"Attention mercenary: This is the Dread Legion. Whatever the Draconis Combine is paying you, we'll double it. Just turn around, and head for your dropship, and we'll take care of the rest."
I always on purposely failed the mission before it (the one with the dropship and/or traitor catapult). Doing that gives you an alternate version of the mission you're describing. In that version, the combine has fucked off, and you discover the reason the Dread Legion betrayed the combine to begin with: That boat holds a star league cache. In the alt last mission of that campaign, there's no such exchange. Why would there be? You both know why you're there. This isn't about the combine anymore, this is just about a huge payday that's too big for the both of you. There's no one left to betray, no bribes big enough to make the other turn back, no words to be exchanged. There's only the cache, a huge payday for whoever gets it, and death for whoever doesn't. Winner takes all, loser dies in the dirt.
IAMELIPHAS really? Never tried... So it's the same boat mission but without the betrayal offer message right? And what about the payment? Omg I want so bad to go back in time and play this game for first time again
Yeah, same boat mission, except no betrayal offer and no combine help. Plus there's a cache inside the ship you have to inspect. Although it _says_ you don't get any payment out of it, you actually walk away with 5mil c-bills, PLUS some very high tech weapons.
OMFG thatr was some of the best dialogue in the game. I seem to recall the Draconis guys getting terse when I looked like I was gonna take the offer saying somn like "Hi there Merc 1 (or whatever) this is your employer...?"
Works with the Modern Warfare 2 radio too. You can replace certain names with 'Mechs if they share similar names. Sounds like a fight against either Taurians or Capellans.
@Sanguivore Luna Saying PGI has an agenda involving politics implies they have anyone with more than 2 brain cells in charge. Their only agenda is to do as little with the IP as possible while keeping it away from others.
All this guys music or remixes are incredible. I was playing Mech 5 recently and like others in the comments said, if this music was in the game, it would automatically make Mech 5 a 10/10.
This is top, great to hear the old MW2 music getting love. MW2, GBL, Mercs, and Interstate '76 all lived in my car for years so I could play the music while driving.
Warning! Lyran scout lance coming in hot! Forward elements report it is indeed a scout only lance! 2 Hauptmanns with one Atlas and a Fafnir! Classic LCAF scouting tactics...
*Scouting* for other factions: send in a light lance to gather information... *Scouting* for the LCAF: send in the heaviest lance you have when they expect a light lance gathering information, and maybe gather what's left...
YYYAAAAASSSSSSSSS. Your Mech 2 Mercs covers are probably my favs of your work (your take on Freedom Fight is killer). Remember watching the closing cinematic that has this track and getting chills.
Great work as always Tim. I've been listening to your stuff at least every couple days for years now...And always mute Battletech's OST, while playing a mix of yours. Thanks for doing my single favorite track in the Mechwarrior games as well.
Old comment, I know, but BattleTech's soundtrack was just "meh" for me... There were one or two songs that I liked but they got old after a while. I put on the MW2 OST for the final mission and muted the in-game music. That was the right call, gave it a lot more gravitas
Already supported once for the first album. Is there a second album confirmation? Would be absolutely pleased to support this CONTENT in order to get moar. Need moar.
Remember there is a Battletech tabletop game. Your experience is not complete without it. In 2018 they revamped the tabletop so miniatures are top quality and other materials are great too. No more cheap miniatures and cheap materials. There are 2 flavors: * Battletech beginner box. 2 greatly sculpted plastic miniatures (Griffin and Wolverine). Simplified rulers for casual players. One two sided map. * Battletech a Game of Armored Combat (BaGoAC): Standard rules. 54 pages of rules. 8 miniatures. Commando, Catapult, Locust, Thunderbolt, Wolverine, Shadowhawk, Battlemaster, Awesome. If you find the standard rules intimidating, look for "Battletech fan" youtube channel. There is a visual guide that helps to see these rules are common sense to turn your tabletop into a simulator. With beginner box you move and you destroy mech armor. With standard rules you have critical hits, heat management and one great feature... Phyiscal attacks. Wanna jump on top of another mech, punch and kick or use a loose arm from a damaged mech or a tree to hit another mech.
@@Andrewlik 2 things happened. Global shipping crisis disrupted restocking for Battletech and many other tabletop games. And also warhammer 40k migrated in masive flocks to Battletech.
Is this the start of a new album or EP perhaps? Incredible work as always. You really revitalize the MW2 OST, so much so that I much prefer your work to the original.
"Children of the Bear, hearken to my words: Be always vigilant. To them a debt is owed, repaid through loyalty undying and character unflinching." - Oath of Acceptance Clan Ghost Bear
The trumpet could stand to be a bit more distinct-the blander tone worked well for the original because it was practically lo-fi to fit on the CD with the program-but otherwise freaking excellent.
Nope. Ghost Bear was still around. Mad cat Mk2 was Davion Civil War vintage. That means that the Ghost Bears were still around but in the process of leaving Clan Space.
Ghost bear insignia on the legs, so it can't a catapult (inner sphere mech) Looks like t-wolf. Look for the Timberwolf-timothy seals video. Good song and you'll see many different versions of it
That's a Mad-Cat Mk2. It is a 90 ton assault mech with a gauss rifle in each arm, 4 ER medium lasers underneath the cockpit and two LRM 15 launchers on the shoulders. It was not in MW2-Mercs, i think it made its debut in MW4-Vengeance.

Now THIS gets my LBX20 in the upright and locked position.
How’s the choke on that thing?
Playing this with military radio chatter overlaid in another tab is a great background ambiance for a game of tabletop battletech.
I went and did this and holy hell are you right. BF3 radio chatter + this is like "READY TO WAR" music
Works with the Modern Warfare 2 radio too. You can replace certain names with 'Mechs if they share similar names.
Sounds like a fight against either Taurians or Capellans.
Why PGI didn't hire you to do some of their MW5 music I'll never know. Great stuff dude.
@Sanguivore Luna I would just say out of touch and cheap bastards.
@Sanguivore Luna Saying PGI has an agenda involving politics implies they have anyone with more than 2 brain cells in charge. Their only agenda is to do as little with the IP as possible while keeping it away from others.
Because mech 5 is allergic to quality
Currently making a mod with this music so...either way, you get the money.
Because it was not good enough.
Reactor online. Sensors online. Weapons online. All systems nominal!
i was looking for classical music and found this i like this
welcome to battletech, friend
Well, it IS a classic. XD
The original is so classic, untouchable territory. And You still delivered quality. :) My trashborn heart is ready to fight again.
I'm ready to fight for the glory of Rasalhague Dominion.
Started video with expectations high, standards high.
Started listening.
Sir, you fail...
At disappointing.

Piranha Games needs to hire you.
MrSleepy677 I better be hearing the Timberwolf remake on my first dropship landing in MW5!
With the music of Timothy Seals, MechWarrior 5 gets more awesome.
Best music ever
Next to NieR Automata's soundtrack, no offense.
Fun fact: there's a mod for MWO that adds a bunch of these songs. It's a night and day difference.
ITS BEEN SO LONG!!! I THOUGHT YOU HAD FORGOTTEN US!!!
now we need to figure out how to support him? Twitch? Patreon? something! XD
I'm willing to hand money, but I also would like to buy the Bred for War EP. Shame NGNG Store went down.

Great stuff. Love the slow build up into that surge 😊

You have got to do a remix of the entire Ghost Bear's Legacy soundtrack. Would really love to hear that soundtrack remixed in your style.
Götterdämmerung translates to "Ragnarok". Amazing. :D
Well, more literally, "Twilight of the Gods."
Glorious, thankyou!!! My MW5 mercs playthrough's immersion factor has just tripled with this in the background!
