Looking good. I have been using the “Scottish” rust coloured ballast on my layout. It us important to clean the ballast away from the track/shoes so that you don’t have the grinding noise
@@charlie1872 I think I'm going to have a wee "track cleaning session" soon, as the amount of wee works I've been doing has definitely gotten the tracks dirty!
@@TheScottishModelRailwayGuy I have the old Triang track cleaning wagon and I add the Isopropyl to. I also have the track cleaning stone from Peco. Think it is important to keep all the wheels clean but that is a bigger job

@@charlie1872 I use eee alcohol wipes and a lot of "working it", but I agree the wheels are a nightmare!
