    Hi Samantha ....
    You are looking great 👍
    It's good to know how things are going and that you are thriving as a "Stay at home " Mum ! And baby is doing well.
    Please continue to wear your PJ'S as long as you like - by gum you've earned it after all you have gone through !
    Are you coping with snow at the moment ? We have just been told we could get some winter showers next week
    which is a pain in the neck as it's nearly May .
    All the best to you and Gray and the little 👶🧚‍♀️
    Love Janice 🇬🇧 xx

      Thanks! We got some new snow a couple weeks ago but it’s all melting now. Right now we’re just dealing with mud, which is wayyy worse than snow in my opinion

    With my 3rd baby, it hurt for 6 weeks! I would be in tears. But it subsided and everything was fine! He was a hard sucker and would drain me in 10 minutes, 5 minutes on each side. Maybe that's why it was so painful. Good for you for persevering!

      Maybe so! My pump has 12 levels of suction and she’s probably at a level 20-something haha

    Kids aren't on the horizon for me just yet, but it's good to know this sort of thing going forward and I'm sure it'll be really helpful for new/mums-to-be!

    Once again a very informative video. You offer up the your experience with breast feeding in a very relaxed and concise manner.
    As always great job on a sensitive subject.

    my only child (daughter) is 42 now. i am a research scientist and stayed at home with her until she started kindergarten at age 5. we moved to ‘burbs to buy a house and it was tough being away from city friends and work life, but i knew that would all be waiting for me when the time came

    I was told I shouldn’t stop using my left side (this side is the one with the lumpectomy and radiation treatment). I was told my right with get infected and engorged and it wouldn’t be good. My baby doesn’t latch at all on the left. The nipple won’t extend out much at all and my baby has so much difficulty staying on and gets irritated. When I pump NOTHING comes out…just drops. My right has so much.

    Good afternoon, my wife has stage 4 hormonal cancer with metastasis to the liver and back, she started taking kisqali 600mg, she completed the first course, did you have metastases? Are they leaving or not? Please tell me how effective it is

    • @SamanthaL
      @SamanthaL  Рік тому

      Hello, my scans showed no evidence of disease before I started taking kisqali. My metastases were treated with radiation first because it was just in a bone. While I was on kisqali, I did not have cancer return. Sorry I can’t help with your questions very well

    Hee, I am never placing messages on UA-cam, but I have a question. I am 28 years old, no children and in the middle of breast cancer treatment myself. If you had treatment on one side and breast feed with the other side, do your breasts change (visual/sensible) compared with each other?

    • @SamanthaL
      @SamanthaL  Рік тому

      Surgery affected how it felt but it started to gradually get back to normal over time. There is still scar tissue there though. Radiation obviously has its side effects (mostly burning) but that goes away faster. Like I said in the video, the noncancer side grew in pregnancy and during breastfeeding so it is now a lot larger than the other side. I’m not quite sure if that answers your question so let me know if you want more info!

      Thank you for taking your time to answer. I am also curious if this size difference will stay long term, but I guess time will tell. I wish you all the best. So hopefull and nice to hear stories like this. Greetings from the Netherlands!

      @@SamanthaL lastly, did you have to stop all cancer meds prior. Or do you have a video about having stage 4 and being/becoming pregnant.

    • @SamanthaL
      @SamanthaL  11 місяців тому

      I did stop all my meds before I got pregnant. This video might be helpful: ua-cam.com/video/RXdZHABTGL4/v-deo.htmlsi=F8QVt85zvxL-TUhn

    Why did you get only a lumpectomy instead of a masectomy, i thought masectomy was compulsory for bc patient's

    • @SamanthaL
      @SamanthaL  11 місяців тому +2

      I have another video on this topic but basically 2 reasons. First, a mastectomy is shown in certain situations to be just as effective as a lumpectomy. Second, my cancer was stage 4 already so removing all the breast tissue didn’t really make a difference since it already spread to other areas in my body
