Hey Andrew, I'm not a regular watcher but I check in every so often. I've been spending my years digitally painting but there's been this urge to do trad. Yet I found no pen and paper combo really worked out for me, I never quite liked the textures or the values or the styles. Nothing felt natural. That is until I see you whipping out the blending stick like this and my goodness THIS is what I've been desiring in my heart for ever so long. I'm a very blended, rendered kinda guy and it's just a great match. This video alone has essentially given me a traditional drawing life, and I love charcoal like you wouldn't believe it. Just a big thanks, this solved a big problem in my life and I want to express my gratitude for it. Bless you!
I have to say, you are the artist I've learned the most from on UA-cam. Thanks so much, your approach and techniques are always so stretching and make me strive to keep improving. Blessings my friend!
Love to see the same subject matter featured in previous oil portraits resurface here in the drawing series! So interesting to see the comparison of approach between the two mediums. Awesome stuff as always, Tisch 🤙
Hi Andrew! ❤ I look back many times when you made these ❗ I also like your drawings, but your paintings are what really grab me! I always look forward to your new painting videos ❗ do you like painting more?
Se que es un canal en Inglés, pero me cuesta escribir en ingles. Tus videos son muy buenos, te felicito y espero que sigas subiendo mucho contenido siempre aprendo algo nuevo.saludos desde Argentina.
Hi Tisch Joined your academy and also bought the book by Loomis for head and hands. Seen other artists refer to it and your reference clinched the deal for me sending for it. I’m mostly an animal artist but do like a landscape or portrait for a change but find a reluctance somehow to start a different subject. Hopefully your academy will change that but have already found your UA-cam most helpful. Thank you
❤- i always learn a lot from your videos. And i've beeb folloiwing for years. Thank you for sharing- do you have diwnloadable videos one could buy. From Europe- Denmark 😊
I have trouble understanding how Loomis works for ordinary faces which aren't divided into his idealised thirds. It can steal away someone's likeness. Does it still work if we move the horizons to match the person. What if they have one eye higher than the other? I can draw mostly recognisable people, albeit in a clunky fashion, I just can't grasp applying Loomis to irregular or non-average people.

Great vid. What is the name of the paper / sketchbook you’re using for this?
Only graphite is enough for finished artwork? is it worth like a main art medium?
Wow❤🎉
💯✅️💯
nice❤❤❤❤❤
❤❤❤
what kind of pencil are you using?
❤
Whats the sketchbook?
I can’t find the “ link below”. It doesn’t show up on my iPad
Hey Andrew! Greetings from India. What happened to your voice?
does anyone know the model of the gold graphite lead pencil that Andrew is using (around the 10:10 mark)?
Looks like Caran D‘Ache to me, but I‘m not 100% sure.
Like you Sir, not one
