I have a video idea. How about a video on basic tools that should be in your skate bag or that all roller skaters should have. I love your videos Indie
I am an experienced rollerblader, I always have every alenwrench and screwdriver size that I need in case something falls off of my skates, or something breaks. I also have duck tape, zipties, gauze and water. Each and every one of those things have saved my butt multiple times. Also bring your shoes with in case it starts raining.
I've been a blader since I was 9. I recently tried on a pair of roller skates last month and boy....WHAT A CHALLENGE! I almost ate shit a few times and just wasn't feeling it. I'll stick to my inlines for decades to come ❤
It’s weird bc when I tried roller skates last year, balance felt so off. Because the wheels are so flat to the floor maneuvering felt restricted, whereas with inlines I can lean into my carves pretty far bc of the wheel alignment. Was also prone to slipping and falling backwards bc there’s no wheel support underneath the heel. With inlines you could put all your weight on the heel and you won’t slip and fall backwards bc the wheel protrudes out just enough past the heel. It’s weird!! But funny bc the cons to either quad or inline skate is a pro for the other lol.
Eveline Pullins good luck! Roller skating is great too, don’t get me wrong! I purchased some Lollies and actually got the hang of them for 5 months, but had to sell them bc of my previous ankle injury💔💔. So bummed but I need a stiff boot.
I’m a figure skater and tried rollerblading for the first time and I tried used my non existent toe picks to stop (I was barely moving and I wanted to stand still and fell on my face)
Ohh noooo 😂 I feel like I’d do that. I just got inline skates to practice ice skating since the rinks are closed and I’m too scared to try them. I’m watching a bunch of videos about how to stop and stuff and let’s hope I don’t forget that inline skates aren’t ice skates.
As a rollerblader, the first time I tried “normal” skates, I was soo confused. Its kinda hard to retrain your brain 6+ years of rollerblading and figure skating
My friend who used to rollerblade tried my rollerskates on and she immediately said “these are so much comfier and easier I’m switching to quads” and she did lol.
I’ve skated in both . When you girls where coming down the ramp, reminded me of when me and my siblins used to go down the incline streets in Mexico zigzagging our way down. Never knew how I didn’t get hurt 😂
I used to Rollerblade when I was around eight or something. I stop using them for a while because life and they never fit me again, so I had to give them away. Now I bought a pair of Roller skates from Moonlight Roller.
@Daina Harris Their skates came with heel brakes they just don't have them on. Why do you think you lose agility with Snow White inline skates? They're figure skates, if anything you gain agility compared to standard inline skates
@Daina Harris what? you can absolutely plow stop on inlines. in fact i think plowing works a lot better on inlines than it does on quads because you can lean into it harder.
@@Breadman8454 never heard it called a "t bone stop" o.o' we just usually call it a T-stop because your feet are in the same position as the letter T tho i have t-boned a parked car on rollerblades to stop before lol painfully embarrassing experience... the whole block came outside to see what happened cause it made such a loud noise

@Daina Harris to me, the feeling of moving on roller skates is more similar to the feeling of moving on ice skates, but ice skates definitely require more balance than roller skates

Hey, don't mind that question, but do you know where to get rollerblades similar to these in the video? bc I only find ones with really big wheels and a lot of plastic around

Also, I realised that any move or trick I learned on quads can be naturally transferred to inline skating. But the technique I learned on my blades isn't necessarily applicable to quads 🤷♀️

I am so used to inlines from when I was 12. I decided to try quad skating and I am so glad I found your channel 😭 for some reason i having difficulties in doing stopping and turning. Thank you!!
Omg when you said "that episode of catfish with the medium" i know exactly what you're talking about. That was the freakiest thing ever and i still think about it all the time!
I was born rollerskating, then I went ice skating in the galleria-it was easy to ice skate, then I had to go to rollerblading because at one time, that was all that was avail and before internet even existed. Now we can order rollerskates online. I hardly found any difference between the three. For rollerblading, I use the plow stop, turn around stop, or my version of on the ground powerslide, or just go into a cannonball. I did see the stairs, but if they are close together, you can skate stairs in rollerblades. to carve, skate on the edges of the wheels, inside/outside edges. Oh, one last tip from an idiot (me) never go straight down a ramp on the beach with sand at the bottom. I made that mistake in Galveston. I thought oh what is the big deal about falling on sand-a very big deal the lifeguards thought i was going to have to go to ER. Actually I learned carving from both of you.
I rollerskate everyday and rollerblade nealy everyday, and the only time i find a difference is doing the tricks. but standing up and just rolling, I am not finding a big difference in any of the three.
I grew up with inlines and so I'm used to the brake being in the back. When I started using skates the brake being in the front was awful for me. Made me switch back to inlines
You guys transitioned so nicely, I started on quads when I was like 8 I think and then I hated it so a year later I got my first pair of rollerblades and I’ve been rollerblading for about 6 years now.
Watching this with my Depression and the Break up with my boyfriend in the Last two days.. this Video make me Smile.. Thank u🧡 I needed this positive vibes
I really love your new vlog style of videos. This one made me laugh and I really needed it. It's also awesome so see you try inlines. I have all sorts of wheels now, artistic quads, moxi jacks, snow white inlines, aggressive inlines, trying to learn dancer longboard stuff. I feel the most confident on quads but its fun trying other stuff!
So reading the comments I realized that I am not alone. A lot of others who only do inline or only learned to do inline find it really hard to learn how to roller skate with regular skates. I wonder if regular skates are actually harder to use because in the video it really didn't take long for them to figure it out whereas I don't even know how to move forward on roller skates. Or maybe they're just quick learners.
Beautiful view... I have done them both. I like roller Blading more. The comfort of Rollerblading depends on the boot. I like a softer lightweight boot. Thanks for Sharing.
Those skates are SO CUTE. I tried learning to skate on quads when I was little and just never could do it. Don't know why. The minute I switched to rollerblades I could finally skate and still use them to this day.
for me it was the opposite :D I couldnt even stand with inlines and got so unmotivated and never touched skates again. but a few months before I got some quads and omg I'M MADE FOR THESE BABIES!! I'm happy you found what's comfortable to you ^^
i've been inline skating for literally as long as i can remember, and just recently got a pair of quad skates and it makes me feel better better about how noobish i feel on quads seeing yall act the same way as i do but on inlines. which is not to say you're noobs, but that they're different skills sets and being good at one doesn't mean being good at the other ^^'
As an aggressive skater/blader I enjoyed watching this video. It's kind of refreshing seeing other people riding inlines and getting the hang of them instantly and just cruise around. As a kid I grew up with both Skates and Blades so I found that some techniques can translate to both, such as my personal favorite turning move that I found works on both, called the half-sail which I use for sharp turns and the full-sail which I use for wide turns. While I don't expect people to take a pair of quads to a skate park, the experience is totally different on quads rather than inlines. On quads I felt that I had little to no resistance and wobble effects after tricking and landing back on the ramp. Where as on blades I came close to falling 90% of the time.
I feel reminded of when I was riding horses which are very well trained and understand weight-shift cues, while others need strong leg-aids. Similarly, roller skates are so interesting to navigate because they react to any shifting of weight. Whenever I switch to blades (ice or inline) I miss that element. Back to quads again, I miss the speed. Let's take the best of both worlds.
I ride on blades quite alot one tips is: •If you dont have no back brake and if you want to stop pivot your blade since you cant stop like on skates (hope that makes sense)
I started on in-line and I found those easier. But I had already skied and figure skated for multiple years. I will say roller skating is a lot more fun
11:52 You can get artistic inline frames as well. I'm gonna be getting a set soon with an Edea Overture boot and Snow White frames, and because they're meant for artistic skating, they have toe picks on the front Edit: And then you immediately mention Snow White frames XD
I recently bought inline and they were surprisingly easy you see I grew up in skating my parents did it and both my older sisters but they only did quad so I tried inline and I love both!
Learning how to skate after blading, ice skating, and skiing my whole life was CRAZY. Center of gravity is totally different. Roller skating is all about body weight and angle, but roller blading is all about the feet. Your body moves, sure, but you kind of can just point your toes where you want to go.
Stop just speed up and swing ur feet to the side. Sooo, like when you do the stop in roller skates where u drag one foot, except kinda with two feet and really quick. I started on roller blades, but they make ur feet hurt much sooner. 😅😅 I'm glad you've used the Impala skates tho. They're so cute. Thank u
If your feet are hurting you likely need to strengthen your feet and ankles, if they still hurt then they don't fit correctly or aren't good quality. A good fitting inline skate should be comfortable all day
The frames are called snow white frames. I cant skate inlines but when i master roller skates, imma get moxi skate boots with 70stiff snow white frames Edit: moxi ice skates with a stiffness of 70
Thats so cool! I want to get snow whites with edea boots. But there are not a lot of review videos of them out there though (cause i want to use them for ocf ice training).
I was literally so confused this whole video as to why y'all thought it was so hard or weird to use inlines, but then I realized I had the same reaction to roller skates. But you guys got the hang of it really well unlike me where because I'm so used to inline I don't know how to move with roller skates. I can't roller skate I can only use inline. I've been using blades/inlines all my life so I always thought inline was easier.
I got my skates for Christmas and I love them! It is definitely worth all the money. I used to have old skates and when I wore the new ones I saw a huge difference! In my new blades I feel like I have so much more control over where I’m going. If there’s anyone thinking about getting the Impala rollerblades I definitely recommend them!
When yall were talking about the raft, I felt so bad, I could only imagine the struggle! Looking into moxi skates, but my parents are hesitant, from the price and If i were to hurt my self , since I'm a cheerleader it would be hard on my body! In fact today I was supposed to go from cheerleading, but i went roller skating with friend a few days ago, and injured my knee very badly!😬😥 Still trying to convince!!
ik this is kind of a bad tip, but if you don't want to get injured as badly i would suggest doing workouts to make your body stronger such as squats for the legs
You actually have a MUCH greater chance of injuring yourself in cheerleading rather than roller skating. Also, if you're a flyer, you should already have good core strength and balance - both are needed in roller skating. If you plan on skating outdoors, don't forget to get some pads. However, if you have a rink nearby, you're even less likely to seriously injure yourself, even without the pads. Wood is hard. Concrete is harder. Get the skates and get rolling! :)
@@snwvpr3298 That isn't a bad tip at all! I broke my ankle 15 months ago on quads AFTER derby practice was over. I've spent the last year recovering and strengthening my legs and joints. Lots of leg and core work involved for injury prevention!
Kyndall Loret ayyy I’m a cheerleader too! I got Rollerskates for my birthday but my parents hated me using them in the lead up to nationals! I’ve had way worse injuries from Cheer than skating though. Obviously both are dangerous but I think cheer is more so.

I'd been skating on quads forever, but I can't skate on inlines for whatever reason. Last time I used inlines I went too fast and ended up somersaulting onto someone's lawn to slow down. :D
I (currently 20 almost 21) started rollerblading when my oldest brother gave me some blades that didn't fit his gf(at the time) and so since I was younger I rollerbladed and 1 month ago I got blades and oh boy was I missing out. It's soooo much easier but I will always stay with my blades. But I will add that I busted my shit on the skates quite a few times lol
Out of curiosity, the last time I checked, the Impala Inlines came with a brake you could add to the back of the skate. Was there a reason you didn't use it?
I can do both at the skatepark. I've been down almost all the ramps I can go on on my roller skates. I've been on my inlines 5 times now. Just keep practicing and you'll be there in no time!
Damn, I wish our roads are as safe as other countries. I live here in the Philippines and I'm really interested in rollerblading but if I do, I'll instantly die the moment I step onto the road 🤣
Ahhhh those inlines are so cute and stylish! (I haven't even watched the vid, but I've been ogling over the rollerblades since the preview you posted earlier!)
rollerblades tend to have a break, but it's in the back, and it's only in one of the boots (you can use that boot on whichever foot feels more comfortable) you need to lean that foot back a bit and the break starts sliding across whatever floor you're in and makes you stop, you may fall backward, but you get the hang of it i did some research and the skates do come with a piece you can add if you want, maybe you guys don't have that part but if you didn't know-

I use to rollerblade a LOT in middle school it’ll be interesting to see how I am on roller skates as an adult😅
Same girl, same
Definitely getting guards and pads- no shame!!!
Same! I just ordered some inlines this week. Imma see how next week goes when I get them lol
😼😼😼😼😼😼😼😼😼😼😼😼😼😼😼😼😼😼😼😼😼😼😼😼😼😼😼😼😼😼😼😼😼😼😼😼😼😼😼😼😼
You’re never too old for them!!! Don’t ever let that stop you from roller blading
6:06 “Indy, MOVE!!” 😂😂❤️
hahahhha this made us lol too
Me, an inline skater, seeing the title: oh this is gonna be FUN
I am so used to inlines from when I was 12. I decided to try quad skating and I am so glad I found your channel 😭 for some reason i having difficulties in doing stopping and turning. Thank you!!
Doing a t-stop would be one way to slow yourself down. That’s how I do it at least.
Jesse Hunter but you’re wheels get really damaged
At 9:57 she seems to perform one.
Ya I always t stop or use the Tdrag to speed check
thats how i do it, but it completely wrecks your wheels lol
U can just keep rolling it will be faster but when ur trying to stop without brakes u have to put weight on ur skates ro stop
I've always been a blader and I'm going to try skates for the first time soon and I'm so excited to see how I like them!
Same here! I’m kinda nervous seeing all the comments 😭
Good luck! Tell me how they are x
My dad is an amazing teacher and he reached me to roller skates I learned how to skate really fast
My right roller skate had a brake at the back of it :>
Mine to
I grew up with inlines and so I'm used to the brake being in the back. When I started using skates the brake being in the front was awful for me. Made me switch back to inlines
You guys transitioned so nicely, I started on quads when I was like 8 I think and then I hated it so a year later I got my first pair of rollerblades and I’ve been rollerblading for about 6 years now.
same
I would love to see you try out those rollerballs from the 90s that we’re just two big balls for wheels.
The fact I can only use blades makes me laugh 😂😂
As a rollerblader this is the funniest thing I’ve seen today
Same lol
ive been rollerblading since I was 7, so its like second nature for me, but when I first tried out skates I was absolutely awful
Watching this with my Depression and the Break up with my boyfriend in the Last two days.. this Video make me Smile.. Thank u🧡 I needed this positive vibes
Skating and sweating helps too^^ ˗ˋˏ♡ ˎˊ˗
I cannot believe that they literally got use to them in a SECOND. It makes sense though
Beautiful view...
I have done them both.
I like roller Blading more.
The comfort of Rollerblading depends on the boot.
I like a softer lightweight boot.
Thanks for Sharing.
AKIYIAKELLY thanks for your comment. Can I ask... how does the FEELING compare when skating vs blading? Like how do they each feel?
Danielle Rodgers - roller blades feels like ur on ice skates and ur ice skating and roller skates idk how to describe them but they’re fun!
Is it easy to keep balance on roller blades?
@@Hayat-iq5sf for me it is
Those skates are SO CUTE.
I'm happy you found what's comfortable to you ^^
i've been inline skating for literally as long as i can remember, and just recently got a pair of quad skates and it makes me feel better better about how noobish i feel on quads seeing yall act the same way as i do but on inlines. which is not to say you're noobs, but that they're different skills sets and being good at one doesn't mean being good at the other ^^'
Exactly!!!!
5:20 I thought my screen was broken
saamee
Yah! Pidgeon! Representing us married chicks who don’t keep up with the new hype beast brands. Yeezies? Girl we have budgets now.
I'm in love with these inline skates!
I ride on blades quite alot one tips is:
•If you dont have no back brake and if you want to stop pivot your blade since you cant stop like on skates (hope that makes sense)
“How do roller blades go down these” we just go 👁👄👁 we run into walls face plant and abt die BUT ITS FUN
True
I started on in-line and I found those easier. But I had already skied and figure skated for multiple years. I will say roller skating is a lot more fun
5:11 anyone have a problem where the screen basically went a bit to the side?
I’d love to try these! It seems like you could really get some speed on them.
Also just wondering- when will Moxi Beach Bunnies be shipping out?
Beep Boop honestly though. I’ve been waiting for weeks
Those blades are so cute! They made them sleek enough that they almost look sleek like skate, rather then the classic bulk blade ankle.
11:52 You can get artistic inline frames as well. I'm gonna be getting a set soon with an Edea Overture boot and Snow White frames, and because they're meant for artistic skating, they have toe picks on the front
Edit: And then you immediately mention Snow White frames XD
I recently bought inline and they were surprisingly easy you see I grew up in skating my parents did it and both my older sisters but they only did quad so I tried inline and I love both!
I never have but I'm about to make it a family thing that we will all suck at together. I can't wait to skate with my offspring lol
I thought inline skate would of been just as simple as roller skates so I bought inline speed skates and I'm learning how to use them
Pigeon I'm with you, I'm 21 and I don't know what a Yeezy is or if I'm even spelling it right lol
There’s something about you guys suffering trying to get good at these is just so *satisfying*
I started out roller blading and now because of you two I got roller skates. Ive been loving them!!
I love Pigeon so much!!!!!!! She literally told everyone on the internet that the day she carved hills and taught us how, she sexed Jacob!!! ICONIC
Lucy Grayson sexed?....
Andrea Plays haha yeah ik lmao
Usually inline skates have a heel stop.
they bought stunt inline skates i have no stop tho
I wanna cut off my stop. It's so annoying
@@andrommedaa you can take off the wheel and it comes off with it and then u can put the wheel back on without it
yea- I use heel stop to stop my roller blades and do some trick (I also wanna try figure skating since roller blades almost similar with it)
The look pigeon gave the camera when indy skated down the ramp, lol
Learning how to skate after blading, ice skating, and skiing my whole life was CRAZY. Center of gravity is totally different. Roller skating is all about body weight and angle, but roller blading is all about the feet. Your body moves, sure, but you kind of can just point your toes where you want to go.
5:57 she turns effortlessly after they talked about thinking you had to pick up your feet lol
A good fitting inline skate should be comfortable all day
@@kreaturaes8223 ahh yes. I realise. ☺️☺️ Mine weren't the best quality and I have to wear compression bandages around my ankle.
Thank you though. X
@@venusalexa7367 I just didn't want others to be discouraged from inline skates if they seen "they make your feet hurt sooner" 😊
@@kreaturaes8223 ahh yeah. That's true. Thank u
You’re literally so underrated
lauren🦋 I like ur pfp 😂
The frames are called snow white frames. I cant skate inlines but when i master roller skates, imma get moxi skate boots with 70stiff snow white frames
Edit: moxi ice skates with a stiffness of 70
Thats so cool! I want to get snow whites with edea boots. But there are not a lot of review videos of them out there though (cause i want to use them for ocf ice training).
Are you saying they are using snow white frames?
@@kreaturaes8223 wdym?
@@ArtDesignHD i follow some people on ig that have them.
@@kreaturaes8223 no. Thats not what i was saying. I was responding to indys question
I'd love if you did a comparison between these and roller skis!
I want that shirt, Indie 😁 I keep checking the site for it.
I skate both inline and quads. I prefer quads these days for sure 😃
Bryana Alyse sameeeeee
I'm an inline skater my whole life and just started quad skating so this is funny 😅
I loved this! I’m trying to use quads inside of blades. Quads have so much more movement in them then I’m use to!
I'm brand new to all this. Quads are the classic style, with two wheels next to each other in front and in back?
I got my skates for Christmas and I love them! It is definitely worth all the money. I used to have old skates and when I wore the new ones I saw a huge difference! In my new blades I feel like I have so much more control over where I’m going. If there’s anyone thinking about getting the Impala rollerblades I definitely recommend them!
Is 4 wheels or 3 wheels good? I'm gonna buy one so which is better??? Pls someone tell me and why it's better
I have never even seen skates with 3 wheels 😲
can you do a review of the inlines more so than inline vs quad as in on this brand of the impalas
I was planning to if anybody asked me, so stay tuned :)
@@INDYJAMMAJONES awesome thanks so much!
Yes please!
When yall were talking about the raft, I felt so bad, I could only imagine the struggle!
Looking into moxi skates, but my parents are hesitant, from the price and If i were to hurt my self , since I'm a cheerleader it would be hard on my body! In fact today I was supposed to go from cheerleading, but i went roller skating with friend a few days ago, and injured my knee very badly!😬😥
Still trying to convince!!
ik this is kind of a bad tip, but if you don't want to get injured as badly i would suggest doing workouts to make your body stronger such as squats for the legs
You can go to academy they have roller blades/skates there but they are ugly but they do work!
Kyndall Loret ayyy I’m a cheerleader too! I got Rollerskates for my birthday but my parents hated me using them in the lead up to nationals! I’ve had way worse injuries from Cheer than skating though. Obviously both are dangerous but I think cheer is more so.
I had the captions on sOo I ended up reading:
"the difference with rollerblades and roller skates are *-pigeons-* "
and
"going down okay your *gravy pigeon* "
Because of you and your channel, I (I'm an inline skater) started roller-skating and I love, love, LOVE it! Love my Chaya’s. Love this Sport. Love the Fun with that! 🌸💕Thanks for that!
In 5:12 my screen black and coming side why??
THOSE BLADES ARE SO CUTEEE
Damn, I wish our roads are as safe as other countries. I live here in the Philippines and I'm really interested in rollerblading but if I do, I'll instantly die the moment I step onto the road 🤣
Ahhhh those inlines are so cute and stylish! (I haven't even watched the vid, but I've been ogling over the rollerblades since the preview you posted earlier!)
Right?! They look so darn cute it really makes me excited to try them
Them saying they have to lift their feet up to turn
me who just went onto a roller rink yesterday turning on a single foot-
rollerblades tend to have a break, but it's in the back, and it's only in one of the boots (you can use that boot on whichever foot feels more comfortable)
you need to lean that foot back a bit and the break starts sliding across whatever floor you're in and makes you stop, you may fall backward, but you get the hang of it
i did some research and the skates do come with a piece you can add if you want, maybe you guys don't have that part but if you didn't know-
Trying to have a new skill. What should I invest first between tge two?
I guess there is no right answer, get which looks more cool for you
So I’m Australian n I have inline skates and they come with one break on the back of one of the skates and to turn u put one foot infront
The downhill montage was exactly what I needed in my life 🤣
My cat is laying on me while I’m watching this so I’m happy
i bought my fist par of skates because of your videos!! since i got them 3 weeks ago i’ve been skating everyday! thank you so much for your videos!!
Keeping it fun and positive. You’re awesome Indy Jama Jones. Let the haters hate. You’re a wonderful force!
