Ozzy has such a massive portfolio. He’s done soooooo much. It’s sad to hear that he can’t tour anymore, but he should be proud of the legacy of music he has created.
A lot of his solo stuff is crap, but those first two albums are stone cold classics

This lineup is so sick!!! Nobody handles Randy better then Zakk! Randy is a handful to play and Zakk not only Pays respect to Randy but does with his own flavor! And then he nails the solos note for note like Randy!! I just want to give ZW some props for how great he is!!
There never was any need for a new Randy and Zakk has always been a copy of the guitarists before him instead of creating his own sound. It sounds great live though.
@ I disagree. He's playing Randy's songs, but he sounds nothing like Randy. I'd never mistake Zakk for Randy, and Zakk puts his own spin on the music
@I disagree. Zakk is absolutely his own guitarist and had more writing with Oz than anyone, it's not his fault that they play all those tunes Randy wrote. He took Rhoads work and gave it his style but stayed true to Randy's sound, something no other guitarist could do as well
Meh zakk can be annoying sometimes. Like he tries too hard. His vibrato and string bends are not 'soulful,' they feel generic and forced. Compare to legend dimebag Darrell. Anything he plays sounds like magic.

I'm no expert on guitars, even though I love my rock and metal. But this version with Zakk has his guitar sounding closer to Randy Rhoads more than any other song I've heard him play. Just love it and thanks to both!
zakk does randy justice. best mr crowley live ive heard on this show as well. you can say what you want about zakk and harmonics, but he has always been known for his stage work. him and randy shine with their live shows.
I know this is an old thread, but I had this cassette tape in the early nineties and lost it. I was trying to find this song off that cassette and found this, and it's practically the same, Wylde does this almost exactly like Rhodes, it's damn amazing.
Powerful drums, tasty bass, killer guitar, crazy vocalist - the perfect line-up. :D

Since the death of Randy, this was Ozzy's best live line-up - Trujillo is an incredible bassist, Bordin is such an awesome powerful drummer, and Zakk is so unique and heavy...perfection!

For anyone learning this on guitar, the slide Zakk does on the fourth note is open G, slide to 4th fret, with open B and E string. Took me so long to find that majestic sound.
To play this song, learn how it was played on the album, and then to play it like zakk wylde just make every note a pinch harmonic, even if it takes away from the song, which it totally does

Nicely done, but my major complaint is that Zakk doesn't play the harmony note in the main riff like the original. It completely changes the sound of the chord, for the worse, imo.

Randy would give Zakk a thumbs up if he could.The only Ozzy guitarist who treated Randy's stuff with respect and yet still add something modern to it without really changing anything -if that makes sense..Zakk is a class act.
Entirely my thoughts. No one plays Randy better than Zakk, sometimes not even Randy Zakk was the perfect age to grasp Rhoads' work. Oz took his guitar player talent seriously and there was always ONE
As great as Zakk is, I can't feel it when he plays Randy. He plays amazing and I don't know why I can't feel it, but I don't. Ozzy sounded amazing and he always sounds top shelf and for that "I Thank You" & Ozzy. for what it's worth, we all love you..💯
