My hair is 5 feet long, I could NEVER. Culture demands I know how to traditional braid but oof, just 1 single plait takes me like 5 minutes and is a workout. LOL.

The way my mouth dropped open when he tied the two braids together and flipped them back to make a flower crown 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯 So casually dropping bombs like everyone knows that!! Do you know how hard I’ve tried my whole life to hold one braid with my mouth while braiding the other side and then trying to get them together without unraveling?! AMAZING.

I appreciate that you did them on yourself. Too many tutorials are done on someone else so if you're trying to learn how to braid your own hair it's hard to translate it to what your hands need to be doing while behind your head and you can't see what you're doing 🥰

Thank you so much Jonathan. I also have been thinking so much about how to do braids. My hair is quite thin, but I love the look of braids. During Covid my hair has grown out, so it's long enough to braid. Can you do some more with braids and ways to put your hair up in a bun. I'd like to leave my hair long, just because I enjoy long hair. But I want to learn how to braid it so that it looks OK. Otherwise my hair is too scattered. I'm sort of tired of having to wear short hair. Thank you so, so much. And thanks for showing us how you can braid your own hair. This is most helpful!

Oh my goodness! When I braid my daughter’s hair, I always have the problem of the fat middle chunk and the two short sides. It never occurred to me to divide up the fat middle chunk again. Mind blown! What a great tip! ❤️

This is such a great 101 for lost potential of styles for medium and long hair. I would just add the tip to not involve a mirror as it can just confuse your hands if you're beginning to learn. I really loved that you chose to work on your own head. Braiding your own hair vs. someone else's can be a whole thing! Love you 💙

I do kinda have the same length as you but a more curlier and dryer texture. Really wanted to learn how to do some easy braids for the summer so this video came in at the perfect time.
Especially how to do a French braid was top tier on my list as my grandmother used to to this for everybody when I was younger and I want to keep the tradition!

My hair is just about to my waist and I braid it every night and it takes such a weirdly long amount of time to braid it all the way to the bottom. I felt your pain doing that little braid in the front, lol!!
