Fun fact: if you print something then replace the .obj file with something larger, you can essentially bypass the size limit and create stuff of any size you want. I've seen someone make a giant boingy boof using this it's incredible

hi I have come to explain how the printer works as I have too much useless stupid info about the game and it's quite more complicated and not explained anywhere in the game
so. printer meshes can only have ONE base texture (unless you know how to bake textures together but that's more complicated). keep that in mind for when you look for shit you wanna print.
For collision, open the model in blender, name the mesh you want to get printed "0" and the collision mesh "1", 2", "3", etc. you can have as many collision meshes as you want. the collision meshes can only be convex hulls (or just separate simple shapes like cubes and whatnot). The game auto generates collision meshes if you don't provide any, but nose said it's not very performance friendly and that it's better if we provide our own (thats why the printer lag spiked the game)
for textures: you already know how to give it a base texture so I'm gonna skip that. normal map and pbr textures are really only good if you know what you're doing with them and are not really necessary most of the time (and can be hit or miss on if they look good ingame) but if you want to add them to your mesh, name them "[mesh name]_normal.png" and [mesh name]_pbr.png"
normal maps can usually be kept as is with a model but pbr textures have to be edited a bit so the game reads them correctly. the texture uses the different color channels of the image to give out values to the material on how shiny it should be and whatnot. Here's what each channel controls:
R - metallic
G - roughness
B - specular
A - alpha (changed in d062 to be in the base texture instead)
now for the texture filtering modes:
the "nearest" setting will print all textures in the non-smooth pixelated style the entirety of votv uses. so I recommend using it on low res textured meshes or textures you scaled down yourself to fit the game. bi-linear does the opposite on the other hand and makes the pixels of the texture blend together to smoothen it out like it's usually done in games.
I recommend using this ALWAYS on the normal map and pbr texture, unless they are specifically made to be used with nearest.
physical material explains itself and you already figured out what that does so. yea.
now for some other facts abt printer models:
if you use the ruler tool in blender, votv printer meshes are 200m wide and 300m tall. everything bigger will not print. if you know how to use umodel to dump votv's files you can export as example kel's mesh, import it into blender and use that for size reference as they get imported in the same size everything is ingame.
If you want to get rid of printer meshes, beat the shit out of them with your crowbar. it'll take longer depending on how big the mesh is.
printer meshes have no weight in the player inventory, meaning you can carry infinite of them with you or even store infinite of them in boxes.
alright that should hopefully be everything sorry for the massive info dump but I'd figure since I spent alot of time figuring all this shit out myself I might as well share my knowledge with ppl to save them some time. have fun 🫡
ps: if you're on the eternitydev discord (MrDrNose's server), there's a forum where people post all of their own printer meshes they made for the game. there's a bunch of fun stuff there if you just wanna get some decorations and whatnot.

The votv dev should add something into the game that just sets your sleep to some ridiculous negative number so that you're unconscious for like five days when you eat it, but it's so obvious that eating it will fuck you up in some way that isn't 100% certain. You eat a box of sharp prickly red and blue fruit and you just drop unconscious immediately like you just got JFK'd.

With Kerfus getting stuck, try having microsleep. physics on kerfus break for moment while you sleep and might dislodge him without you having to deal with it.
For extra funny, try getting kerfus near front door (sleep camera area) while you sleep.
You can add a base on the bottom of your model and it should prevent it from falling, plus you can make him bigger, 200x200x300 max size. Posing is also possible on the OBJ!
If you do a quick sleep, physics got wonky and it can get Kerfussy unstuck, may need to quick nap more than once if he gets real stuck.
I do say you guys should finish the 43 days the game has to offer before moving to the next version, otherwise you guys may miss some REALLY FUN events!

It'd make sense if you could only eat them during the event, because you can't sleep during the event and the only other source of stamina would be the toilet, so if you're low on stamina and don't want to get fucked over by the sleep paralysis demon then you can take damage and nom on the gibs since they regain stamina.
