      Yeah I was confused by that too. And they called the police to set up self defense? Kinda hairy as they could have just left the apartment I mean granted we don't have the full police convo and it varies state to state ofc. But then they fired shots and dismembered 2 bodies with what? Saws? All without drawing any notice from the rest of the hotel?

    • @AbsolutionArmament
      @AbsolutionArmament Рік тому +35

      Gunshots are not that noticeable or recognizable to people outside a room, others will simply play it off in their brain as stuff being moved or dropped if they do hear it. Coupled with a hotel where most don't want to deal anyone else business. That how house shootings normally go if you want to look into it. (Also think most old homes don't have insulation between the inner room walls, Where a hotel would further adding to a reduction.)
      For the example of house shootings the was a instance of a domestic case in a subdivision with an active neighborhood. There was a instance where a marine got back from a deployment and the wife served papers on him for a divorces to shack up with a jodi. According to the official statements guy tied up the wife and shot the jodi, then planned to set fire to the wife. she manages to get untied wrestle the gun away from said marine then shot him as the house was burning down. While this is a transcript of the official statement. I knew a PMO (MP) that had arrived to the scene afterword's when questioned the statement didn't match what she told the locals. But being low down on the pole he was basically told she was stressed and was getting mixed up, not to worry about it, as locals did the rest. Side note article didn't say it, But when she was tied up the marine shaved her head and said "I'm sending you to back to the rest of the pigs". Since the divorce wasn't finalized she kept the honors and benefits as a military widow, Base access, Health care, and the cash death benefits of her husband (A min of 500k), a few other things. I was still stationed there a few years after and last I heard she had moved to another house near by and was still staying near the base.
      EDIT: I was not trying to go that in depth on an example but it just shot up in my memory. But yeah, Gunshots even in housing developments are not that noticeable as one may think.

How many couples get murdered again because of visiting another couple? One out of 50 Million maybe? What's the chance to be run over by a bus in front of your apartment? 1:100000 maybe at any time. I tried to find some hard evidence on this, but I've come up short. I had a history teacher years ago who told me that in the 80s/90s(?) some SEALs in Coronado got so upset by the drug situation that they would wear balaklavas and raid crack houses with bats, taking all of the drugs and money and destroying it, while beating the dealers to near death. Apparently the SDPD caught on to it, contacted the guys and basically just said it's enough, and the case got shoved away. Like I said, I haven't been able to find anything on it, but he was a history teacher from California.

    Loved the video; outstanding research and there's that soothing sounding voiceover(dude love your voice)that sh*t is next level.. but, they are not "Serial Killers." There were no series of murders. Doesn't fit the definition of serial killer. Could possibly have been, but they were not. "This Navy SEAL murderer was insane" better fits the title. Sorry for the semi-negative comment, I just expected to learn about some Navy SEAL I'd never heard of going on some kind of mass murder spree that never hit the public. Taking the IDs etc, that's definitely the sign of a trophy, but they got caught after their first. Love your work, just normally your titles are 100% what I'm about to learn about, this time it wasn't. Never heard of this case before, but they're also not a serial killer. Still, great story telling as usual.

    This would-be SEAL's military service shows us a few things:
    Nearly anyone can persevere through even the toughest military training, even those who lack good judgment or the social maturity to remain contributing members of society. Even fully qualified SEALs and other highly trained personnel may become criminals. Look at the two SEAL Team Six and two Marine Raider jackasses who were convicted in the killing of SSG Melgar, a Green Beret.
    The military generally filters out those who prove to be unfit for society, much less the military lifestyle. Socially inept people and criminals tend to be unable to adapt to the rigors of the service, though admittedly some thrive in it. While Sifrit never even became a qualified SEAL, there are some senior enlisted and officers who are only caught and punished after reaching high levels of responsibility. Often they get caught only after victimizing subordinates or vulnerable people such as children.

      This is a very true and sound statement.. Have you served? I've seen several and heard about many "retirements" stemming from relations with an 18-20 year old private where consent didn't seem to be. (Not that consent even makes that relation legal in a military environment either) /w an officer or E-7+. Also seen a SGM piss hot on a drug test and walk away scott free. Also played golf with a brigadier general who got drunk by hole 4 and needed to be escorted off the premises by hole 9. (on base golf course btw, mandatory "fun" day) and I personally slept with my OIC as an E-6.. We are married now though and have a 13 year old daughter. She gave up her position, and I finished college. Now I'm the bread winner with a CSCI degree, and she is a stay at home super mom. The military is all kindsa fked up and there are all kinds of different people. Every single walk of life you can find in the military. There are gonna be some shady people, and there are going to be genuine people. There are ex-cons, and there are real life super heroes. More often than not though. People are honest, hard working, and trying to better themselves. Most join for this reason. The military isn't perfect, never will be. Some people get away with sh*t others don't. At the end of the day though, they're still the ones putting their lives on the line for all of us sitting at home. Can't judge an entire entity because of the mistakes and stupidity of the few that go under the radar and pass with malicious intentions. As a whole.. even though I'm disabled now, it was the best experience of my life. I learned so much I met so many kinds of people and was humbled, I met the love of my life. I found purpose when I had none, and now I have a life I can be proud of.

      @@avaynemain8705 I'm a retired E7 who somehow managed to remain married to the mother of my five children despite living apart throughout most of my time in the Army. When I reported to Recruiter School 14 years ago as a young Infantry SSG, one of the first things I did was pick up the Fort Jackson newspaper. There were two former Drill Sergeants in the courts martial reports, both had slept with Trainees and a former SFC was busted to SPC while a former SSG was busted to PVT. I made a vow to keep my integrity and rank while assigned as a Recruiter, and though 1000 miles from my family I never fell into the temptation to get involved with anyone. The temptation was there, and some of my peers fell for it, but I stuck by the book. About four years after my recruiting assignment I found myself on Drill Sergeant orders. I did my time in an all-male battalion, but they had the first male/female Integrated classes while I was on Sand Hill. 2-19 Infantry (the first to conduct coed training) supposedly did it right, with battalion leadership that took care to ensure that their first female integrated company was successful. They might have made it look too easy, as 2-58 was the next in the chute and they had a rather well known scandal. All of Sand Hill was shook up, as uninvolved 2-58 Drill Sergeants were sent to other battalions while those same battalions were forced to give up Drills to reestablish 2-58. Their battalion leadership and some company leadership, not to mention the Drills involved, were fired and otherwise punished.
      The military is composed of people from every walk of society. My first battalion CSM was found guilty of having inappropriate pictures of children on his government computer. There were rumors that it had been planted, but his career was over regardless. When I was a Brigade Victim Advocate a Ranger qualified Captain was found guilty of assaulting a female. I wasn't privy to the details and honestly hadn't even heard about it until I saw it posted on the UCMJ board. Even working directly for a Colonel doesn't negate Victim privacy or need to know. That same brigade went through a few CSMs. One was caught abusing his wife at a military ball, another was fired for drinking on duty, and a Delta operator who needed to fill a Brigade CSM billet while waiting for a JSOC assignment to open was fired for allegedly striking another Soldier. A SGM I worked for afterward who'd happened to be the HHC 1SG at the time told me it was a case where the other Soldier lied but camera footage was dubious, costing the CSM his career.
      I've served with outstanding people and some who were not prime examples of military integrity or bearing. That chapter is over and I'm slowly adjusting to civilian life.

Below I posted a few incidents of former Navy Seals going from hero to felon. Not every former seal listed below was a murdering psychopath but turned to crime for one reason or another.
    1. July 19, 2022 -- Theo Krah: faces a minimum sentence of 15 years to life in prison for the 2016 murder of a Santa Monica man after a verbal altercation near the Pier. The beating and stabbing death took place on June 11, 2016 on the 1400 block of 5th Street, where police responded to a call from the Fire Department at around 5 p.m. reporting a man down on the sidewalk.
    2. Jan. 23, 2021-- Chief Petty Officer Tony DeDolph was sentenced to ten years in prison for the involuntary manslaughter of Staff Sgt. Logan Melgar of the U.S. Army Green Berets. The crime occurred in June 2017, in the African nation of Mali, where both men were serving in an intelligence operation. According to court documents, Staff Sgt. Logan Melgar, a U.S. Army Green Beret, died in a hazing incident involving alcohol and “frat-like” behavior as a result of the actions of two U.S. Navy SEALs―Petty Officer 1st Class Anthony DeDolph and Chief Petty Officer Adam Matthews―and two MARSOC (Marine Forces Special Operations Command) operators, Gunnery Sgt. Mario Madera-Rodriguez and Staff Sgt. Kevin Maxwell.
    3. March 2018--Thomas Mixon Austin bank robbery spree.
