A Real Gem. It is not listed in the Clyde McCoy Discography. Some of the tunes here were not recorded either. Definitely 1938, as others have stated. Hope that there's more of these Sounded out there!
The Bennett Sisters (vocalists with the band) were actually the Means sisters, initially three of them, and a 4th Means sister came on board later. Clyde Mc Coy eventually married the oldest sister.
This must actually be 1938 - the song 'You Go To My Head' did not come out until late winter/early spring of that year. Also, the Bennett Sisters (featured here, although never getting a vocal feature) made their first recordings with Clyde in April 1938.
I was so stunned to find this! The base player is my father. He was also the road manager ckr the band. 😂
