Good video, you guys make it look a little easier than it is. If I had to do another tomorrow I would definitely do a better job. Still gotta take care of the electrical connectors and vacuum tubes tomorrow
Thank you sir as this is a good video as I have the same year truck and model (1998 Dodge RAM 1500) + the kit to do this with. Good you took the time to make this as as your video helps out immensely to those that need to do this 2nd Gen. RAM front axle Posi-Lock install! Thumbs up!!
Do you have to remove the cable mount to take off the electrical panel to get under your dash now? I just installed one today and watched several videos. Yeah the cable routing and adjustment after installation was the most stressful.
Hopefully someone can help me. I’m installing this now and I have the collar slid over to lock the 4x4 in but can spin the passenger tire while the driver side tire is on the ground. I shouldn’t be able to spin the tire if it’s locked into 4x4 right?
Thanks for the vid. I'll be doing this on my 2500 next week. I've replaced every hose, the actuator... and am still having vac issues with 4wd only. Tired of this system.
Thank you this really helped! Also I want to point out that where you folded your template, you folded it down instead of up which pushed your hole to the left which is why you were to far to the left. But this was very helpful
Good video, thanks for sharing. Ive been considering this setup, my 4x4 is not engaging, i replaced the transfer case switch, tracked down a few cracked vacuum lines, still no go. After doing extensive research i came across this. How is it holding up to this day?
So I just installed this posi lock In my 99 Dodge Ram 1500 is the gray vacuum line on the t case the only one that you plug...can I plug the red and black ones that I took out of the old actuator to or just leave them hanging

Did you have any problems getting the 4x4 light to work?

So all your doing is making your 4wd mechanical. Insted of vacuum powered
Pretty sure that bracket goes behind the trim

It's been fine, not much can go wrong.
@@bigmoosegarage8606 is it still working if you even still got the vehicle, thinking about getting one
I thought the cable should go around the front of the engine mount to flow smoother, I have one to put on my truck but no instructions
Excellent video, thank you so much.
Looks easy too do this video makes it better than others !!!!
Do all kits work the same way you made this so easy the others looked a little harder ?
What does that black switch do beside the bracket you installed?
Getting dark up there ? Must be 3:00 P.M. 😆😆good video.
Where did you get the kit?

You can plug or leave hanging,I plugged mine at transfer case and took all that vacuum line crap out.
Nice video will this kit work on my 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup?
Yep I installed it on my 2001 dodge ram
Thank you. Good video
Way better than the instuctions
Good video. At 24:47 I'd be concerned about the pumpkin wearing on the cable.
Medium temp blue rtv on threads?
I think it was supposed to be blue thread lock not blue gasket sealer
Can this be activated at highway speeds ?
No
I thought it could be. What is the difference between that and the vacuum ?
thanks for the vid.......
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Hey compa, pasa el link del kit no seas gacho
All you had to do was unplug the vacuum line from the engine block, and cap it off; duh.
That wouldn't put it in 4wd durrrrr
@@BobSmith-mg6iz Thanks for stating the obvious genius.
The line off my intake has multiple lines coming off it , probly why he capped the tcase.
