Same here, I wish you guys all the best and look forward to seeing the buildings go up. OH, and I will be giving the track a try when it's completed! Can't wait to see that feature :-)
Love your videos mate. Moving back to Thailand next month after a year away and these vids have given me the Thailand fix I’ve needed these past few months.
Going to Thailand in a couple weeks, hope to see you there! Pretty sure your content is the best when it comes to promoting Samui. So much attention to detail, and super informative. Hope to visit their office.
The folks in the office at Wing were really friendly and welcoming. Didn't feel like one of those "pressure sales teams" in the least. I'm sure they would welcome you for a tour. Here is the link to the form if you would like them to contact you to set up an appointment: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSf53tefEaNWSd28vr2SbhsI6-PUM_7T7HtqkmyCR5qbGmV8Jw/viewform?usp=sf_link Safe travels!
Ed, great video and great job finding and showcasing that place! Really valuable info for anyone wanting to move to Samui. Keep up the great work finding those hidden gems.
Hi Ed . My husband John 64 and me Mary 55 watch your videos religiously. The way you oroduce your video's is so professionally done. We watch a lot of vloggers advertising Thailand along with other countries but it can be a bit classrooms and text book chatter. Your video's are not only informative, they are interesting and full of wit and humour. You give so much of yourself. Its a pleasure to watch you. Just keep doing what you do best. We love watching you.
WOW, thank you, Mary. Reading comments like yours really helps to keep our spirits up. We strive for a balance of informative and fun to watch. Personally I want to just put a smile on people's face. Give them a little enjoyable break from the stresses of the daily grind, and inspire them to live their best life. Thanks to you and John for your support! E&T
Hi Carl, Just fill your data into this form and they will get in touch with you: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSf53tefEaNWSd28vr2SbhsI6-PUM_7T7HtqkmyCR5qbGmV8Jw/viewform?usp=sf_link Be sure to ask about the "buy back" guarantee. To me that really hooked my interest. Best of luck! Ed
I love Samui Island very much, and I will retire in 2 years. It's time to consider settling down in Samui . Your information is very helpful to me. If foreigners buy condos in Thailand, can they live for a long time?
"Can they live for a long time" - I think you're asking about visa's ???? If "yes" then there are many different options there but there are a number of factors (age, working status and sometimes nationality) Best to check with the Thai immigration website for more info on that.
Love real estate videos! Can’t help myself, real estate is an obsession….that I’m trying to free myself of. Is it a Western thing? Set down roots, be secured in a place? For the first time in my life (I have always lived in the one city) I want to be nomadic…I expect it will be uncomfortable at first but I’m excited to not be tied down to one place….we will see how it goes 😂 Thank you for another great video ❤
Driving this morning, on the mainland, a road I’m not familiar with and was thinking about someone who visited all the provinces of Thailand as an adventure. But when nearing the last few he got antsy, wanted it over. As I was on my way somewhere I I started feeling the same way and had to remind myself “it’s not about the destination, it’s about the journey. Slow down and enjoy the ride.” Change is of course jolting especially as we get older and more comfortable with the slow life but we are still flexible and I’m sure you guys will be more than able to adjust and enjoy your next adventure. All the best!
Thank you so very much for your information, in search of a nice retirement spot that I wouldn’t have to live on peanut butter and jelly sandwich… hell that is expensive too here in the USA… I like your advice and your kindness… Please continue to post more, your doing a great service to us dreamers that are trying to figure this retirement plan out…Blessings to you and your family…
Super kind of you, John. Various factors have influenced my hiatus from posting. None of which I will bore you with. I suspect that soon enough this busy period will wrap up and I will once again have the time and positive headspace to let the creative impulses come out and play. Your words ARE helpful and I thank you for them.
Foundation of all phase one buildings has been completed. Currently they are working on 3 of the buildings (I believe). I will keep an eye on the project and post an update as phase 1 gets closer to completion.
Not following? If your asking a question on raw data Google might give you a more accurate response but feel free to clarify here and I’ll reply as best I can.
Ed, it seems to be they're selling you the old "water is wet" marketing gimmick. Lots of condos in Thailand are available to be purchased by foreigners. You only own the airspace inside the condo, the Thai owners still own the land. Foreigners can't buy land here but they can build a house on land they rent. I know it gets more complicated with % Thai ownership for condos, but that's not a big deal apparently as lots of foreigners own condos in Thailand, mostly in Bangkok and Pattaya. Personally, I wouldn't buy one unless you can be guaranteed the Thai owners have a stable funded maintenance fund, but you probably will never see that. Thai people are very optimistic about the future and they don't plan like that. And to be frank, neither do Condo owners in America, they can't guarantee future maintenance will be funded either! That's why Condos go up in price more when prices go up and condo prices fall faster when real estate prices crash. Also, if you haven't noticed, Asian people in general like new construction. New condos, apartments and homes are always more desirable to buyers. Drive around any location in Thailand on a bicycle. You will notice about half of all homes are empty. Thai people buy the homes and then move to Bangkok for employment. As everywhere, it's easier to keep it empty than to rent it out to people who will possibly trash your property. Real estate here, as everywhere is very risky and not a liquid investment.
Thanks for your concern, We plan on being the best residence here in Koh Samui, so as your maintenance fund monthly is only around THB1,500 compared to the average of at least THB15,000 on monthly rentals, we don’t foresee an issue with collecting maintenance fund. 2.) Condos are a true 100% ownership, no one can take that away from you, the developer has given up the right to the land (there is no way it can be resold or restructured) A juristic body will handle all the maintenance as is common practice worldwide 3.) Even during COVID, there was no down turn in rental income as people will always need a place to stay Hope this clarifies your concern of the real estate market in general :)
I'm not sure I agree with you on this one Rocky. For sure if I was going to buy I would do my due diligence on the project (and lots of math - especially if I was thinking of renting it out) but the fact they offer a guaranteed 5 year buyback - that really does remove a lot of risk. AND if after 5 years the prices have gone up then one can sell using a RE agent and make even more money. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, none the less. All the best, Ed
Wing Samui Phase 1 is only for investment. You can't live there. Rent is split with the hotel corporation. Phase II lacks a pool. Instead, there's a tennis court to be used by a few people in the mornings and evenings. It's an eyesore, a heat magnet, and reduces green space. It was put there because it's cheaper to maintain. This project isn’t for me.
Wow, beautiful on your making programme. I like to buy home with a swimming pool (but I don't like grey colour 😮) .... I would love to buy home, but sadly, I have to marry Thailand man, as I am happy to stay single 😮😢 so I cannot own home in Thailand 😢😢😢
Thank you Ed it was a pleasure meeting with you ☺️

Koh Samui is one of our favorite islands not just in Thailand but anywhere! I hope to move there soon.
Yup, we very much agree! Best of luck on your move plans. For us it was a five-year plan. Took a while but we made it!!

If you are asking about the second property that was featured, it’s in Lipa Noi.
The project looks amazing! How about the process of the construction?

Yeah, nice location and great price for what you get.
Is Wing Samui pet friendly ie Dogs?
I think they are but you should reach out to them to double check.
