You know, one of my big ideas for next year is to try to take a flight that intercepts the path of a major solar eclipse. I feel like that would be super cool to see. Unfortunately nothing happening this time around.
@@sla31 The tickets for that flight would be VERY expensive. I don't think even YOU would be able to afford it. :) Anyhow, we're going to get 80% coverage here. Back during the 2017 eclipse, we had 91% coverage. It looked like someone had put a huge sunglass up in the sky. The sun's rays were noticeably much weaker and the temperature dropped 4-5 degrees and you could feel it. Down in Salem, OR, they had total coverage. Other news, we're still at least 5 inches under budget here. Anyhow, time for me to resume watching The Changeling, the 1980 movie with George C Scott where he learns that a ghost is haunting the house he was living at in Seattle (but the house was filmed up in Vancouver). The woman who channeled to the ghost was very believable, like how it would work in real life. I was impressed by that scene. They did their homework. Like they said in the movie, 99% of mediums are utter frauds, but the remaining 1% are astonishing. Yes, that was the Seattle Public Library they were in when researching the newspapers from 1909. I recognized that room. But in real life, you don't need the librarian to help you find a reel from 1909. You just look for it in the drawer and help yourself.
