But listening to senator Kennedy is so satisfying, since he proves there actually exists politicians with something between their ears. There is no place in the court system (especially the federal court system) for activist decisions, .. especially when the judge has an ulterior motive for making their ruling. The law is the law period. Judges should base their findings upon existing law. IF the judge feels there is a reason for laws to be changed, .. they should contact the body of legislature/congress that has the power to make new or change existing law.

Lawyers are on average not highly intelligent. Engineers are typically much more intelligent than attorneys. A graduate with an electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering degree from a high-ranked engineering school could EASILY get a law degree but few attorneys could even pass a sophomore engineering class.

Female attorney here. ..... Argh....Good Greif. Motions pending for six months? Most Courts switched to video proceedings during Covid. . There was very little slow down in the two states that I practice in. In our state system (not federal) the administrative layer of the judiciary would have been leaning on the lower level judges to move their dockets. I am not a judge
but I know this first hand.
