Well, Ray Allen and Cassell wanted the Bucks to keep Glenn Robinson and the "big 3" intact, but George Karl had long groomed Tim Thomas to replace Robinson at small forward. His biggest growth stunt was his refusal to play PF in Milwaukee. George Karl wanted Tim Thomas to be the starting PF. The Bucks already had Cassell, Allen and Robinson. Thomas would have been the STRETCH 4 (which is popular in the NBA today).
Crazy to look back and think just how much talent that Sixers team had and the Bucks as well. A.I, DC, Stackhouse, Joe Smith, Jimmy Jackson, Tim Thomas.... not to mention Eric Snow, Tom Chambers, Aaron McKie and Theo Ratliff... damn! Then in Milwaukee you had Sam Cassell, Ray Allen, The Big Dog, Tim Thomas, Tractor Traylor ( R.I.P ) and Ervin Johnson as well as Terrell Brandon, Tyrone Hill and Del Curry... A lot of talented players on those teams. Especially guys like Derek Coleman, Jerry Stackhouse, Joe Smith, Jimmy Jackson, Glenn Robinson and Traylor who never really "reached their full potential"
Players from the 2000-2001 Milwaukee Bucks who won a NBA title.... Lindsey Hunter (2002,2004) Darvin Ham (2004) Glenn Robinson (2005) Ray Allen (2008,2013) Sam Cassell (1994,1995, 2008)....
When players like Ray Allen and Sam Cassell known for their work ethics and multiple time NBA champs on top of 3 or 4 of the teams he played are all saying the same thing, it's not rumors. I was a fan of his too but he should have been better, You said it yourself what happend despite 10x the god given ability then most - didnt work that hard, got a little overweight, shot too many 3s and wasnt a guy that was liked by his teammates- that isnt the fault of 17 games in philly, just happened to be so talented that he had a pretty decent pro career
Thomas and Allen were actually two of the NBA players I've ran into in person, and what the were doing was kind of indicative of their personalities. I saw Allen at the theater watching Titanic. I saw Thomas at the gas station buying OJ and condoms.
Tim was nice one of my favorite Knicks...I’m just made we couldn’t accomplish nothing... I also think he should’ve re signed with Phoenix he was doing great there
Nice video I'm looking for Tim Thomas high school games/videos, also when he played together with Kobe and Hamilton. I already got the dvd of the McDonald's game with Thomas. Can anybody help?
TT had lBJ level ability. He basically could grab a rebound, push it himself and score to tune of at least 8 to 10 points a night. Dude has always been my biggest what if..
Stunted growth, watch you think of my boy Rasheed Wallace, was his growth stunted? Obviously he won a ship with my pistons in 04, but I honestly believe he could’ve been a top 10 player in the league but only averaged 14 pts and 7 rbs. Keep up the good Work tho
Tim had so Much talent and skill Ray was right Tim could've been the best in the league if he wanted to be I think teams should signed him too 1 year contracts every year lol
To say someone should skip college is drastic. You develop maturity, build an education, develop socially away from home, learn to work in a system, hone your skills. Tim Thomas needed college like all the other greats.
The famous Tim Thomas contract year rule is so popular between players, that even him being retired from basketball long time ago still makes him a well known basketball player between the fans, lol, for the wrong reasons.

Especially guys like Derek Coleman, Jerry Stackhouse, Joe Smith, Jimmy Jackson, Glenn Robinson and Traylor who never really "reached their full potential"
man Tim TNT Thomas could have been a monster
Players from the 2000-2001 Milwaukee Bucks who won a NBA title....
Lindsey Hunter (2002,2004)
Darvin Ham (2004)
Glenn Robinson (2005)
Ray Allen (2008,2013)
Sam Cassell (1994,1995, 2008)....
Wasn't Vin Baker on that team? Or did he play for the Sonics
KVH "not wanting to play with the brothers" may be the funniest thing ive heard in a while LOL
Pause at 2:58
Steven Jackson, Kobe, Tim Thomas and Jermaine O'Neal

Thomas and Allen were actually two of the NBA players I've ran into in person, and what the were doing was kind of indicative of their personalities. I saw Allen at the theater watching Titanic. I saw Thomas at the gas station buying OJ and condoms.
He showed up for my Lakers when he played for Phoenix
That clutch 3

Tim was nice one of my favorite Knicks...I’m just made we couldn’t accomplish nothing... I also think he should’ve re signed with Phoenix he was doing great there

Very smooth and really liked him in Milwaukee a special talent definitely kinda like Derrick Coleman to me but DC got a little more focused on stardom
Do Larry Hughes
I'll never forget it was ray Allen that got Flip Murray out of Seattle on when Ray was hurt and Flip was holding it down.

Nice video
I'm looking for Tim Thomas high school games/videos, also when he played together with Kobe and Hamilton. I already got the dvd of the McDonald's game with Thomas.
Can anybody help?
Best 2k cards of all time
TT had lBJ level ability. He basically could grab a rebound, push it himself and score to tune of at least 8 to 10 points a night. Dude has always been my biggest what if..
Pls do on jermaine oneal
Stunted growth, watch you think of my boy Rasheed Wallace, was his growth stunted? Obviously he won a ship with my pistons in 04, but I honestly believe he could’ve been a top 10 player in the league but only averaged 14 pts and 7 rbs. Keep up the good Work tho

@Kevin Hicks Rasheed and Tim are the 2 biggest wastes of talent in NBA history, though I am a little bit more understanding of Rasheed's situation.
Tim had so Much talent and skill Ray was right Tim could've been the best in the league if he wanted to be I think teams should signed him too 1 year contracts every year lol
This channel is soooooo dope!!!!!!!!! 💯🔥🏀🏆🐐
As a kid that bucks team was a super team to me. Cassell, Ray Allen, Big Dog Glenn Robinson, Tim Thomas.
To say someone should skip college is drastic. You develop maturity, build an education, develop socially away from home, learn to work in a system, hone your skills. Tim Thomas needed college like all the other greats.
He still a legend for that shot he hit against the lakers.
Facts. Whole series he balled!

Have you done Mark Macon or Korleone Young?
Tim Thomas is the NBA's version of the NFL's Ryan Fitzpatrick: chasing the bag but not bringing home the groceries

I try to do the eskittahbrah thing at the beginning but i aint got it right yet
The famous Tim Thomas contract year rule is so popular between players, that even him being retired from basketball long time ago still makes him a well known basketball player between the fans, lol, for the wrong reasons.
Can you make 1 for Chris Walker?! Top 10 hs player/ Florida gator
Imagine if the Sixers had Stackhouse & Tim Thomas w/ Allen Iverson & Mutombo in the finals...

Yoooooo. What ever happened to Lester Earl? He’s one of the guys guarding Tim Thomas during the McDonalds all American game in a clip you showed. A lot of folks may not know him but this was my year/group. I played against Tim Thomas When I went to DeMatha and played for them. I played with Joseph Forte too and Keith Bogans. I think 🤔 you did a story on one of them already.
You guys were at the tournament in Raleigh, NC if I am correct.
@@Belburg It was Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Yup. Was a huge tournament at the time. Maybe it still is. 🤷🏾♂️ Baron Davis was there too as I recall. Seems like forever ago. lol 😂. I haven’t touched a basketball 🏀 in years. Where did you ball at?
@@thenewgunguy4870 Lol, just the playgrounds, my man. Didn't have the height or desire to play high school ball. Went to high school near Winston Salem North Carolina, ACC country. But kept up with a lot of the preps in that era. Remember Forte and Bogans as well.
@@Belburg Nothimg wrong with the playgrounds at all. That’s where the ballers are. 😉 Basketball 🏀 is a beautiful sport. Still fun to watch it. It brings people together. Good to meet ya. I take it you’re still in NC? Michael Jordan country. It’ll be crazy if there is ever anyone better than him one day.
@@thenewgunguy4870 @TheNewGunGuy Thanks, and good to meet ya as well. Yeah, still in NC, and you are right, if there was another Michael Jordan. There is a lot of talent out there , especially here, but it will be a long, long time if ever.
Do one on marcus fizer out if iowa state
my boy i see you jc we got to get billy owens on here
Hoopers know
Yes , Billy Owens and John Williamson out of LSU
@@rickiefn1 I say Kenny Williams from the Indiana Pacers. Every bit the equal of Kemp, Mourning, Owens, and Roberts in the Class of 88 prep stars.
Can you do some content on coaches and gm’s that didn’t want a player and how their selfishness could’ve stunted a players career ….
Tim was my guy!!! His growth wasn’t stunted
