I used to live in NM. I had to pay for something through the magistrate and was told to keep my receipt by a friend. Couple or so months later, I get a call to pay the fee. " Again " . I kept my receipt. A year or so later, my wife got a pricy speeding ticket, I told her to keep her receipt. She did and got a " reminder " to pay her fine. "Again ". She kept her receipt too.
