Breaking the sound barrier with a Break Barrel (Gamo Magnum vs Crosman Nitro piston)
Many air rifles claim to hit velocities past the sound barrier (1080 feet per second). I want to know if that is true and if so, what does it take to do it.
Since nearly every .177 break barrel claims to be over 1100fps, I chose the cheapest I could find: A Crosman F4. I imagine any Crosman nitro piston will perform the same so long as it is single shot (multishots have a restricted port and don't shoot as fast). I found that opening the pellet skirt helped increase the velocity, but decreased the accuracy significantly.
The .22 is the Gamo Swarm magnum and it is a real pain to cock. Your arms will get sore cocking this one unless you are unusually strong.

Why (and how) to charge EV batteries individually for the first charge cycle
Переглядів 2,1 тис.3 роки тому
Because I didn't individually charge my batteries on when I built the bike, I ended up damaging a cell (I am not sure whether it was under-voltage or over-voltage). Thus, I learned this lesson the hard way. Thankfully it was only one cell and they aren't too expensive to replace.
Hatsan Blitz full-auto failure fix
Переглядів 18 тис.3 роки тому
In this video I investigate the cause of the Hatsan Blitz to fire repeatedly in full-auto mode. The harmony of parts is very delicate here and if there is any binding, including too much oil, or oil that is too thick, it will not function. If your gun fires in semi-auto mode, but not full-auto, this is likely the problem. While I am using 20W50 synthetic oil, 10W40 synthetic is ideal and 10W30 ...
12 Important lessons you will learn when building an electric motorcycle

These are what I believe are the 12 most important lessons a person will learn when building an electric motorcycle. It is best to learn these the easy way (by hearing it on a video) rather than the hard way (learning while building the bike). There are other lessons you will learn, and others that you might not learn (like the importance of a diagonal stress bar between the lower portion of th...

Hatsan Blitz air rifle jam problem fix
Переглядів 36 тис.4 роки тому
As with any new technology there will be glitches and room for improvement. I am sure I am not the only one who had a jamming/failure to fire issue with their Hatsan Blitz air rifle. Thankfully, it was easy to fix. I should note that I didn't have the issue with my .30 caliber version, but only the .22 caliber. Overall I would still highly recommend this air rifle. It is fun to go to the range ...

The best way to install a motorcycle fuel tank liner (Kreem or POR-15)
Переглядів 8 тис.4 роки тому
When it comes to installing a fuel tank liner, surface preparation is the key to proper adhesion. While the kits do work, this method has proven to work better and more easily giving more room for error. I got my phosphoric acid here: www.dudadiesel.com/choose_item.php?id=FGphos Denatured alcohol can be found at your local hardware store and dry gas can be substituted for isopropyl.

I installed this on an old 26" Giant Iguana bicycle with old style linear pull brakes (V-brakes). With the electronically assisted braking, I found the brakes were plenty adequate for this conversion. I used a 14 cell series lithium Ion battery for my tests. I made both a 2200mAh (~100 watt hours) and a 3300 battery (150 Watt hours) What you need to know: - You will need 30-35 watt-hours of bat...

DIY a better (and cheaper) long life motorcycle battery

In this video I am using LiFePO4 18650 cells to build a better battery for my motorcycle. These batteries last 7-8 years compared to the 2-3 of lead acid. I will be replacing all of my motorcycle batteries with these since the performance has been exceptional. If you want to make one for a car, I suggest 40 cells (4S/10P) and 48 cells (4S/12P) for a truck or large SUV.

I agree the only thing they should’ve put speed limitations on is the stuff for the kids the Ebanks, the electric bikes for the kids and the parents be able to control the controller so the parents could keep a limit on the kids and for us adults speed comes with responsibility so I believe that if you are old enough, you should be able to do whatever you want with your bike as long as you’re not putting other people in jeopardy when you are putting people in jeopardy it becomes a problem. That’s why everything has to be done the safe way.

Hey man! I'm really curious about your build. Notice this video is over 4 years old and I just built my first ev dirtbike last year! Your page would've help a bunch but now I am on building full street bikes. My goal is to build a vintage cafe racer with a fairing that can achieve about 160mph+. About the same speed and hopefully range as a 600cc. Any tips for battery location and motor location for balancing?

I started with a very nice excellent condition GZ250 frame and tires, and then gave up when I realized the batteries would make it prohibitively expensive. Ended up selling the frame, and later buying a 3rrd gasoline motorcycle. Back then I only knew about Lipos, and later I'd solder up my own Lion battery packs using 27000's for fpv quadcopters, but I still think the prices for these motors and batteries don't make it yet feasible to build an electric replacement for my grocery haulers. I only need a 60 or so mile range but still.

any chance you have an idea why my 72v 3kw system came with 2 relay flashers? and then why the system blew the signal flasher relay only 5 minutes after wiring it up? and awesome video. Getting, installing and programming my Fardriver sucked butt. I wish someone would make a literal pop and play set up with customising. Are those batts LiFePo4? and Prismatic just wondering? I also only use LiFePo4 batts due to their safe factor actually. But Alex keeps sending me the crappy pouch version even though I demand the Prismatic version and they refuse to return my money What is amazing is no one has bothered to jump in and start producing specifically, the parts everyone absolutely needs when doing this those people need tog et it in gear for us! Like Wiring harnesses, someone needs to simplify the turn signal break and running lamps, and head lamp set up coming off the wiring loom and make it so it does not keep dying and breaking down that would be helpful,
