Got hit with the "Bad Sun" event today while fixing a transformer (great odds!). I had my sleeping bag but couldn't sleep, but at least I was loaded with shrimp to drop off for the cats. I ended up going and doing something else while leaving the game running.
The terrifying thing about this is the fact that several times his brain tried to go out to see what was happening, despite knowing that it would start killing him, and despite him trying to fight it. I mean, at one point, his brain almost drove him outside at 21:51.
You should do daily tasks because if you perform well throughout the entire week you'll be rewarded with hundreds of points at once. Up to a thousand at once. You'll also have a higher chance of receiving awards that aren't just points. Plus...come on man they aren't that hard to do. The problem is just getting into the pattern of doing them every day however if you honestly get to it with having signals prepared or getting signals as soon as midnight hits then wait until daylight for going out to get hash codes and you will suddenly find you are having almost the entire day free.
Voices of the void is a game I seriously gotta check out. The series is absolutely amazing and I hope to see more videos come out. Keep up the good work bud.
that kind of censoring is unnerving because you get the message your looking at something that ether they don't want to knowing or it does not want you to know
funny thing about the vent event near the start of the video, if you try to pause the game. It doesn't let you, that freaked me the hell out when it happened to me.
Fun fact: There's a crowbar in the main room, it's in the vent on the ceiling. You need to grab a box and get on it to pull the vent out. Be warned though, there's a good chance it can explode because there's explosive things in there as well as the crowbar.
One of the 001 proposals for the SCP Foundation has the sun 'breaking' and mutating all life its light (including the reflected light from the moon) reaches into amorphous liquid flesh beasts. That's what I thought of seeing the censored sun.
For maxwell and any other "meme" command/event you need to go to settings > game > and scroll down to find the 'funny mode' and turn it on. I might not be 100% because I'm paraphrasing, but its roughtly the way to get it. Also I would love to see you do a full solar run, its like the hard mode and I havnt seen anyone do an actual game of it. You may not be ready for it because I'd heard it can be brutal, or at least until your comfortible with the game :^)
hot tip-you can climb in the game, all you have to do is press space after you jump while facing a valid climbable object (basically a conditional double jump) you can use that to get into the cabin
I wonder if you could block the window with garbage Also, have you played Duskers? You control up to 4 roombas to loot derilict ships, but you do everything except manually control a single drone at a time with the command line. For example, "d7;navigate 1 2 r3" opens door 7 and moves drone 1 and 2 to room 3. Very spooky game, as there can be scaries and your roombas are inherently clunky and they also don't naturally have weapons, you have to salvage new upgrades. It has a really spooky mood. Also fun fact the monster in Bird Box was gonna have screen presence but then they realized that it would be scarier if you never actually saw it
If you want to play it without monsters and events, you should try ambience mode. Also, Bad sun only hurts in the morning and after that it just attracts you. One huge thing about it is free food! If you get hurt meat chunks drop below you and they're edible and don't hurt. Love your reaction to this ❤.(By the way, you should check out Abiotic Factor but it comes out on 2nd May)
Don't know if this is useful to you, but the blocky censorship of the sun is a reference to a common analog horror trope used in a lot of analog horror series, most notably early Mandela Catalogue, and is probably where the inspiration came from. The event itself is also a reference to an SCP-001 contestant, and the SCP franchise has a reputation for redacting information constantly through most of it's entries, which is likely another huge inspiration for it.
@@cheraxyt it enables all the furry themed stuff there is a hidden upgrade in the bunker that makes the kerfus into a bipedal robot instead of a robot on wheels. without the setting you will only be able to craft kerfus Keith which in my opinion looks hecking creepy but with the setting you can craft the much better looking kerfus droid as of why it's called the funny option. well, I don't know what the dev was thinking. but I know long ago when you had comics that had Garfield or mickey mouse. they were known as funny animal comics. and all of the characters in the funny animal comics are anthropomorphic which in layman's terms mean animals with human features and that term now describes. furry stuff so, I guess it makes sense? at least to me.

Ive never been more terrified playing a game ever. And the worst part is, you legit cant do anything about it, you just have to wait it out
Game Recommendation: Lobotomy Corporation. I would suggest getting a mod for control groups, but it's not impossible without (just a little tedious imo). There's several parts that are about cognitive filtering and active censorship, with themes about avoiding or ignoring the past (and then the failing of that). It can be a bit unforgiving though, so don't feel ashamed of using the built in restart/rewind mechanic.
It did'nt say "maxwell activated, go find him." or whatever it is supposed to say. I think that means you have the "funny setting" in the game section of the settings menu off.
41:42 Go inside the tree inside the shack at 3.33 am. And quick tip about climbing in this game, you can not jump high but if you spam the space you can climb things also if you want to climb really sloppy surfaces like the sides of the river hold ctrl and spam space that way you can climb it.
Hello! Sorry for answering this late, but as you asked for games which have actively censored things not meant to be seen (which I share your interest completely, it also gives me goosebumps.) There is a game called Lobotomy Corporation which I recommend, which is about managing anomalies and explainable phenomena to make money. One of the highest ranking / hardest abnormalities is a thing that is called "Censored". You cant see it, you cant hear it, you are not allowed to perceive it, as you get damaged. So, there is always a censor on it, and your poor agents you order around have to deal with it should it breach containment, and they are not as lucky as you to have an active censor on the thing. If you are interested in the concept itself of "things that hurt to perceive", the entries for Cognitohazard and Infohazard in SCP are really good reads I am sure you will enjoy. I hope this helps! And great video!
There are some SCP games that censor an SCP's face (096) when you try to look at it, I forgot what games those were but they were actively censoring SCP 096's face Speaking of SCP, this scenario is actually based of off SCP-001 "When Day Breaks"
"satellite server a2-2 requires maintenance" means Alpha (your base) server row 2 (second row from the door) server 2 (second server along that row) is broken
23:40 someone has probably already mentioned it but jisatsu, a recent chilla's art horror game, does this real time censoring thing REALLY well, I recommend it 😌👍
You should always do your daily tasks because if you do them flawlessly you gain 75x7 525 points plus a perfect weekly bonus of 500 points end of each week total of 1000 points a week and few extra gifts from your co workers. In short just do them 😂
You ask for more video games that censor stuff. Lobotomy Corp is basically a management game but you "take care" of monsters (basically SCPs if you are aware of what those are) and the game is in a cute chibi style because as manager they need to keep you sane by filtering out most of the otherwise gore and horrors in the game. One of the abnormalities though is so bad that it is literally just censor bars and ingame while there are only 5 tiers of abnormalities the fully censored one is so bad that it virtually act like a 6th tier in terms of inflicting fear on your employees making it one of the few abnormalities that a max out employee can't guarantee take care of.
the event is suppose to be SCP-001 when day breaks (standing in sun light makes you melt like wax) not gonna give full description cause its really long you can look it up on scp wiki if you want
Another semi-recent case of something getting censored in front of you; Terraria's wrath of the gods mod. In it, a new boss (Nameless Deity) is added, one so incompehensible that it's face, minimap icon and healthbar icon appear as a black censor, just like the bad sun.
The shack is a minor story thing. If you get a hook from the store, you can get onto the roof and fall into the shack, where there is a shovel and deer skull in a bush.
You can crouch jump into the abandoned shack. Or just buy the hook. No not microwave the skull under the red tree. Walk into the red tree at 3:30 Check the basement at 3:30. Take a nap in the well using the sleeping bag. Fall down into the basement at 3:30. Buy a Kerfer. Get into the bunker using the hook to get the keycard and a passcode changer, check the right corner to get Kerfer Manual. Update Kerfer with workbench. Shrimp isn't good food, store it in the refrigerator. Also makes for a great gift for your girlfriend. Use a lighter on a mannequin. When you exit the base, walk to the right and step over the Triangle in the corner. You can climb back out but this gets you find things that may fall through the base floor. I am assuming your name and logo is in reference to the crayfish? Cool. Put a pumpkin at the enterence of the cave, and tell Milly I said hello. Be mindful of the demoncore. It is a tad radioactive. Do not mine the purple crystals, green ones are OK if you have the hasmat suit. The tripods are our friends, do not run from the tripods. Remember to take heed of the message, and stay away feom yellow whisps.
Completely different genre and it is kinda scuffed but the game Lobotomy Corporation has censorship of horrors as a decently prominent thing, vibes are very cool though

Got hit with the "Bad Sun" event today while fixing a transformer (great odds!). I had my sleeping bag but couldn't sleep, but at least I was loaded with shrimp to drop off for the cats. I ended up going and doing something else while leaving the game running.
At least you were safe! This event is evil.
The terrifying thing about this is the fact that several times his brain tried to go out to see what was happening, despite knowing that it would start killing him, and despite him trying to fight it. I mean, at one point, his brain almost drove him outside at 21:51.
That message on the window frame tho.
"Cosmic gulfs it throws open before our frenzied eyes"
That's a quote from H.P. Lovecraft.
Yeah in the next episode I changed my mind about them and will be doing them always now!
Voices of the void is a game I seriously gotta check out. The series is absolutely amazing and I hope to see more videos come out. Keep up the good work bud.
You really need to play the game, if you haven't. Watching videos or streams is only half the fun. You have to experience it yourself! Thank you!
The algorithm has truly blessed you this day and we are all better off for it. Great content, I can't wait to play this myself.
It truly did, I still can't believe it!
Hah, I remember the first time I saw the Bad sun event. It was Christmas eve and I got scared out of my mind because I wasn't expecting it lol
Hey man! Love the content. Typing "Maxwell" will actually spawn a 'suprise' you can keep randomly on the map.
We'll get to it soon, I think. So much to do with all your guys' tips!
I saw the start and thought you were a UA-camr with thousands of subs. You are severely underrated!
Happy to hear that, thanks!
The "bad sun" event reminds me of the: "The sun is your enemy" bumper from adult swim
that kind of censoring is unnerving because you get the message your looking at something that ether they don't want to knowing or it does not want you to know
You have the properties to go popular one day and explode in views, your content is astronomically underrated
Appreciate this comment, thank you!
funny thing about the vent event near the start of the video, if you try to pause the game. It doesn't let you, that freaked me the hell out when it happened to me.
that signal right after the event 😭 I need to stop watching these for going to sleep. my heart rate-
Fun fact: There's a crowbar in the main room, it's in the vent on the ceiling. You need to grab a box and get on it to pull the vent out.
Be warned though, there's a good chance it can explode because there's explosive things in there as well as the crowbar.
Well, guess we're trying to get to that stuff in the end haha! I gave up on it pretty fast last time
One of the 001 proposals for the SCP Foundation has the sun 'breaking' and mutating all life its light (including the reflected light from the moon) reaches into amorphous liquid flesh beasts. That's what I thought of seeing the censored sun.
randomly got recommended this and I like it.Subscribed!
Thank you so very much!
Your videos are so relaxing to watch keep going man much love
Thank you so much! I'm glad you like it!
Maybe in the future I will have mastered the game and then we can get destroyed by it haha!
Also, when turning it on: type gooseworx.rufus !
I like watching small creators grow into creators with tons of subscribers and watch how channel grow
and your video started to youtube show me more voices of the void :D
28:48 Terraria Calamity wraith of the gods
hot tip-you can climb in the game, all you have to do is press space after you jump while facing a valid climbable object (basically a conditional double jump) you can use that to get into the cabin
That is completely new to me. Will definitely be trying that out everywhere I can!
I wonder if you could block the window with garbage
Also, have you played Duskers? You control up to 4 roombas to loot derilict ships, but you do everything except manually control a single drone at a time with the command line. For example, "d7;navigate 1 2 r3" opens door 7 and moves drone 1 and 2 to room 3. Very spooky game, as there can be scaries and your roombas are inherently clunky and they also don't naturally have weapons, you have to salvage new upgrades. It has a really spooky mood.
Also fun fact the monster in Bird Box was gonna have screen presence but then they realized that it would be scarier if you never actually saw it
i remember playing all the way back when we didn't have the modern dashboard now i feel nostalgic, good content as well!
I remember that too! Good times. And thank you!
holy shit, this is fire... really fucking underrated, I hope you get bigger soon
Thanks a lot! It's been very overwhelming for me the last two days haha!
Hey man, just found the channel, i love your energy and passion
Thank you so much, I'm glad you enjoy!
I think for the maxwell command you need to turn the funny option on in settings.
I saw the setting, but didn't know, what it would do. So I left it be haha
@@cheraxyt it enables all the furry themed stuff
there is a hidden upgrade in the bunker that makes the kerfus into a bipedal robot instead of a robot on wheels.
without the setting you will only be able to craft kerfus Keith which in my opinion looks hecking creepy
but with the setting you can craft the much better looking kerfus droid
as of why it's called the funny option.
well, I don't know what the dev was thinking.
but I know long ago when you had comics that had Garfield or mickey mouse.
they were known as funny animal comics.
and all of the characters in the funny animal comics are anthropomorphic which in layman's terms mean animals with human features and that term now describes. furry stuff
so, I guess it makes sense?
at least to me.
@@slycooper1001 So you're saying, I can turn on the setting, without having to worry about my save file? If so, I'd do that in the future
This is the video that was recommended to me that led me to your series in the first place. Looking back at the rest of the videos, getting over 10x the _good_ number of views says the algorithm absolutely blessed you on it... I thought I remembered it being a later one! Excited to be all the way here already. Pretty sure the thumbnail did some HEAVY lifting on that front, "ignore protocol / annihilate the sun" is so unhinged I don't know who WOULDN'T click 😂😂
That one was a given with the game over screen haha! But thanks!
@@cheraxyt It definitely gets your attention! My knowledge of the game is pretty scattered since I haven't actually gotten to play it myself yet (my PC's been bricked for months) but I've wanted to give it a try ever since I heard about it around a year ago, just never had time... and waited too long, it seems 😅 But I'd actually never _seen_ the game over screen for the Bad Sun event, so that actually gave me a pretty good spook! Definitely enjoying the series, thanks for putting it out here for us all! 💖✨
@@cheraxytJust got to the end - hearing that you're familiar with Fears to Fathom and Darkwood is great! I almost suggested Darkwood last time, but it's a much longer game. If you like Fears to Fathom, and that sort of linear horror experience, I'd definitely check out some of the Chilla's Art Game entries!
@@ahegpbtrftcotu I'd like to recommend watching Darkwood, that I played on the channel haha! Maybe you haven't seen it yet!
@@cheraxyt Darkwood is another one that I know is a _fantastic_ game that I actually followed some of the development of, but never got around to playing for myself. I eventually cracked and went to watch a video of someone talking about it recently, in its finished state, but only got about as far as the intro before deciding I really just wanted to experience it naturally. As much as I'd like to play it for myself... that's not really an option now 😅 so I might do EXACTLY that, I love your approach to things and if I can't play it myself anytime soon, seeing how you tackled it would definitely be the next best thing!
You sound so good for a channel created in 2023 really confident
Been doing this for over a year now, but thank you anyway haha!
Ah, really great videos so far. I'd gladly see you play games like Lobotomy Corporation and SCP Containment Breach, as they have a similar feel to VotV, with all the bizarre entities and whatnot...
The conclusion "capture all light" reminds me of a pokemon that names i dont remember but i think its a legendary and its a pokemon that wants all the light in the universe
i really love these videos, keep up the good work!
Thank you very much, I will do my very best every time!
"oh god i have the biggest goosebumps, oh my god my skin is crawling"
yea same for me
Cool vid subbed also there are a lot of console commands dont forget to save before doing some of them.
At some point we'll turn on the setting in the menu and go through all of them!
Good to know im not the only that got super freaked out because of the bad sun event! I already get uneasy because of sirens and then to have the sun completely censored after?? Ive never been more terrified playing a game ever. And the worst part is, you legit cant do anything about it, you just have to wait it out
Glad to know, we're not the only ones haha! Super scary event
Fun fact: during this event i got the event that blacks out the sun aswell. Pretty neat
Ii'm glad your getting more popular, keep going g
Will do! You people are amazing!
Can I turn it on in the middle of a playthrough, without having to worry about my save file?
@@cheraxyt yeah it doesnt change anything about the story it just lets you put in funny commands
The sun event is based on an SCP if you didn’t know I don’t know the number but it’s called “When day breaks”
Btw the scp has a game
41:42 Go inside the tree inside the shack at 3.33 am. And quick tip about climbing in this game, you can not jump high but if you spam the space you can climb things also if you want to climb really sloppy surfaces like the sides of the river hold ctrl and spam space that way you can climb it.
I will definitely try that out, thank you!
its really cool to see more people play this game
Here to get my VotV fix while I await the librarians next upload. So far I also enjoy your content!!
I'm always curious what other players experience.
Always something different, I love it! My game is relatively kind to my thus far
I can tell that one day your channel will explode with popularity
That's the dream, my friend!
you can turn on the light in the base and in the room where you get the signals the switch is right next to the door
there should be an option for a reputation notification for 2 specific entities in the settings
There are some SCP games that censor an SCP's face (096) when you try to look at it, I forgot what games those were but they were actively censoring SCP 096's face
Speaking of SCP, this scenario is actually based of off SCP-001 "When Day Breaks"
22:39 this feels so weird seeing clear sun during that event
Some SCP 001- When Day Breaks, typeshit
"satellite server a2-2 requires maintenance" means Alpha (your base) server row 2 (second row from the door) server 2 (second server along that row) is broken
loaded into my infinite save ragdolled, fell up then landed on my chair
THIS VID IS EPIC HOW DO YOU NOT HAVE AT LEAST 10K SUBS!!!!!!!!!!!
We have to start somewhere haha! And thanks for saying that. Made my day!
23:40 someone has probably already mentioned it but jisatsu, a recent chilla's art horror game, does this real time censoring thing REALLY well, I recommend it 😌👍
I love votv I play vicariously through you and ferax. Considering I'm homeless
You should always do your daily tasks because if you do them flawlessly you gain 75x7 525 points plus a perfect weekly bonus of 500 points end of each week total of 1000 points a week and few extra gifts from your co workers. In short just do them 😂
Will do! Changed my mind in the upcoming episode anyways haha
@@cheraxyt haven’t played this game but the advice they gave sounds like pretty good advice!
I'm gonna have a look at this, thank you!
Maxwell command did not work because Funny settings are not enabled in settings most likely.
the event is suppose to be SCP-001 when day breaks (standing in sun light makes you melt like wax) not gonna give full description cause its really long you can look it up on scp wiki if you want
completting the daily tasks give you a bonus of 500 points at the end of the week
Another semi-recent case of something getting censored in front of you; Terraria's wrath of the gods mod. In it, a new boss (Nameless Deity) is added, one so incompehensible that it's face, minimap icon and healthbar icon appear as a black censor, just like the bad sun.
This is basically just scp 1 when day breaks
The surprise esqueleton was super cool
Like "ho you forgot something from sitring so long there" kek
The shack is a minor story thing. If you get a hook from the store, you can get onto the roof and fall into the shack, where there is a shovel and deer skull in a bush.
As well, if you double jump it allows you to "vault" onto an object.
microwave the skull and a wendigo spawns :)
Active censoring? Ive only seen that once, outside of this game. In a mod for terraria "Wrath of the gods" One of the super bosses has that.
You can crouch jump into the abandoned shack. Or just buy the hook.
No not microwave the skull under the red tree.
Walk into the red tree at 3:30
Check the basement at 3:30.
Remember to take heed of the message, and stay away feom yellow whisps.
i cant wait for when this game fully releases
Same here!
It’s surprisingly glad I found this!
I have a small tip what u can do when u sleep
U can put the 2 clock from the bedroom outside on the poler, so u can see what time it is
😂
You people are creative haha!
when you type maxwell in console, it spawns maxwell somehere at map. You can find him by litening for "funky russian train" music
I didn’t even see how messed up that tree was until it was near the end
It slowly changes to this monstrosity
As a seven hundreth subscriber im proud to say i like this.
And I'm proud to have such lovely people in the comments, thank you!
Completely different genre and it is kinda scuffed but the game Lobotomy Corporation has censorship of horrors as a decently prominent thing, vibes are very cool though
Well if you're listening to us here's a little tip for you place a 4 cameras on the top of the tower so you can have a 360 degree view of the bass
