BMW sticky door Handle - $0 repair

How to repair those sticky BMW door handles without spending a cent.
BMWs are great cars but require a bit of TLC overtime. In this video Id like to show you guys a quick trick on how to get that STICKY GUNK out of your door handle for free.

What do you think of your fix now that it’s been a year? Any regrets or thoughts of other ways to deal with this issue? Tearing all of the material off makes me nervous but I see that the problem just worsens over time.
