And these are very conservative estimations not even taking into consideration the ad costs on facebook, bing or even the UA-cam ads.
Got a question for these guys; how do they declare their income? With numbers in the hundreds of thousands this will surely get picked up by the taxman and cannot say it is gained through imaginary currancy transfers. Do they use like fronts with made up businesses or?
I think that would be the case, you could easily setup a company with a corporate tax of either 0% or anywhere to 21%, keep the money in the company and make any purchases with the company, lease any assets to yourself. I don’t know if people are actually smart enough to avoid taxes like this though.
Most are set up as legit businesses, my “friends” company cleared over 7 figures last year with 10-15 employees on pay roll where everything is done in a legit manner with accountants taxes paid and all. Most people have no idea the kind of money that people make off of this virtual world and addictions to staking.
A while back I think Jagex already came to a fair compromise with their current in-game bond system. Players who want to purchase in-game gold with money can purchase a bond for about $6 or $7 and sell it on the GE and the other player can redeem it for membership. Even if all gold selling sites went away people could still buy gold through Jagex.

@@PastryMagicYT You missed the point made in the video where he stated Jagex has only started sending C & D letters because they are pressured from the government due to the gambling issues. Jagex doesn't actively seek out content creators and copyrighted material like Nintendo my man.
@@Bada2de Didnt say they do. Only that they CAN and asked if he had a plan if Jagex did so.
Came for the interview, stayed for the quest guide, left for the bank!
I'm confused on the part with bonds, why pay for membership when you can buy it cheaper with gold?
Enjoy the content brother keep it up
Arcus was my favorite
Did you interview the guy from Saw??
your shop is so cute!
You should do a video on Facebook black market groups
How much of the gold selling do you think is for money laundering vs. gp for in game use
Home boy skipped reading comprehension class EVERY damn week
Ouch, guess I'll just go back to bed today :(
I did some big digging with my people and so far we’ve found out jagex ended up buying the company out and shutting down under an agreement that the owner would not create a new one and be responsible for any immediate family if they started as well. This court stuff speculation is kinda funny after finding that out tho. You’re right jagex won’t really tell us anything.
Why would they buy it? where's the proof.
Because it’s faster to pay them to get them to stop and then get a NDA with the sale than it is to go through court and possibly lose because of the laws in the other country.
Post proof or dont comment.
Now I understand why people say video games cause violence because if you scam someone your gonna get clapped
I think jagex should remove the duel arena so we can see people actually earn the gold instead of buying
danny delgado Yeah... not a fan on that. The duel arena is one of the most exciting parts of the game and it also removes A LOT of gold from circulation via the tax system
Prince Of Opinion yeah but taxes is like 0.02
Hey crumb what else are you planning to add to the store like what other figurines *cough* vorkath *cough*
Kraken next (:
Cough kbd cough
@@Crumb hey crumb I saw a post on Facebook where it has exactly all the things you've made plus others like kraken callisto ohlm vorkath graardor
I purchased 30m from Bogla the day before the got shut down.
If Jagex gets their records, could I get banned?
Honestly i doubt it. They would go after other sites/accounts that have much higher gold traffic
Brandon Kruse hopefully
hmm hmm ok boomer
No you should be fine lol
Who's playing twisted league??
Honestly I think Jagex should just sell GP. If they took hold of the market it would increase their profits and they could have a better idea of how much gold is going into the game via real world trades. If they could gauge that they could institute some more gold sinks to offset and help the ingame economy.
Make an osrs where gp is replaced with crypto, and promote rwt.
I just fixed the global economy.
Blockchain games are actually in development now. Best idea is Decentraland IMO. Which will host other blockchain games on top VR land.
Idk about full replacement though... shit’s not cheap.
Why would they stop gold selling they’d lose 70% of the community if they banned everyone who brought gold
Goldselling is impossible to end. What is stopping sellers from using decentralized methods? Nothing.
YO! LOVE YOUR WEBSTORE! I WILLLLLL BUY SOMETHING. IM JUST BROKE RN.
Uses a tab when you could use the home Tele
Wd
Would a free trade rota work to help catch these accounts? Restricting which worlds free trade is available on pushes all of them on a few specific worlds which makes tgem more obvious? And at the same tine free trade is still a thing
there are still atleast 2 of these websites up that i know of, that people use often
Sweet, a new episode of.....RuneScape Under Belly! ✌️
Trying to drive empathy for gold sellers LOL.
bro, gold sellers need this shit. Its some peoples livelihood!
ive actually been seeing multiple black market services for os being advertised on here. one was for bot scripts and it was the most cringeworthy thing ive ever seen, the other one was a gold seller/buyer. just thought it was weird cause i haven’t seen any illicit rs ads since way back in the day. even then they were usually just banner ads but these were full blown video ads.
Great video but I cringed with you said "boogla"
I had a gambling bot owner tweek on me, cause i was reporting all the bots. He said he was gunna have my account hacked and banned. Lol iv reported so many bots, that i only see maybe 1 or 2 a week that i dont have blocked. G.e. is ruthless.
