- After what turned into 4 days in the northernmost city in America, we finally got a flight and flew back down to Anchorage aboard Alaska Airlines' B737-800! Upgraded from a -700 due to the previous day's cancellation, this was possibly my most favorite Alaska flight rivaling only the Milk Run I'd flown a year prior. The seats were as always very comfortable with generous legroom, the crew was extremely friendly, and most importantly the views and scenery on this flight were absolutely breathtaking - the captain going out of his way to circle around Denali for the passengers to catch an extended view of North America's tallest mountain...standing at a whopping 20,310' high. There's no Alaska bush plane or turboprop that's gonna beat the views we saw on a jet. What a fantastic way to top this flight and the Arctic Adventure off. Hope you guys enjoy!

For those that wanna see the full spin around Denali...ua-cam.com/video/C5dWypfGuqU/v-deo.html 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
What a cool pilot to request clearance from ATC to circle Denali. That is a very rare close up look! I feel fortunate to live in Seattle where Alaska Airlines has a substantial base. I think it is consistently a very good airline.
This is actually pretty common. I used to fly this flight a few times a month for close to 35 years and many times we did a circle around Denali.

I work for Alaska at SeaTac. It’s interesting seeing the ground crew at that airport with limited ramp space. Can’t be easy
This series is awesome. You seriously put a lot of effort into these videos, and you are very funny.
I agree 💯
Your video inspired me to do this trip from Nashville.
A deviation for sightseeing? I've never heard of such a thing. Great!
Fantastic video presentation! Updated on the next video!
Congratulations on joining the 30% club
What an amazing flight! That was so cool. Thanks for the video!
I always preferred turboprops when flying in Alaska. No wings blocking your views.
I like the video so much its awesome to see the mountains in Alaska
BEAUTIFUL scenery!
Is hard to believe that he called that payphone an antique, when I literally remember like yesterday looking for quarters to place a phone call back in the 90's .. Sometimes I keep forgetting that there are no longer any pay phones left at food markets and convenient stores.
Jealous !! Barrow is on my bucket list. Happy landings:)
I actually live in barrow Alaska
I thought it wasn’t called Barrow anymore.
@@Chris_at_Home a lot of people call it barrow cause they were born in barrow not Utqiagvik
Great job.
Great video like always. I need to make it up there one day. :)
June 11 is my birthday!! Love the vids btw
1:44 That was not a “dial” telephone!
Those mountains are pretty wow
I find it very interesting that Alaska airlines is your favorite, granted I’ve only flown with them once. Personally I prefer JetBlue, the on board experience is far better than any other airline I’ve flown with. Though I do wish JetBlue had more direct destinations from MCO.
That was fantastic!
I always hear such great things about Alaska Airlines. I would love to fly on Alaska but they don't fly into my hometown airports.
Absolutely fantastic video Chris!😸

I got so much de ja' vu with that everts air cargo plane 😂 swear i saw i go past a few times
Try flying to the USA's most western city, Adak, Alaska!
Circling denali is rare, yet also dangerous. There have been accidents from similar things in the past. Usually atc is told to not allow deviation unless its for weather or emergency
Not how that works.
I flew by this mountain a few times a month for over 35 years and many times we did the tourist thing around Denali.
First
Congratulations
Pittsburgh to London video
Try some other drinks , live a little!
159 people definitely had NO business in Barrow there’s literally nothing their 😂
Now do it again in the winter…
They upgraded the aircraft knowing more passengers would be on this flight due to the flight the previous day getting cancelled
Sometimes the youngster meal options on flights is the better choice.
“…Now, if I'm flying United, I'll say I'm a youngster and they'll give me the kiddie plate. That's a hot dog, bag of potato chips, a gherkin, and a nice little bag of Oreo cookie, mmm!” -Del Griffith; Planes, Trains & Automobiles
That was Mt. McKinley - your geography needs a bit of study
It's the same mountain
"In a nod to Alaska's native population, former President Barack Obama announced in 2015 that he was officially renaming the country's tallest mountain from Mt. McKinley to Denali, its name in the indigenous Athabascan language." - CNN
They renamed it to Denali idiot.
That's what it is called by people who cant see it.
