    You have grown so much since I first stumbled across your channel around 2017! So much of Life has changed. I truly regret not jumping on to the chance to joining you on my art journey rather than letting all the distractions of Life crowd out my life’s desire as an artist. Now I am legally blind and can barely see the letters and images on my call phones keyboard! It’s so frustrating! AND it’s infuriating to consider all the years that I wasted being overly sensitive to the opinion of others in my life telling me what my art should be…😢 I’m going to start going to a new eye specialist next week and I’m hoping for the best possible outcome 🙏Perhaps I will be granted to do what I have loved from childhood and not allow anybody or anything rob me of it again. Keep drawing and painting to your heart’s desire. You are an Inspiration! ✍️

    It’s great to hear that you have inspiration pics/examples that are years old. I always struggle with the idea that I haven’t done them and wonder if I ever will because of the “life” thing getting in the way. That was something I needed to hear thank you.

    The outline of the sketch and the depiction of details appear very natural and smooth, without excessive embellishment, but can make the viewer feel a strong sense of reality and three dimensionality😆😘😙☺🤭🤗😝🤐🤨😐🥲😙🤐🤨😐

    When I was in high school, I had mad skills with a pencil, it was the ONLY thing I had back then, and it took me decades to overcome the habit of thinking surrounding the way I projected my thinking into a subject, now, I wish I had some of those skills back...

    Andrew , do you seal the finished drawing once finished to prevent smudging please ? The technique you use here is how I draw... defining mid darks and mid lights first ..Thankyou.I'm always inspired. I tried to join the Academy but due to joining at wrong time of my financial week, up date was inclined. I will try again next week .

      The main reasons are you can get your pencil mega sharp using a blade and sandpaper. Secondly it means you do not need to sharpen as often compared to a regular sharpener. You can use the pencil more like a brush too.

      Same with photographing people. As long as it’s in a public space, it’s ok. I do it often in coffee shops. However, If the subject objects, then I stop, out of courtesy.

      @@jamesgill2875 Thank you for your support. The thing I liked about drawing people in public is that you never know when they would change positions. This helped me get the essentials without over thinking it.

    • @thedraft115
      @thedraft115 2 місяці тому

      I dont like photographers for that exact reason if im the only subject in their photo and they are a stranger it creeps me out,some people just are uncomfortabe being part of a personal drawing for someone they have no connection too it seems weird, I would be questioning what its for just incase.😬
      To improve more accurately and check for improvements my advice would be to draw people you know so then you can compare older drawing to recent and always have the same person to see if the resemblance has improved👍
      you will learn so much more and atleast it wont be relying on a stranger that may mover as you draw them.
