Hatsan Blitz air rifle jam problem fix

- As with any new technology there will be glitches and room for improvement. I am sure I am not the only one who had a jamming/failure to fire issue with their Hatsan Blitz air rifle. Thankfully, it was easy to fix. I should note that I didn't have the issue with my .30 caliber version, but only the .22 caliber.
Overall I would still highly recommend this air rifle. It is fun to go to the range and after everyone makes fun of you for bringing an air rifle, switch to auto and fire a 22 round burst making them green with envy.
What I did, because I thought it didn't have enough tension on it, so I took the screw out and counted how many the factory went past 12 o'clock and it was 3 times , so I went 4 times past 12 o'clock and it works perfectly now. If it doesn't stay fixed I will try your method, but I noticed my mag was getting chipped on the back side of the gears in the mag ,so that told me it didn't have enough tension on the spring. Thanks for greasing it and showing everything! Great job brother! 👏
Thank you so much for this video it helped my blitz so much I was about to send it back to Utah air I done everything you did in this video now it works like a champ
Glad I could help!
@@highervoltage5430 thanks for the video how much power /fps do full auto loose , if any?
@@silverbulletin846 - I haven't measured the power difference. I don't think it loses much since the air recharges in the cylinder really fast.
Thanks Alex I thought that you looked familiar from Video Aerial System I had seen in the past.
Alex great video and very helpful and informative video.
Thanks Again
Walter
Great explanations! Good job and yes, never gets old. 👏👍
a trick : you can watch movies at Flixzone. Been using them for watching lots of of movies during the lockdown.
@Jacob Javion yea, I've been using flixzone} for years myself :D
I bought a Blitz new amd ot did this. Took it back, they had another new one and it did the same. I stand to be corrected as they are working on the issue now.
I'll wait amd see. It bothers me that you have to add a fix or fixes to a weapon that has come new off the floor. Also I'm not practical so that is a challenge for me. But thanks for the video. I'll see what the guys come back with
Hi Alex, I am glad you have a new hobby just like I do. I also bought a Hatsan Bullmaster .25 and lately is showing this issue with magazine jamming. Can you please advise me on the grease I can use and if it makes any difference? Will Lithium grease work? Thank you and "keep your wings" flying/shooting :)
good video. all new tech even cars have problems. good I found your video! Thank for the clear explanation!
My .30 Blitz started jamming on full auto after the 3rd magazine. Now it won’t cycle more than 3 to 6 shots per burst. Fixes recommended in this video didn’t resolve the issue....... love this gun - the concept of it anyway - so I’ll send back to factory to repair or replace and hope for the best.
Check to be sure the nut on the magazine isn't too tight against the side of the gun. The magazine moves around a bit and the nut can jam against the side of the gun.
Also look under the fold out tab where the magazine goes, there's a hex screw there that is used to ensure that fold out tab doesn't lower too far. That fold out tab is used to hold the magazine up and snug in the breach. When the magazine drops down in the breach, the holes in the mag won't line up correctly. This info IS NOT in the manual. See this video by "MacabeSpeed" (ua-cam.com/video/FYcM4-_P2jw/v-deo.html) Go to 2:24. he describes the issue very well but uses a temporary fix. The real fix is under that tab as a hex screw.
Very good video.the best out there.can you explain the magazine jam of the legends mp40 co2 machine gun
I don't have one but if someone around me does I am sure I can figure it out.
I own the.30. Have not had it for long but having many little problems. Bolt action is very very hard to get in the open locked position even after lubing.
I cleaned everything carefully however i did not do the mag fix because i have 4 small and 2 big mags and all of them have the jam problem. What can i do?
Bro. Random question. Pcp tank is 10 years only per hatsan.. is it easy to replace or look for tank replacement?
So you only turn in past 12 o'clock 1 time? It has to much tension on it?
Where's your drone bro? I still have my Mad Mushroom from back in the day! You also have to clean your barrel each 500 rounds.
Depends on your ammo, but I find I can get about 1500 rounds before the accuracy starts to drop shooting JSB pellets. Thankfully, cleaning the barrel is really easy on an airgun.
Why gear oil ? Why not balistol oil ? Also is there any chance of O ring damage because of oil/ grease? 🤔
I actually no longer use gear oil. I switched to hydraulic oil for my air guns. Gear oil was causing reduced efficiency due to higher surface tension.
I bought the 25 cal. FlashQE jams every single time. Will the cart mod work on it's small 10 round cartridge?
Have one that ran fine with pellets , 30 cal. Run a few hundred pellets thought it without a glitch , well tried fx slugs , ran one clip and a half of another and it stopped and it want run single , simi or full auto now , trigger seems unresponsive to anything now could this be the same problem or should I say fix ? Any help would be great love the machine !
Hi. My hatsan blitz doesn't jam, it won't fire when selecting full auto, do know how to fix it
Shouldn't have to do all of that on a brand new rifle, especially at that costs. Factory engineers should incorporate these fixes into the manufacturing process. I don't know, maybe they do after a while. It's a head ache for the customer in particular those that do not care to go thru all of these fixes.
This is the first of its kind so there are going to be issues. I understand that this is a first generation and I am sure that future rifles will be better. That stated, after the fix, this gun has never had an issue.
Hi I just purchased the hatsan blitz in .22. The magazines have a ton of tension. Do you think they did something new and different to the new magazines?
Hey I love ur antennas ❤
Oh snap! It's the VAS guy!
What kind of Oil are you using
I really like the hatsan blitz’s but I can’t make up my mind to get it
Oh I see, I think I will try it out thanks for replying..
Hi I have .30 hatsan blitz but in semi Modus rifel shoots in automatic Modus. I have this Problem , it is Impossible to shoot a single pallet. Anybody a idea for this?
I'm about to try this. If it doesn't work I will be sending back. I think mine is having the collision issue. It will shoot all day on semi, but in full it shoots about 5 rounds. It also does this without a magazine or a round in it when dry firing on full......
You might have the other problem: the hammer speed issue. This is a lot harder to fix. Basically what happens is the hammer is sent back into the spring and begins going back down before the bolt has a chance to move. The hammer contacts the bolt and stops it from firing. I don't have a fix for this problem, currently, but I can look into it as it seems pretty common.
Thank you
@@TheLovedr79 - I did a little research and was able to jam my gun up on full-auto by simply using a thick oil in the mechanism. What I found that worked great was synthetic 10W40 motor oil in the bolt mechanism. Take the 5 screws out and remove the side plate as well as the barrel part in the front. Wipe out ALL grease and oil. From there place a VERY thin coating of 10W40 or 10W30 motor oil on all of the parts and reassemble. Also wipe the barrel clean where the piston moves and coat that in a VERY thin coating of motor oil as well.
THANK YOU!!!! I actually sent it back Friday. I got a RMA and a shipping label from them. I'll definitely keep this in mind if and when it happen s again
@@TheLovedr79 - Glad they sent you and RMA. Just be sure to pack it up well. Maybe separate the stock from the rest of the gun so you can put it in a smaller box. It is only held on by one bolt after all.
Thanks for the advice. I didn't know that
I will try this on my Invader too.
Hey buddy! I just came across your channel and see your very educated on batteries so I'm hoping you can help me... on my bicycle I want to install 4 turn signals just as flashers not to run continuously as driving lights. So I know they are 12v but if I take say a milwaukee 12v battery to use... as it looses power I'm guessing the voltage drops and it will not run the 12v flashers as it goes below the 12v's.....correct? so what kind of small battery can I use that will last a 12 hour bike ride for 4 flashers. I guess they are around 10-20 watts each. I need a battery that is rechargeable and IM GUESSING it would have to be regulated to 12v even as it drains? Does this exist? And help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED
DO you know the load (wattage) of your lights? 20 Watts at 12 volts is 1.8 amp-hours. Thus, you will need 21.6 amp-hours at 12 volts to run your lights for 12 hours.
If you could only have one, which one would you pick, the .22 or the .30?
When i spoke to my favorite online retailer.. Not naming names 🐪.. But he said that the .25 is the way to go,cheaper pellets than in the .30,and more pellet choices available, more than enough power to do small game hunting in the semiautomatic mode... And not break the bank
@@wascalywabbit In .22 there is wáy more choice in pellets and slugs than in .25/.30.
H&N has a nice line of different slugs in .22 only.
Depends... For hunting, .30 caliber all the way. For plinking, .22.
I use hand pump...and didn't know that you have to fill fast so the valve close fast to seal the air from coming out
Are you training for the Olympics? Hand pumping this would take an hour.
I use a pump too, so the reason why my blitz does not fill is because the valve is not closing? That hissing sound coming from the bolt is the air leaking? Omg. So how did you solve this problem. Im still at zero bars.
@@luisGonzalez-mk3xp - Cock the gun back and lock it. The hammer is resting on the valve holding it open.
Great tips.
Thanks.🤠🇺🇸
What is the purpose of drilling the other hole? My gun is back ordered. Good to know.
Same concept of fixing old marauder mags. The new hole allows for repositioning the spring, which increases tension, allowing the mag to cycle faster.
Thanks. SomeGuyOnTheInternet for the info.
@@producersteve1330 - I love your screen name!
@@highervoltage5430 thanks, I picked it out myself!!!
@@Edwardjonez I agree 100%
Now it fire good at semi auto.at full auto I have to fire semi first then select full auto..if I select full auto first it will gam first shot. Don't know why...but don't really mind as long as it fire.
Seems like it needs to be cocked between switching between semi and full. But it could lead to a double fire which can cause ricochet. So be careful with this gun.
Do you have any problems with your hatsan bliz, when you switch from sema to auto
Not anymore. It used to jam after 4 rounds. Now it even works with a suppressor on the end.
I figured out why yours will not work in full-auto mode! There is binding in the mechanism that resets the bolt. Take it apart and clean up all of the grease and re-lubricate with 10W-40 motor oil. It should shoot well.
@@highervoltage5430 what’s the trick to making it run with a suppressor
anyone else finding the hammer very difficult to cock? I lubed all the places like in this video but the bolt is a REAL effort to pull when the gun is not ready to fire.
Tried this, unfortunatelly my blitz is still jamming in full auto each 3/4 shots. I also tried to enlarge a bit both the holes of the magazine (cover and body) but no success. I think it's wrongly engeneered and should not happen in a gun of this price. Sending back mine.
Shim the door for thew magazine with 2 sections of double sided foam tape.
@@highervoltage5430 Saw that solution. I sent back my blitz and asked for refund. 1000€ it's a lot of money for a failed project. Thanx for the hint.
remove the plate on the opposite side of the bolt lever as well with the auto mechanisms ,,,, the gun comes with the dirtiest grease I have ever seen so while I had it apart I removed and cleaned all moving parts and lightly re Oiled with a air chamber lube , (no more gritty sounding action) gun has performed flawlessly for over 1500 rounds at this point with a dissemble and re-clean few dry cloth barrel pull throughs at around 500 rounds
Sir where can I buy 10kw peak power electric motor kit
Golden motor has a decent 10kW system. The throttle response is a bit off, but it does the job. Upgrade to an ASI controller for better performance.
do not take apart the magazine . the spring unwinds if you do . you will not get it wound again to the same tension . the repair in this video has the spring at half the original tension . dont do it .
That was Hatsan's fix months after this video was published. The problem is that it is too much tension and causes wear of the magazine.
The reason they jam is because people are trying to shoot heavy pellets out of those mags. I have a 25 and have never had a jam. The easiest fix is don’t shoot heavy pellets or slugs. The lighter the ammo the better they were not designed to shoot slugs or heavy pellets. Simplest fox. Also you should not use gear oil. Airgun oil or silicone oil
Hey what happened to the electrical videos very good content the editing the explanations out of this world
Still coming. I haven't had as much time lately and this was an easy video to make.
Just one turn? It doesn’t seem to have enough tension with one turn.
yes, just one turn. It is pretty light, but it is enough.
Anyone have problems with getting their Blitz to even pump up?
SWEEEEET! NICE EYEBALLING OF THE HOLE. WAS WORRIED YOU WEE GONNA GRAB THE RAG UNDERNEATH. BUT NOPE YOUR NO ROOKIE YOU DIDNT PLOW THROUGH LIKE your first time LOL.
Thanks for replying. My james to much. But mine
You luckier then I am..i got 22 but leaking air through muzzle when filling air..brand new one..same day from FedEx...after about 4 months of waiting I got leak air gun.. so mad..
I had the same thing in my fill port. Thankfully, I had spare o-rings which fixed the issue.
This is the story of my life with pcp airguns. Every time I get one I need another coarse in pcp repair just to get the damn thing to work like it should of outta the box ! I'm getting so sick of getting screwed up Zero quality control PCPs . Whatayagotta buy a DayState just to get something thats not a POS !
@@johnaverick7468 - It is a common issue, unfortunately. Check out The Huben K1. They are absolutely incredible and send you a full seal repair kit. If it leaks, they have videos showing how to rebuild the valves with the included parts. Besides, the gun is absolutely awesome.
@@highervoltage5430 Yea , But I'm talking about AGs right out of the box brand new. Most of them Your Damn lucky if they will shoot 5 mags without something giving out or malfunctioning. Way to many don't work from the get go !
@@johnaverick7468 I think we are going through the same thing with air guns as we saw in the 1980's with vehicles. We are seeing a lot of innovative technologies which are not very well refined coming to market. Some are better than others, but many have flaws.
I'm thinking Hatsan should be watching this video.
We have just been made aware of its existence and do not support this method as a viable fix.
I don't think I would use anything that contains petroleum . Use a silicone based oil / grease only with a pcp . When you put petroleum under pressure it explodes ...or dieseling . Not good . Other than that great video
Which is why I do not put it anywhere near the high pressure parts.
utah air guns did respond to my blitz problems but they said it had to go back to the factory. i messed around with it and have it firing ok. not perfect by any means but at least i can shoot it. i would highly suggest a different gun. just not worth the hassles and loss of your money!!!!!
When it works well, the Blitz is awesome. However, the LCS SK-19 is a far better gun if you can afford the price tag. Another good one is the Huben K1. Those are the guns I shoot the most.
Note to self dont spend $1,000 on a new .22 pellet gun that doesn't work properly!!!
It is a first generation and thus problems are to be expected. Overall I am really happy with it. It is a blast to shoot and makes people with the most dressed out guns green with envy when they hear it go full-auto.
Yes, this cartridge mod works. Worth the time and effort. I've done it and also made a video after viewing Higher Voltage (ua-cam.com/video/7XQ8TU9pliA/v-deo.html). Works GREAT. Not only am I not having jams on the .22 caliber but the accuracy has also improved greatly. I think what was going on before was that the pellets were getting jammed into the breach too soon before they were correctly positioned therefore deforming the skirt. I also found that the "fins" on the wheel inside the cartridge were getting mashed by the bolt coming in too soon. Those should be cleaned up a bit after this mod. Those still having issues ... make sure you've wound the spinner tight enough. Simply placing the hole on the other side isn't enough.
Glad to hear it worked for you. I was pretty frustrated after the first 3 magazines had jammed up on me multiple times.
I have the. 25 and. 30. Both getting sent back. Tried your mods and made my gun worse!!
You had the bad catch problem, I see. It comes from the bolt traveling back too fast before the mechanism can reset. Hatsan should take care of it for you. If not, I can make a video to show you how to fix it... but honestly it is a manufacturing defect.
@@highervoltage5430 make a video, I'm a mechanic and always curious about internal parts of a machine I'm not familiar with.
@@hightidelowtide6380 - Remove the stock with the single hex bolt. Hammer is below the bolt (you can see it once you remove the stock). Remove the bolt by taking the rear stop out and check the pin connecting the bolt to the hammer below. If it is damaged or bent, you have blowback kicking the hammer back before the bolt can reset. This causes a collision between the two and jams the gun up. What happens is the hammer is thrown back by the air pressure and hits the spring. The spring then fires it forward before the lever catch on the side can stop it. As it moves forward, it collides with the bolt and causes the jam.
The easiest fix for this is to degrease the hammer and track and re-lubricate it and the slide with the thinnest possible coating of grease. This lets air pass by the hammer and slows its travel.
If that doesn't fix it, let me know. I will take mine apart and do a video on more advanced fixes. I got mine working so well that I even have a DonnyFL suppressor on it and it still works full-auto despite everyone saying it will not work with a suppressor.
@@highervoltage5430 appreciate it. I was sent another. 30 cal, but gave up on the .25 cal. The replacement .30 I have now has misfired about 8 times over 700 rounds. I can see the bolt damaging the red plastic on the mag. You figure hatsan would of fixed this by now-as this a new batch of rifles that just came from the manufacturer.
@@hightidelowtide6380 - If you are giving up on your .25, I would be happy to take it off of your hands. I figured out how the problem happens (binding in the mechanism). A little 10W40 motor oil in the mech in the front and at the bolt (VERY thin coating) did the trick.
too cool
Bro you need to invest in a lapel mic. I have you on a separately connected speaker and still can't hear you!
I have one. I should use it...
Clean the barrel what I would do
🇧🇷🇧🇷 JESUS AMA VOCÊS TODOS INCONDICIONALMENTE MUITO 🇧🇷🇧🇷
No..Olympic game, no money, and hand pump good exercise..some day I get 12vol pump
leave the bolt out and put oil on it
I do believe you are IBCRAZY,,,RC world,,, Is it you??
HatsanUSA does not recommend using any lubricants mentioned in this video. In order to prevent voiding your warranty, please contact us directly at service@hatsanusa.com, if you are experiencing any issues.
We have to use different lubricants because the transition piece between the drive rod that comes back from the barrel and the linear gear twists sideways and causes excessive drag and wear on the gun. I highly suggest welding that transition piece and the linear gear in manufacturing to make the gun more reliable and reduce the complaints people have about this gun.
what a piece of crap gun!!! called utah airguns where i bought it and that's the last time i ever heard from them again!!! lost my money on this super bummer gun!!! don't waste your money!!!!
What is wrong with yours? Hatsan has pretty good service and once the gun is set up, it works great.
We need 100 pellet mags for blitz
