I wanted to try this series for a long time but I'm too afraid that I would lose my arm and leg to save my little bro from a failed synthesis in making our mother
Well if you know where your mother's soul is and don't mind her not having a body of flesh and blood you can always create a doll with her likeness and then use alchemy to craft several rare and powerful tools for transferring said soul into the doll. It's what Sophie did. It's why I don't think she should take an exam and should just get her full liscence. She's transferring souls and using alchemy to replicate Time Lord technology's chief attribute. And she can apparently just give away the portable atelier, which likely means she can just make another one. Even with a cheat cauldron her abilities are pure bullshit and she's probably the best alchemist in her games.

Thanks for sharing. I've put this series off for decades and finally caved yesterday. So here I am, 47 years old playing the mysterious book lol. I'm enjoying it so far. The characters themselves are absolutely beautiful. I'm playing on pc so it came with a crap ton of extra music. The music is one of my favorite parts of the game so far. Reminder for those who are interested. An english translation patch for Atelier Marie + Elie: The Alchemists of Salburg 1 & 2 for the PS2, which is a remastered version of the first two games, has become recently available.
This is old but you haven't figured it out I'm going to assume the translation is in .ips format, you would use LIPS. Open lips, navigate to the translation file, then navigate to the .iso/.bin/.img file of the game, burn and/or run on PCSX2

the best atelier ever. The battle just that good with shredding guitar as battle theme. And it a school setting which make it easier to get through the story
AgehaLady Great taste~ Mana Khemia 1 is gewd~ Played Mana Khemia 2 for the continuation of the story and for *"A Certain famous JP seiyuu"* (This is the clue)
I also started out with the Dusk series, which also ended up being my favourite. Ayesha got me hooked and it only got better in the two following two games - love the combination of lightheartedness and the mystery of the dying world constantly lurking in the background. It's good to finally see someone who seems to appreciate the Atelier games as much as I do. :)
With the Atelier Nelke (and its All-stars Ensemble) "spin-off" announced to come to the West, I have to say this is the most impeccable timing to release this video. That said, I must also say the Atelier Iris and Mana Khemia were so different in structure they rather led to the creation of the Ar Tonelico series...
Ar Tonelico was a collaboration project between Gust and Banpresto, and the creator, Akira Tsuchiya already had plans for it's setting since he was in highschool. AT 1 was released at the same year as Iris 3, so it probably was in development maybe even before Iris 2 that was released a year earlier, while Mana Khemia was released one year after AT 1. Ar Tonelico and Iris/Khemia share some of it's developers, including Akira himself, but is completely different to them. There is a crafting system with Grathmelding, but it looks so much like an afterthought that you can completely skip it and you'll miss basically nothing of the game, side for the ocasional conversations between the protag and your current Reyvateil. I've played and finished AT 1 and am now going through MK 1, and they're both very good, but I like the gameplay in MK a lot more, specially the combat, which I consider to be one of the best Turn Based combat in any RPG I've played.
I'm a huge fan of most JRPG series but the Atelier games were never my thing perhaps because they're so lighthearted. That said, if it fits ones taste it looks like a very consistent franchise that delivers what its fans want. This is a nice video^^
I quite liked the Arland trilogy, especially Totori and Meruru. They were really nice games. Also really liked the Marie&Elie manga, which was published in German ages ago.
Oh! I might be misremembering, but back then I couldn’t find these videos anymore and was rly saddened. I just finished escha and logy recently and just reminisced over the firis ost. I’m glad to find these again!
I wouldn't recommend this game as a start. Ayesha and Escha & Logy at first turned me off from the franchise. These are the first two games I tried before any other. It wasn't until I played Atelier Shailie, strangely enough, which got me into the franchise, although that's the last one in the Dusk arc. For younger gamers or maybe beginners, I might recommend the newer arc that's out though. Maybe Ryza will be a good starter when it comes out, but the Mysterious arc may be a good start. But then again, it really depends on what you're looking for. The Dusk arc probably has the best story.
@@chronofantasy1987 I finished both Escha & Logy and Shallies. Shallies got better battle system but the story is dying after second half of the game. I would say Escha and Logy got better story than Shallies. Shallies final boss is very underwhelming.
Idk why but I own all of the atelier games!!!! *Rorona* is the best one to start with (PS3 era) since it's time limit is broken up over several missions. *Meruru* I found quite hard, but it does lay all it's cards on the table up front. *Sophie* (PS4) has no time limit, which is great for beginners.
Ah yes, the Atelier series. Most certainly a personal favorite jrpg series since I encountered it in 2013 with the vita version of Totori. That said though the games timed system clashed with my obsession with grinding which is probably the main reason I only have the Arland trilogy and a few others. Also small bit of trivia for the less linguistic. If I recall correctly the word atelier is from the french language and as one could guess refers to a workshop. It's just one of those moments were using a word from another language makes it more interesting, flowery, or poetic take your pick on which sounds more accurate.
Being in America, without surprise, my love for the Atelier series all started for me with Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana. No time limit so you can feel free to flow through at your pace. Every event progresses the time in game and adds extra depth. Humor, romance, and epic story all entailed inside. Barrel!
Thank you so much! I've been wanting to play an Atelier even since I watched Escha & Logys anime but I never had a console, until this year. Got Atelier Sophie on this summer sale and I can't wait to get into it! (when I'm done with Persona 5)
This is an amazing video! I think the only improvement I can give it is that because there are so many games, it would be nice if the title of each game or the box art were up on screen as well in the corner or something. This is a lot of information to swallow at once but this video has also convinced me to try the series out!
Thick Thighs Save Lives i recommend atelier rorona > totori > meruru or arland series Technical wise, rorona plus is the latest in mechanic, which similar to meruru Totori is the oldest in mechanics Or you can play OLD rorona on PS3 for the lolz, not recommended Story wise, totori is the best out of 3 character wise, i love meruru Gameplay wise, okay, but rorona plus is most balanced from performance
My first game in the series was Mana Kehmia. I love Vayne and the story. The characters are solo good and enjoyable. I quickly played it a second time after beating it just to get Muppy's ending. It had me in tears I was laughing so hard. I was able to get it and the second game, but I still haven't beaten the second one. I have one of two of the other series, and this puts things into perspective for me. Now I know more about what to expect while playing the rest of the series.
I only beat the two mana khemia games, i tried two or three other atelier games, but they didn't hook me. Then again it was when i was still into Harry Potter and mana khemia kinda felt like a magic school simulator.
Bless you for liking this series. Being raised on the PS2, Azoth, Grand Phantasm, the two Mana Khemias and Ar Tonelico 2 for me were my funsie rpg games. It's real fun watching this and reliving fond childhood memories
I'm happy that you unprivated your videos. I like coming back to them every few months. Thanks for all the content you gave us over the years and good luck on your future endevours.
I was on Atlelier Sophie a few months ago but I dropped it because time limit was mentioned. Note that this was my first try on Atelier series and I hate time limit based games (this is all your fault FF14 Lightning Returns). But after watching your video, I think I will give it another go. Thank you for the video.
Thank you for this video! I remember seeing things about the Atelier games when Escha and Logy were first coming out. I did a bit of research then and was overwhelmed. Shallie caught my eye when they were announced and I remember reading articles about them until the game was released. If I was going to start a game I would start with Shallie, because it seems the most interesting to me. Both of the main characters just seem so different. I love the art style for these games.
Yay, i was waiting for this one ^^. I've played the Arland trilogy, the Dusk trilogy and the Mysterious trilogy, but I always wondered about the first half of the series, so thank you for your impressions, and really nice seeing you've liked the franchise ^^
A someone who started this series with Atelier Annie: Alchemists of Sera Island, I appreciate this video so much since I really want to try some on Ps4~!
I absolutely loved this video. Thanks for spreading the good word of the Atelier series, and you're definitely not alone in loving the Dusk series. Atelier Escha & Logy is my favorite in the series!
With the sales starting I was thinking of dropping my "rawr so hardcore" games and play something comfy that needs tea and cookies to snack along. Cheers for the video!
Thanks. I bought Lulua, and Mysterious - Lydie & Suelle, Firis and Sophie right now on Steam Black Friday sale. I was looking to play some games on my new Lenovo Y740 and 165 Hz ASUS monitor. :D :D :D But the thing is, I really have no time to waste on gore and blood. I needed something to relax. I'll probably buy the others as well, if I like em. :-)
Get your controller, turn off the curtains and open the nightlight. Also, don't forget to have a comfy chair and you will acquire the best experience ever.
Interesting... I can see how Gust really came into it’s style. I’ve only ever played the Ar Tonelico series, but after seeing this, alot of Ar Tonelico’s style (and the inclusion of it’s own somewhat-unnecessary “alchemy” system) makes sense. A focus on the party member’s day-to-day interactions, a magical whimsy hiding the harshness of the history of the world... fantastic setting flush with color and character? Check checkity check! I wonder... do you have any experience with Ar Tonelico, ValkyrieAurora? I personally prefer it, if only for those songs...
This video made me start with Atelier Ayesha, I loved every single second of it, and now I'm finishing Escha and Logy. So thanks for introducing me and a lot more people to this fantastic franchise!
Oh man I loved the mana khemia series and I didn't even realize it was part of the Atelier series. I'm tempted to give the aterlier games a try now if they play similarly
i am so glad, you talked about the time management in each entry, because i personally prefer a strict one. It just motivates me to give my best and i love to planning ahead. I play the series since the ps3 entries, so the time management was for me always a definite part of "atelier". When the newer entries began to aband this system, i parted with the series. But maybe i should give Firis a try. Or some of the older ones. Thanks for this video.
I tried playing Marie via the recently translated patch and I don't know if I would call it easy? I mean your right that it doesn't hand-hold, but it also doesn't have a cushion like the later games where losing fights just means you need an extended break. Even the second area's slimes will do you in if you charge in soon as it's available. I loved playing it to see how Rorona relates a lot to it however (which was my first Atelier) That said it was nice to hear about the second arc and the Mana Khemia games which I haven't tried yet. The atelier series needs more love!
I have been on the fence about this series for months, but it's finally going onto my wishlist. Thank you for such a clear and comprehensive overview of the Atelier Series.
This was honestly a very helpful video! I bought Atelier Totori Plus on my Vita back in 2013, but found the game to be too overwhelming and complex for me at the time, so I didn't play it much, even though the series still seemed to be enjoyable, and I did enjoy the basic gameplay and story concepts I experienced in Totori Plus. I think now that I'm more experienced with RPGs I'd be able to enjoy the series, and this video helped get me familiar with the other games, and also what to look forward to in them. In fact, I just ordered Atelier Lydie and Suelle because I knew of a great deal on it, so I've decided to take a chance on it.
tbh I've been wanting to get into this series for a few years now and haven't been super successful, never getting far in the games I tried a while back but never really losing interest either so I mostly just appreciated it from a distance. You going into each game/sub-series in this video helped spark my interest again and maybe give me a better idea of how to go about it (also it's rad that you touched on the first five games as well), so thank you.
Thank you for such a deep introduction of the series. I started with Mana Khemia and wasn't sure which should I choose to continue with the series. After watching your video is more clear the differences between the different series
As someone who has been enjoying the series for years, it's a good watch/listen. Glad I wasn't the only person getting steamed by the rorona time limits.... Also! You didn't mention atelier annie, which is a one-off title on the DS. It's...not great, so I don't blame you for ignoring it, but it at least should be mentioned.
These are definitely highly underrated games. I first got into them around the time Ayesha came out, and I really liked the time-management/crafting aspect that really added a new layer to the RPG combat aspect. Since playing more, I gotta' say, Atelier Rorona Plus is my favorite so far, just because of all the great characters it has. Rorona is best girl.
I've been trying to get into this series for awhile. Atelier has always caught my eye with it's character design and fun looking gameplay but I can get pretty intimidated if a series has a lot of titles to choose from. Great video btw, it really helped me pick and choose which game/trilogy to start with. I'll probably get Atelier Ayesha! uwu
you might want to add some side games like Atelier Annie, Lise and Lina, AFAIK only Annie is released in the US Annie its kind of goofy, but its still a good game
Absolutely fantastic video!! I just today discovered the series through a random find of the first Iris game; Eternal Mana. I didn't know much about the series to be honest, but almost immediately after starting it up got hooked because of the gorgeous artwork and music. In a single day I've become an addict and I already just feel the need for more. I'm a really big RPG fan in general with my roots in Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy and I've discovered alot of different RPG's for different consoles over the years, but it's been a long time since I last found a game that captivated me as much as Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana have.
Great video, now i feel like getting a vita/ps3. I only played the iris trilogy and the two mana khemia games, even preordering the big box mana khemia 2. Mana khemia tbh is my favorite ps2 soundtrack, and favorite battle system of any jrpg ever.
I think Gust saw this video and figured they needed to speed up development. Hard to believe Lulua and Ryza weren't even around 4 years ago. Amazing breakdown. I was someone that bought Atelier Iris 1 when it came out and couldn't figure out why they bothered. It seemed very generic for a JRPG (with decent music and spritework, which was getting rarer at the time) and I kind of ignored the series for awhile afterwards.
Thank you for taking the time to make this video. I have played the Iris arc and Mana Khemia games. I had to miss out on the titles after that because I never got a PS3 or P4. I was very curious about the story in these games I missed and you have filled that void for me. I do hope to one day play all of the previous and current games that I have missed.
Love your video , I started a couple months ago with Atelier Ryza and I loved the story telling component and the astethics, everything looks so colorful and cute , and currently im playing Firis and Sophie
Two months ago, I was wondering about getting into this series and this video popped literally a few hours later. It took me a long time to actually get around to posting this, but that's only because I've been Valkyrie-proofing my house, I swear. Anyway, great video and thanks for making it, Valkyrie!
Thank you for summarizing 20 years of a franchise in less than 30 minutes, including episodes not ("rarely") available outside Japan! It's also a journey through history of video games.
Thank you for reviewing my fav game series, I felled in love with Atelier series and playing them non stop since Arland trilogy, it's nice for you to share some info with older titles!
Hey, I only played Atelier Annie for the DS years ago and I was wondering if I missed something or if that one isn’t a real atelier game? These games sound cool and I actually have the systems to play them now, so I am excited to check more out!
Thank you! I already have Ayesha (it looked too pretty, heartwarming, and anime too resist), but I've been too afraid to play it because of the time management. But your words have given me courage! Every time I hear about these games, I think of Snow White With the Red Hair, which is an anime that I enjoy a lot. Probably just the similar feelings of being colorful and feminine and involving gathering ingredients, though.
@@Antiyoukai *shrugs* I don't care if my heroines get help from guys, just so long as they do their best in whatever situation they're thrown into. And that's something that Shirayuki definitely does. I don't consider that to be weak at all.
@@Antiyoukai As long as we're talking about protagonists rather than side characters, this is true, which is why I don't put a lot of stock in most complaints about female protagonists. As a girl, I'd rather read, watch, and play stories about girls being themselves than about girls obsessed with acting like guys. Not that girls can't do manly things, but there's no point in doing those things unless you want or need to. A story focused on a female character's struggle to act traditionally manly--as long as it's just for the sake of proving that she can--makes for a boring tale with no meaningful character development, at least in my opinion.
I fell in love with this series from the Iris games and while I haven't finished all of them I've managed to keep buying them everytime they are released, something about them is just amazing and calming in the story and the alchemy! I haven't found another series quite like this thats for sure. Great video~
Sophie was my first game, I remember seeing the thumbnail on Steam and falling in love instantly without even knowing anything about the game itself. I probably won't touch the earlier games for a long time because of my deep-rooted hatred of time limits (but hey, at least the anime for Escha & Logy was awesome). The soundtracks are amazing and I own the Mysterious series's physical OSTs. Thank you for making this video, you've got yourself a new subscriber!
I still prefer the Ar Tonelico/Surge Concerto games. But I really liked Mana Khemia 1 and 2, as well as Escha & Logy. Couldn't get through Ayesha unfortunately due to not liking the dub, but E&L is just more of my alley thanks to that start in Mana Khemia 1 and Ar Tonelico 2.
This was s uch a good introduction to the streengths of each game in the series. I've been seeing several of these games pop up on the switch and I had never heard of the series, but they looked like exactly the kind of aesthetic I wanted to play, so I thought I'd try one of them out. Probably going to start with the dusk trilogy, then if I want to play more, Lydia and Suelle, then Ryza.
can you message me when you find out what song it is? by the way, valkyrie by aether is pretty good! maybe she should use it as her opening song for some variation :)
I think aether made the intro/outro for her then released the full version Valkyrie later on. Don't remember where I got that info from though. So yeah I don't think you can get your hands on the specific version used for the intro
Thank you so much for this information. I've loved this series for awhile since I've seen a few trailers and gameplay but I've never truly understood the structure of the installments or what they were truly like. I can't wait to start off with the dusk or mysterious installments.

How do you apply this patch though?
This is old but you haven't figured it out I'm going to assume the translation is in .ips format, you would use LIPS. Open lips, navigate to the translation file, then navigate to the .iso/.bin/.img file of the game, burn and/or run on PCSX2
@@jazzycup9274 I recently found the translated version but thanks still very informative

Playing an Atelier game is like playing an excellent anime; good art, good characters, good story. A very fun series with lots to do
This video is such a great resource for the older Atelier games that aren't covered much on UA-cam
An intro into my early GUST games of my highschool days... Damn I feel old now....
Mana Khemia is my fav btw..
the best atelier ever. The battle just that good with shredding guitar as battle theme. And it a school setting which make it easier to get through the story
I might try one eventually. You can rent both from gamfly. My friend said he loved the one he played back in the day.
me too, i also love mana khemia so much, well i love mk 1 more than 2 but both are great games back in the day
AgehaLady
Great taste~ Mana Khemia 1 is gewd~
Played Mana Khemia 2 for the continuation of the story and for *"A Certain famous JP seiyuu"* (This is the clue)
also, ar tonelico. 1 and 2. never played 3... shame on me.
This must be a nightmare to gather footage and edit.
I don't know if anyone complimented you on this, but your editing is great.
Great job.
queen come through and slay me w/ these long ass videos
I like the Arland trilogy the best myself. They struck the best balance with time management while maintaining a cozy atmosphere.
I'm a huge fan of most JRPG series but the Atelier games were never my thing perhaps because they're so lighthearted. That said, if it fits ones taste it looks like a very consistent franchise that delivers what its fans want. This is a nice video^^
Have you tried the older Atelier games like Mana Khemia and Atelier Iris? They're less lighthearted than the newer games.
How is cold and steel?
they are moeshit and yuribait for adult males who watch precure and cardcaptor sakura
Lighthearted? Try Mana Khemia and Atelier Iris. They're the black sheeps of the Atelier franchise.
I never knew this series had such a history. With Ryza coming out they're still going strong.
I know I just found out about this series.
I quite liked the Arland trilogy, especially Totori and Meruru. They were really nice games.
Also really liked the Marie&Elie manga, which was published in German ages ago.
Fen Y hows the 4th arland game? I know it’s out on the switch.
Oh! I might be misremembering, but back then I couldn’t find these videos anymore and was rly saddened. I just finished escha and logy recently and just reminisced over the firis ost. I’m glad to find these again!
I think Atelier Escha and Logy is the best start.
- No real time limit.
- Girl and Boy to pick from.
- Not too hard to learn Alchemy.
Can I get your pfp? Where did you see it?
So, in other words, Mana Khemia 2 with more of a time limit?
For dusk its just really have 2 choices at this point
Escha and logy or shallies
Mana Khemia: Alchemists of Al-Revis is really the best Atelier game I've played. Best game with the best Pamela version.
Damn right!
Thank you I was honestly planning to get this game but I was unsure but after hearing about it from you I wanna buy it myself now
Thick Thighs Save Lives i recommend atelier rorona > totori > meruru or arland series
Technical wise, rorona plus is the latest in mechanic, which similar to meruru
Totori is the oldest in mechanics
Or you can play OLD rorona on PS3 for the lolz, not recommended
Story wise, totori is the best out of 3
character wise, i love meruru
Gameplay wise, okay, but rorona plus is most balanced from performance
I really, REALLY like the art style of the Iris games. That alone makes me want to play them.
Always wanted to know more about this series. Thank you for this!
I just want Mana Khemia to come back.
Only you
Hidari has such an amazing art style, and so recognizable!
I'm happy that you unprivated your videos. I like coming back to them every few months.

thanks for making this. Atelier was always eye-catching with it's art and warm aesthetics, just overwhelming with its number of releases
I was on Atlelier Sophie a few months ago but I dropped it because time limit was mentioned. Note that this was my first try on Atelier series and I hate time limit based games (this is all your fault FF14 Lightning Returns). But after watching your video, I think I will give it another go. Thank you for the video.
FF14? Wasn't it FF13?
There is no time limit in Atelier Sophie
I just found your channel today because I wanted to know about Atelier Ryza. I love you now.
I’m so glad you made this video. I played iris2 and I was confused about the newer games
With the Marie game coming out as a remake I just wanted to come back and rewatch this video~
Shogil agreed
I loved playing it to see how Rorona relates a lot to it however (which was my first Atelier)
That said it was nice to hear about the second arc and the Mana Khemia games which I haven't tried yet. The atelier series needs more love!
I have been on the fence about this series for months, but it's finally going onto my wishlist. Thank you for such a clear and comprehensive overview of the Atelier Series.
Where to start??
BARREL!!!
Best recurring gag ever
Vayne and the gang : BARREL!
In fact, I just ordered Atelier Lydie and Suelle because I knew of a great deal on it, so I've decided to take a chance on it.
atelier iris 2 literally changed my life
itschello you too?
Still think the best part is the shop theam song lol
I like the camp song (Under the Tiny Roof).. It's very relaxing.. :D
Until Palaxius
tbh I've been wanting to get into this series for a few years now and haven't been super successful, never getting far in the games I tried a while back but never really losing interest either so I mostly just appreciated it from a distance. You going into each game/sub-series in this video helped spark my interest again and maybe give me a better idea of how to go about it (also it's rad that you touched on the first five games as well), so thank you.
High Impact
S E X U A L V I O L E N C E
I tried playing Marie with the english patch thats available but DANG they really just throw you into the game and tell you to git gud huh
I've been trying to get into this series for awhile. Atelier has always caught my eye with it's character design and fun looking gameplay but I can get pretty intimidated if a series has a lot of titles to choose from. Great video btw, it really helped me pick and choose which game/trilogy to start with. I'll probably get Atelier Ayesha! uwu
you might want to add some side games like Atelier Annie, Lise and Lina, AFAIK only Annie is released in the US
Annie its kind of goofy, but its still a good game
Atelier Annie was my introduction to the series! It's such a charming little game ^-^
So where do I get a metal arm and turn one of my brothers into a suit of armor?
Gat the Man Mana Khemia Al- Revis. It's even better. Your cat turned into your arm weapon thingy. Sorry only knew Mana Khemia
Well i dont know about brother but there is a book which is in a dolls body
Thank you for taking the time to make this video. I have played the Iris arc and Mana Khemia games. I had to miss out on the titles after that because I never got a PS3 or P4. I was very curious about the story in these games I missed and you have filled that void for me. I do hope to one day play all of the previous and current games that I have missed.
Almost a half an hour video? You spoil us Sophie
THAN YOU FOR MAKING THIS. I've been eyeing the altelier series for a while but I've just never known where to start. So Thanks!
Mana khemia was my first
I thought the series was big before clicking on this video. I had no idea how big it was, but couldn't stop watching. Thanks!
I'm very interested in this series after watching the trailer of Atelier Thighza
Me too
Ryza (among other things) is was brought me here
Love your video , I started a couple months ago with Atelier Ryza and I loved the story telling component and the astethics, everything looks so colorful and cute , and currently im playing Firis and Sophie
I never knew about this game before this but thank you for making this video, I'm genuinely interested now because of this, great vid
Azd Exe in case you’re interested, Sophie used to livestream these games on twitch
The ending of this video was so pure Sophie T^T I hope this series gets all the love and attention you want it to receive.
Two months ago, I was wondering about getting into this series and this video popped literally a few hours later. It took me a long time to actually get around to posting this, but that's only because I've been Valkyrie-proofing my house, I swear.
Anyway, great video and thanks for making it, Valkyrie!
Atelier iris and mana khemia was my childhood OMG thank you for making a video about them
Be honest, you really like to say "Rorona"
Thank you for summarizing 20 years of a franchise in less than 30 minutes, including episodes not ("rarely") available outside Japan! It's also a journey through history of video games.
I’m still confused. But I might pick up one of the switch games.
Thank you for reviewing my fav game series, I felled in love with Atelier series and playing them non stop since Arland trilogy, it's nice for you to share some info with older titles!
Have you also played the Ar Tonelico games? They're also made by Gust.
Thank you for making this video public again. Wanted to get into the series now that it’s on sale but didn’t know which to get.
Hey, I only played Atelier Annie for the DS years ago and I was wondering if I missed something or if that one isn’t a real atelier game? These games sound cool and I actually have the systems to play them now, so I am excited to check more out!
I started with Annie, so was hoping for some nostalgia. I was kinda surprised to see one of the "kidnappers" from Annie in I think it was Iris.
The heroine of that anime is still too weak and male dependent compared to Atelier leads though
@@Antiyoukai *shrugs* I don't care if my heroines get help from guys, just so long as they do their best in whatever situation they're thrown into. And that's something that Shirayuki definitely does. I don't consider that to be weak at all.
@@sonyafirefly3879 >just so long as they do their best in whatever situation they're thrown into
That's like every single protagonist out there.
Pamela is best girl. Try changing my mind.
her voice...
Which specifically tho?
Every installment except Mana-Khemia2, she's probably the first character which I can't stand the voice, even in japanese
Personally I like an astrid
STD best waifu.
I fell in love with this series from the Iris games and while I haven't finished all of them I've managed to keep buying them everytime they are released, something about them is just amazing and calming in the story and the alchemy! I haven't found another series quite like this thats for sure. Great video~
Is the answer Iris 1,2,3?
I have no idea how this got in my suggest videos but I'm gonna keep watching because I love to learn about new games
100k Subs,almost there...
Couldn't get through Ayesha unfortunately due to not liking the dub, but E&L is just more of my alley thanks to that start in Mana Khemia 1 and Ar Tonelico 2.
>playing Atelier for the combat
lel
Antiyoukai uh, what?
Antiyoukai wait. Soo i should skip it? I only like the combact *mana khemia*
Calad Euka Atelier isn't for you
Calad Euka try Atelier Escha & Logy then. It has a decent combat mechanics IMO.
Soo, what the song you used in your opening and ending of your video?
You should check out valkyrie by aether just saying
can you message me when you find out what song it is?
by the way, valkyrie by aether is pretty good!
maybe she should use it as her opening song for some variation :)
I think aether made the intro/outro for her then released the full version Valkyrie later on. Don't remember where I got that info from though. So yeah I don't think you can get your hands on the specific version used for the intro
Jacob Darma woosh
Thank you so much for this information. I've loved this series for awhile since I've seen a few trailers and gameplay but I've never truly understood the structure of the installments or what they were truly like. I can't wait to start off with the dusk or mysterious installments.
