) The story in both is so dark and I love it! but I need something to cheer me up too 😅

To be honest I miss Lost odyssey 🥲 I need a remake or remaster from mistwallker that is a JRPG
Never heard of it before!
