Thank you for sharing your experience with DIEP flap reconstruction. I am 3 days post op and still recovering in hospital. It's a tough recovery, but it's manageable and I'm getting better day by day. By the way, you look great! It was comforting to watch this video. Thanks again ❤

Thank you! It's been a long time and I probably need to do an update video, but I think I had a bit of trauma from the past 2 years.

So good to hear from you! You were the first account I found after my mom was diagnosed and I was so grateful to find someone going through the journey she was about to go on. Gave me so much hope so thank you so much, I can't thank you enough. All the love!

Great update. Thank you! So glad to hear you are okay. My DIEP flap surgery is scheduled for 6/26. Could you make a video of things you took with you to the hospital? I’m thinking phone charger, etc. thank you in advance. I’m very nervous.

Good luck on your surgery! You won’t need much due to being unable to move and being attended to by nurses every hour. Phone charger is a yes. That’s prob all I brought. If someone is coming and staying with at the hospital, that person may need items but that’s it. I rewore the outfit I came in so I didn’t even bring a second set of clothing.

I do not eat keto and did not during chemotherapy. I just had keto granola but ate everything in moderation.

Hi! You’re back! So did you have tissue expanders in since completing treatment? I hope your survivorship continues to free and clear from treatment ❤. I made it and am going for implants. No cancer is easy!!!!!

Hi there. Yes, I had tissue expanders on both sides. My left side got it during the first mastectomy (Dec 2021) and the right side got it during the prophylactic mastectomy (July 2022). Both stayed until diep flap phase one surgery.
