Subaru Forester Car Camping in Bear Canyon Reservoir New Mexico

Bear Canyon Reservoir is located northeast of Silver City New Mexico, along Highway 35. it is located in the Bear Canyon Wildlife Management area, next to the Gila National Forest. The road is accessible to cars, trucks, and small RVs, with a limited number of primitive camp sites available alongside the road. Great spot for anglers (stocked with rainbow trout) as well as hikers and for viewing wildlife, such as deer and elk. The trail around the lake is fairly easy and offers shade from pinion, juniper, and oak trees. This area also offers an escape from the summer heat, as located @6,000 ft elevation. @@drewprice3110 the tent is from a company called Napier...got the Napier SUV tent...it can come in a couple of different sizes...9 x 9 x 7.25 ft, or 10 x 10 x 7.25 ft...does this answer your question?
