He's at least the son of a monster if not a monster himself, he'd be yet another competent individual (could always use more of these). Ace also loves to party and best of all he'd be unique as a logia user.
I've been reading One Piece since I was 9. I'm 27 now. It's helped me through a lot of hardships, Luffy being somewhat of a rolemodel to me to never surrender, and I consider OP a part of me. I concur with your statement completely.

Unfortunately Ive figured out who the last 3 are going to be. Im pretty sure that Oda stated in the past that he based the strawhats on the chinese zodiac. Ive figured the next 3 strawhats will be Carrot, Caesar (Gangster Gastino), and lastly Tashigi. Carrot for obvious reasons. Caesar because I feel as if Oda has plans for him especially with how he left after the whole cake island arc (not the first time oda put a former villain on the crew). Tashigi will most likely join during the final war (Ive been thinking that oda would kill off smoker in a way that would put Tashigi in a position to seperate from the Navy/WorldGovernment). Lastly for Jimbei it would be great if he would stay a part of the crew until the end (but I have a feeling that he is going to die, that and there is no fish zodiac) If you are wondering why I am connecting this to zodiac every strawhat correspond to a zodiac Luffy-Monkey(duh) Zoro-Dragon, Sanji-Tiger, Nami-Pig, Usopp-Rooster, Chopper-Dog, Robin-Rat, Franky-Ox, Brook-Snake(ironic), Carrot-Hare/Rabbit, Caesar-Goat, Tashigi-Horse. I’m pretty certain that the only other two Strawhat members will be on the Strawhat Crew after Wano is finished is going to be either Mr.2 and Boa Hancock or Boa Hancock and Mihawk after Wano Arc is finished, but Carrot will definitely be one of the three Strawhat Pirates, and we don’t know for certainty if Zoro is going to win a fight against Mihawk after Wano and steal his Sword and Dagger after Wano is finished or not, but you’re right that Momo, Kinneamaro, and Konsuke will all stay in Wano after Luffy and the Strawhats defeat Kaido.

Moreover, his theory has a problematic self-contradiction. Smoker was introduced in Loguetown, in the East Blue, and that should completely discredit his candidacy. I think he'll be taking Luffy's side for Endgame after the World Government executes Vivi and causes all-out world war once Luffy becames the sole Yonko after taking down the others.
You can place Yamato in the third row having in common with Franky and Usopp not the leader thing but something Oda put more attention to, the fact that they are "sons" of pirates.
It makes no sense for Yamato to remain in Wank and Momo to join the crew. I really want Carrot to join. She's sufficiently different from the rest of the crew to be a breath of fresh air and her interactions with the crew are already great (and funny, especially with Chopper). Smoker and Tashigi I see joining either the revolutionaries or the greater straw hat alliance.
Tashigi's arc thus far as I've seen it is her learning to be a leader and make her own decisions so it makes sense for smoker to leave the marines with her in charge of G-5. As for him joining the crew that's a different debate

Maybe she forms her own group or decides to reform the marines from the inside or is a spy within the marines for smoker. I was gonna say that he’s not practical because he’s too weak. Can’t even defend himself right now. That being said, the Strawhats operate in trios right now: “Monster Trio,” with Luffy, Sanji, and Zoro; “Weak Trio,” with Nami, Usopp, and Chopper; Franky, Robin, and Brook don’t necessarily have an epithet as of now. If we go by the 12 crew mate theory, Jinbei would be part of the former, and the new crew mate would be part of the latter. I still think Momo is too weak to even join the “Weak Trio,” so I really don’t think it’s going to be him.
If Smoker leaves the marines, I consider the most probable scenario one where Tashigi has achieved (in that arc, probably) independence and has become a great marine leader. Smoker leaves the marines and Tashigi decides on her own to stay with G5, ready to lead and no more a subordinate who need the guidance of Smoker. Smoker would leave the marines proud of her, after that final show of self-determination which has been to decide to stay and not follow him for his own ideals. I can imagine easily those scenes; it looks good for me.

Except that Oda recently revealed in One Piece magazine 10 that he meant 10 excluding Luffy. That was a few weeks ago. Him bringing that up confirms that it's going to be 11 total with Luffy. Mr Morj is not up to date on this one.. His video has been debunked by Oda himself before he even posted it.

It really doesn't matter what Luffy said at the beginning of the series. He is clearly saying it on a whim. He has no idea on how many crew members he is going to end up with. The New Giant Warrior Pirates led by Hajrudin are already the 6th Ship of the Straw Hat Fleet Dorry and Broggy are supposed to have headed back to Elbaf way back when they met Luffy. Hajrudin only had 4 other Giants with him and they said they were going to go recruit more. The news of Big Mom's defeat will also be joyous for the giant community. When Luffy as King of the Pirates assaults Marie-Jois he will have the might of Elbaf behind him.
Another point against Smoker, which is also a point against Momo: these two don't parallel their supposed counterparts nearly as well as Jinbei and Carrot. Even Carrot doesn't quite make it. As for Jimbei, the strength of his parallel with Zoro and Chopper really depends on what his dream is. Robin and Nami aren't just both girls, they're both extremely intelligent and knowledgeable girls who joined the crew with divided or questionable loyalties, were won over slowly by their interactions with the rest of the crew, left after apparently betraying and/or rejecting the crew, and then were re-recruited after Luffy rescued them from the person or group that had tormented them for years and killed their mothers, and which person/group either had in the past or was presently threatening to use the girls' knowledge and talents to further their authoritarian aims while keeping the girls locked away. Both also have goals that revolve around learning and acquiring knowledge over the course of their journey. Vivi might actually be a closer parallel than Carrot, depending somewhat on what actually happened at the end of the Reverie, although Carrot could at least manage a parallel of delayed official recruitment, and her desire to see the world could be worked into a knowledge-oriented goal. Meanwhile Vivi would be a perfect dark horse recruit if she's been, say, captured by Crocodile working as a mercenary for the WG following the assassination of her father and occupation of her homeland by the WG, paralleling the involvement of the Marines and/or WG in Robin and Nami's stories as well. Usopp and Franky don't just lead other gangs before joining the Straw Hats, they're both tinkers and inventors whose goals revolve around equaling or exceeding the feats of someone from their backstory who was part of or deeply connected to major crews from an older generation of pirates and whose reputation they have defended for years despite their association with piracy. Yamato is a vastly better parallel than Smoker, given her association with Oden. Momo could also work here, I guess; neither he nor Yamato have an obvious tinker/inventor orientation, but if one of them winds up inheriting or redeveloping the Kozuki stonemasonry techniques they could fit. Sanji and Brook aren't just perverts, they're also fast moving and deeply perceptive independent actors whose role on the ship revolves around providing a service to the rest of the crew, with deeply layered backstories involving multiple tragedies and phases in their lives, including a first phase where they left or were exiled from a kingdom to which they had been loyal, and both spent a long time as the second-in-command to another figure from their backstory before ultimately joining Luffy. Carrot honestly fits better here than she does with Nami and Robin; as a scout she wouldn't exactly "provide a service" the way the ship's cook and musician do, but she would certainly fit the adventure role that Sanji and Brook have taken as independent operatives often acting ahead of the main group of the Straw Hats, figuring out the enemy's plans and weaknesses and often having an early confrontation with major foes who take center stage late in the arc ("young lady"), and her relationship with Wanda could serve as a parallel to Sanji's past under Zeff and Brook's under Yorki. I could also see the loss of Pedro and then the Dukes as the sort of "double tragedy" that Sanji and Brook have (or seem to have, in Brook's case) experienced. As far as Zoro and Chopper, I'll just point out that they are also unique among the crew in that both have goals that revolve around self-improvement and reaching the absolute pinnacle of their respective skill sets. Zoro wants to be the greatest swordsman, and that means that he has to continually become a better swordsman over the course of his journey. Chopper wants to be a doctor who can cure anything, and that means that he has to continually become a better doctor over the course of his journey. Jimbei is the best practitioner of Fishman Karate, as far as we know, but this doesn't seem to have much to do with his dream. I'll also note that while Usopp wants to be a brave warrior of the sea and this involves him growing and becoming braver over the course of his journey, he never states a desire to be the best warrior of the sea, or to reach some sort of pinnacle of bravery. He wants to live up to a standard he's set for himself, but it's not a continuous series of mounting challenges that he needs to overcome the way it is with Chopper and Zoro.

Agreed. Swap Smoker with Bon Clay, he's an Okama leader too, so it matches. I think Smoker will join with them to fight a "greater evil" or even the "absolute justice Marines" along with the other "good marines" like Fujitora and Coby though, and they'll end up being the new set of Admirals at the end of the series and change it's corruption from the inside-out.

@@thepaultheory I think people like Smoker, Fujitora, Coby and even Garp know how broken the navy system is, and they all have their own sense of justice, but I think becoming a pirate would only serve to counter Smoker's sense of justice. His ultimate goal from the beginning was to capture Luffy, and I don't think it'll change. I DO believe he'll team up with Luffy again though, but only similarly to how Garp teamed up with Gold Roger. I think that's the angle Oda is going for with both of them, like a repeat of the past. Also Smoker doesn't fit in with the 1-10 devilfruit theory, and I wholeheartedly think it's going to happen. The last straw hat with a devilfruit is going to have the paw paw fruit since it completely numbers 2 and 9. So I think either Kuma is going to die and someone else gets it and joins, or Kuma himself will end up joining the crew.

I see Yamato as more of a fit for the 'Leader' role than Smoker, let me explain. After watching your Smoker joining the crew analysis, I definitely subscribe to the idea of Smoker changing sides, but I don't see it going as far as joining the crew. One point you've made clear in the past is that Luffy isn't supposed to have a 'Garp', and that we shouldn't force parallels by comparing characters like Smoker and Koby be called the 'Garp' to Luffy. And from what I've seen of the story, it seems to me like Smoker will end up being a part of the Grand Fleet or some larger alliance by the final war. My reasoning for believing this is first of all his own personal character arc which you already covered in the Smoker analysis, but also Tashigi and G5. Admittedly for Tashigi I have a weaker argument, but I think that G5 supports a stronger one. Firstly with Tashigi, it throws a bit of a wrench into Smoker joining the crew just for the fact that she is his right hand. Also of her dream of wanting to take all the swords back from the pirates, I don't see her willingly going along with Luffy since he has crewmembers that are swordsmen like Zoro and Brook. G5 has been shown to be a very rowdy bunch, and they were trained up to be marines. To me G5 seems like Smoker's own 'crew' of sorts, a unit for him to command, and people that we've seen are very loyal to him and Tashigi above all else, given the events of Punk Hazard. They also got to see the Straw Hats in action firsthand, and I think in a final war scenario they would follow Smoker no doubt and switch sides, after they have that connection with him and the Straw Hats. Now while I agree that Smoker fits that role of leader, I don't see him following Luffy as a crew member due to his own ambitions along with Tashigi's and G5's ambitions. I see Yamato as more of a fit for that leader role. We've seen her bicker with Luffy about being the one to take down Kaido, we've seen her want to be a follower of someone and go out to sea despite her rambunctious personality, and we've seen her step up to the plate and take initiative, such as essentially kidnapping Luffy after smacking down Ulti, and going to help out Momonosuke and Shinobu after Luffy's order. She seems like the right balance of leader and follower, and someone that would have steadfast loyalty, not to mention the connection with Ace, which seems like it will have a bigger role over the course of Wano. I think that at some point, Tama and Yamato will get acquainted through their knowledge of Ace, and with Tama still being young, Yamato will essentially carry on her will and go out to sea in her stead. I still don’t see how Yamato could be a greater fit for the ‘’Leader’’ role than Smoker, we haven’t seen her show her leadership over other ppl unlike Usopp Franky and Smoker. Speaking of him, Smoker is a follower too, he is loyal to the marines (for now) and loyal to his own ideals as well.
@@Sara_fxl Seeing as how the comparison in the video was referring to Usopp and Franky, I came to a somewhat different conclusion on what the 'leader' role was. While, yes, Usopp had the Usopp pirates and Franky ran the Franky family, Usopp's crew was a facade, it was just a bunch of kids playing pirates. It wasn't any serious crew, and Usopp was something more along the lines of a role model to the kids than an actual leader. As for Franky, his situation is a little unique, but I also believe it was some sort of facade. While yes, Franky did take in the thugs of Water 7 and gave them jobs, he adopted the name Franky from Iceberg to begin with. The whole reason he became Franky was to protect the blueprints for Pluton, so that the World Government wouldn't get their hands on them. Tying this all into Yamato, she also is being propped up by Kaido as a false leader, since he proclaimed that she would be the shogun of Wano, despite her wishes. Also, Yamato is taking on the likeness of Oden and inheriting his will, once again, a false display of leadership. as Ikenna Ojukwu mentioned in their comment just above mine, Yamato also falls into a rambunctious personality type with the likes of Usopp and Franky. Hopefully that helped to clarify my argument :)

I know that Kaido wants to make her shogun of Wano, but it did not happen yet. And she’s trying to imitate or be Oden, in which she’s not very successful 😂, we still haven’t seen her lead a group of people like Oden did.
You're missing something important. Every strawhat had a defined dream that they really want to achieve. I think Yamato is the best fit bc she has the ambition to be like Oden so her dream is to be with the pirate king. Also fits as another female. Every strawhat also has a role on the ship, such as navigator cook etc. What would Momo do?
There’s one reason for momo to stay on the ship. That’s to learn the language that his father couldn’t pass down to him . Only other person in the world happens to be Robin . She will teach him for a short period and return back to want just like oden did with whitebeard and roger
Doesn't Yamato identify as male though? Believing themself to be Oden's reincarnation. That's what I've heard and, if that's the case, then I think it would be a misstep to identify the character as fitting the female category when Oda has seen fit to specify that they identify as male.

I like the concept of this theory and think that it definitely will be 12 members at the end of one piece. What I disagree are the characters you chose to join and the similaritys between the members of each row. Like the first row doesn't represent the monsters but the beasts in the crew. Jinbei beiing the Fishman, Chopper the Zoan Elk-Racoon-Dog, and Zoro the lone wolf and the beast he is. Thats why Carrot (as another beast) will never join the crew. The similarities of Nami and Robin are not only being a girl. They both have betrayed their former crews to help the Strawhats and joined afterwards. So everything speaking for Yamato, who is in Kaidos Crew and already betrayed Kaido. Also Nami and Robin both have a thing for hystorical sciences (geography and archeology). We don‘t know it yet but I guess Yamato being so focused on Oden with his journal and wanting to be someone from the past, could reveal another fable for hystory. The third row can’t be summed up as the leaders. Jinbei and Brook where also leaders. In one of your vids you say that Zorro is a natural leader. In my oppinion this row represents the utility experts of the crew. Both Franky and Ussopp are creative and inventive. For this row I have no clue who could join but I don‘t think that Smoker will fit into this. Suggestions could be Vegapunk or Ceasar but I wouldn‘t bet on them. The last row is very interesting. Sanji and Brook are Perverts, yes. But Franky was called a pervert from the very beginning, so I wouldn‘t use that word to describe this row. The difference between Franky and the 4th row is that Sanji and Brook are both Gentlemen. And if you want you can sum their skills up as a social/amusement skill. A cook brings everyone to one table and a musician as well. Also both skills are something Luffy loves, a good meal and singing songs with others. Momonosuke would not fit into this row, he just had one perverted scene. Alsohe is a Zoan and has to lead a nation. Kinemon could fit but I see a lack of social/amusement skills here. Also he would be the first member who is married and I could imagine him being the right hand man of Momonosuke. So no for Kinemon as well Who I think will be the last crew member to join is Bon Clay. You said it yourself, it has to be someone who was with the Strawhats for a long time. Luffy even told Bon to meet him again. Bon is a gentlemen and loves ladies, just like Sanji and Brook. He has social skill by amusing the crew. What do you think? Let me know.
I second this. But I think Caesar is actually really joining the crew. As for the fourth row I'd say maybe the characteristic of being a pervert is good as a defining factor, because I'd like our dear Swamp-human Caribou to join the crew (but that's just me being hopeful hahaha). I agree with you, I feel that the theory is right but the characters are wrong. Nami/Robin both are both skilled in espionage/information gathering or reading and recording being a major part of their goals. There are two possibilities I see here; either Bon Clay or Yamato. Bon Clay with the Mane Mane no Mi (which also fits as Nami can create clones via mirages and Robins can also 'clone' herself) or Yamato with wanting to follow in Odin's footsteps and sailing the sea and writing a journal. With Usopp and Frankie both are (as Sameeet said) both inventive and creative, so someone that has a crafting expertise. Bellemy perhaps as he was last seen learning to paint flags (could also make a symbol for the flag of the grand fleet?) It would also fit as it was a previous job that Usopp did that gets taken over by someone else. Or Ceaser with his scientific knowledge, through I'm not sure what he would be creating for them that they/he needs. Again, as Sameet said, both Sanji and Brook bring things that Luffy loves and deems highly important. Perhaps Bon Clay would fit here better as their Devil Fruit would be a way to entertain Luffy. I think Tama and Momo would be more symbolic Straw Hats like Vivi was.
I definitely agree with you on this one! I do think oda wants to diversify this crew! I do think Yamato will join, would be the first girl on the crew with melee combat! So does carrot however I think dogstorm and Neku will probably die so I think she will be one of the leaders of zou! However she does want to see the world so maybe both can join so we can have a mink aswell! And I like the idea of ceasar clown since he has a goal and wants to become the greatest scientist. And I do think bon clay would definitely join. He can definitely become the straw hats spy and do infiltration missions. Most likely against the world government! Since he’s been through hell and back in impel down!

I feel that for the third members, leader doesn't fit. Sure, both of the two (Usopp, Franky) had led group's before joining, but they aren't that great of leaders imo, especially not Usopp. I feel a more fitting similarity is crafty, as Franky, being the shipwright, is obviously crafty, and Usopp builds many creative tools to help him and the crew.

i think kinemon would be a better option than momo. kinemon also fits the pervert role and has been with the crew for a long time while actually offering combat power. momo on the other hand doesn't add much to the crew and i don't see how he could contribute much in a fight against blackbeards crew for example. momo will likely stay in wano as the new ruler, which would be a fitting end to his character arc. kinemon has also gotten a lot of growth in this arc and i feel like it's a great buildup for him to join the crew - if he survives the arc that is.

actually, it makes a lot more sense that momo is a part of the group because of his ability to control zou but also because he never learned to read the ponyglyph language. also he is too young and weak and i feel like he would ask Zoro to become his samurai master and each him to use the sword properly and become the cabin boy of the strawhats. hiyori was probably set up to be the one to retain the position of the leader until momo comes of age and that is why she never got sent to the future, in case something happened and the kozuki name didn't get whipped out. Momo learning to read ponyglyphs from robin make a great deal of sense for his character so that he can properly do the job that his bloodline once possessed.
I really believe the 4 crew members in each sea but would like to add 3 things. 1) the second person's similarity could also be traitor. 2) the 3th person's similarity could also be handyman. 2) The further luffy goes along in the story the less human his crew mates become.
Hate to be "that guy" but as other commentators said, the Hooligan comparison fits better with Usopp and Franky, which means Yamato and not Smoker will be the third member. Moreover, his theory has a problematic self-contradiction. Smoker was introduced in Loguetown, in the East Blue, and that should completely discredit his candidacy. I think he'll be taking Luffy's side for Endgame after the World Government executes Vivi and causes all-out world war once Luffy becames the sole Yonko after taking down the others.

I think the rationalization for any argument is incredibly flimsy right now. One might use confirmation bias to manifest any number of wild, speculative formats to shove the characters you want into the slots you want. The real argument is that no character currently has the same narrative arc as the other members. The least emotionally involved arguably was Frankie, and even he had far more attention paid to him as a potential crew member than any candidate now. This isn't to say no new crewmembers will join - only that if they do, Wano has given them no arc, and no setup for a payoff.

I think this is a much better connection than a leader, since the Usopp Pirates never actually sailed anywhere and the Franky Family just kinda dicked around in Water Seven for however many years. They both refused to be anything other than what they wanted to be and caused trouble for the authority figures in their lives, and in the same way, Yamato is rebelling against Kaido and calling himself Oden. I honestly can't imagine Yamato staying in Wano, especially with how late into the arc he was introduced, he's definitely joining the crew
Smoker may be my favorite character, but i would rather he doesnt join. I like how moral and proud he is. Also I cant see momo joining, as his dream is to be shogun.
I think Yamato will be the next Straw Hat. At the end of Wano she will no longer try to be Oden but will still look up to him as a role model. She has been stuck on Onigashima for the last 20 years so the only thing she really knows is combat and hasn’t been given the chance to discover what she truly wants to be. I think her dream will be to discover herself and find her place in the world as Oden had done though his journey with Whitebeard and Roger. Her position would be as an Apprentice, the same position her father Kaido held under Rocks.
I desagree, Yamato and Momonosuke both inherit the will of Oden. Yamato inherited the will of going out to sea, while Momo inhereted the will of becoming the next shogun. I believe that at the end of Wano, their roles will be reversed. Momonosuke will go out to sea, with the goal of becoming strong enough, both as a warrior as a leader, to be able to go back to Wano and become the Shogun. Meanwhile, Yamato will become the shogun, opening the Wano country and enabling Momo to go out to sea.

I've noticed lately he continually pushes his theories to the forefront even if some of them are a bit too much. Like I do agree the fire festival will end in failure but does that need to be mentioned in every chpater review? Or him constantly saying Luffy will fight Jack, which I do believe as well, but why does it need to be brought up every video. The Smoker thing is the most egregious example, like seriously..Smoker can have a place in the story without him being set up as a Strawhat. Yes I too think the same. Someone like Denjiro (he is next to Kin, as kin might die in this arc) should join the crew so that momo will have a trainer on board for becoming future shogun and straw hats will have a good fighter with them.
With the girls, that being robin and nami, the parallel could also be that they are both part or the enemy crew in their own arcs, with that parallel you can put yamato in that position too.

Black Blades Zoro Yamato would face more backlash being yonko’s child that ruined there country for 20 + years. Not just by her father’s crew but wano citizen. The One piece world very discriminatory base on lineages like criminal acts, people who oppose the government, and your child of criminal. Just because aiding the ally forces doesn’t mean the world will automatically trust her as person. Sure Momo some of samurai could try voucher for her. But the citizen of wano and others outside wano are not so sure about this if they can trust her base 20 years rule and oppression by her father. Even though she had nothing do with the world doesn’t see that. Knowing this aspect she fits a lot with straw hats. Especially knowing that cp0 is there she she is likely going get bounty on her head. Which would cause her to leave as she originally attend.
Smoker would be really cool as a logia member and even though he’s unlikely to become a pirate it could be a situation similar to Kuzan’s where he ventures off following his own sense of justice. Also, he knows that the straw hats improve the lives of everyone they meet better than anyone by now. Perhaps his goal is to get rid of the world governments corruption and joining the straw hats is the best way to achieve that goal.
I think he certainly has similar ideas to kuzan or fugitora, but unlike kuzan I see him staying with the marines until maybe turning against them and temporarily teaming up with the strawhats in the endgame when whatever dark secret about the world government is reavealed.
*I would actually switch out Smoker for Kinemon at the minimum.* Here's why: 1) Luffy asked Kinemon's legs to join the crew, Kinemon was the first character we met in the new world to team up with the crew. He said the infamouse line "Luffy is the man who will become the pirate king." So the Argument for both Smoker and Momonosuke work perfectly for Kinemon (theyve teamed up and he has been with them since punk hazard). 2) Smoker has a strong sense of justice, i can see him becoming an admiral (also first logia we met before admirals) and if he dislikes how the marines do things, I can see him taking the Garp route and wanting change from the inside. Edit: Forgot to mention this but Kinemon is also the Leader of the scabbards so that fits perfectly as well. I cannot see smoker joining at all and al his cards can be played by kinemon
Mono is 100% not joining bc that would ruin the entire wano arc. He promised luffy he would become strong on his own and not rely on others so him joining luffys crew kinda undermines that. Him becoming shogun of wano after kaidos defeat would fit perfectly with his character development and imo I don’t see anyone else governing wano. I think kinemon is perfect bc it would go hand in hand with odens goal which is what kinemon wants
If we change the "girl" thing and put "betrayed former group" then Yamato would fit. I really want him to join too. I see potential for his character development in Wano which would make him more likely to join.

I guess it's possible but I think he's significantly more likely to be the Lead Vassal for whoever the next Shogun of Wano will be (either Komurasaki or Momo or Yamato as a wild card).

I personally think the final 3 is gonna be Carrot, Yamato, and Vivi. I don’t think Luffy’s gonna allow the 8 year old Momo to join his crew for the same reason Shanks didn’t let Luffy join his crew. The Smoker theory is interesting but I have a hard time believing that he would ever willingly become a subordinate of Luffy. I think it’s more likely Smoker could be a part of SWORD and trying to change the Marines from the inside. Also what will happen to Tashigi if Smoker leaves? I think it’s far more likely that Yamato and Vivi join instead because 1 straight up asked to board Luffy’s ship and the other made a promise at the end of Alabasta to meet again and is still considered nakama by the crew themselves.

On top of that, he's already been sailing with them for awhile now, and are we forgetting how young Shanks and Buggy were on Rogers' ship (they were 13 yes, but I doubt they were doing a whole lot of fighting as almost any new world pirate should be able to beat a 13 year old). Momo needs, more than anything, to see the world and understand his place in it. Once Wano's role in the formation of the world is revealed (whatever that role may be), I suspect Momo will allow Hiyori to take the role of Temporary Shogun as he travels with Luffy to Laughtale in order to see for himself to sins of his ancestors
I‘m sure that Yamato - heavy implication of the will to go explore the world and pursue of freedom, it doesn’t make sense for her to just stay in Wano after all of that or to sail out alone or with another crew- and Carrot - there was so much set up, she also wants to explore the world, she wants to make Pedro proud and inherited his Webeleinen that laggy will bring the dawn- will join; I don‘t think Smoker or Momo or Tama will join. For smoker: there wasn‘t enough setup, there‘s no reason for him to leave tashigi and the navy, he doesn‘t have enough relationships with the other strawhats, the only real interaction we see is with luffy, it would seem awkward for him to join and why would he be at wano? Also I think he‘s too weak, because the when the weak trio was introduced it was clear that they were at that point in the story weaker that luffy, zoro and Sanji but in comparison to the world we knew at that point they weren‘t that weak (and I don‘t think they are That weak in general) and I know that Carrot is weaker but with Smoker it was made way more obvious. We also don‘t have something to be emotionally attached to him and he doesn‘t get along with the crew good enough Momo: Way to weak and I just don‘t think the strawhats would get apprentices. Also Luffy isn‘t the type to take a kid with him and if he wanted Momo to be on his crew I think he would have asked him already. Momo has to stay in Wano and there was Setup for him to be the new ruler with heavy help of the scabbards, I also don‘t think he really has a desire to go out to sea and he wouldn’t want to leave behind Korumasaki. He wouldn’t be of use and I think Luffy would find him annoying as a crewmember. He would add nothing to the story or fights and the only thing would be that they now have to take care of him Tama: again she‘s a kid even though she‘s stronger than Momonosuke but in the end she would only be effective against beasts or smile users (which I don‘t think we will continue to see after Wano). She also accepted when Ace told her he would take her with him when she‘s stronger (a bewitching kunoichi) and for Luffy to just go against that I don‘t think it makes sense, but maybe we could see a parallel where Luffy makes the same promise to get her when she‘s strong and grownup and in contrast to Ace actually come (like in the Epilog or something) That said I do think the idea of 12 members and all of them joining at the end of Wano sounds extremely logical and also the thing with the 3 seas, but I don‘t have an idea for the 3rd member that would join at the end of this arc

Carlos the only way I see Smoker joining the crew (I really don't think it will) is if Tashigi gets killed by marines or they try to lie about it being pirates that killed her or if Smoker finds out the REAL truth about the world government and leaves her behind

Ive figured the next 3 strawhats will be Carrot, Caesar (Gangster Gastino), and lastly Tashigi. Carrot for obvious reasons. Caesar because I feel as if Oda has plans for him especially with how he left after the whole cake island arc (not the first time oda put a former villain on the crew). Tashigi will most likely join during the final war (Ive been thinking that oda would kill off smoker in a way that would put Tashigi in a position to seperate from the Navy/WorldGovernment). Lastly for Jimbei it would be great if he would stay a part of the crew until the end (but I have a feeling that he is going to die, that and there is no fish zodiac)
If you are wondering why I am connecting this to zodiac every strawhat correspond to a zodiac Luffy-Monkey(duh) Zoro-Dragon, Sanji-Tiger, Nami-Pig, Usopp-Rooster, Chopper-Dog, Robin-Rat, Franky-Ox, Brook-Snake(ironic), Carrot-Hare/Rabbit, Caesar-Goat, Tashigi-Horse.

I’m pretty certain that the only other two Strawhat members will be on the Strawhat Crew after Wano is finished is going to be either Mr.2 and Boa Hancock or Boa Hancock and Mihawk after Wano Arc is finished, but Carrot will definitely be one of the three Strawhat Pirates, and we don’t know for certainty if Zoro is going to win a fight against Mihawk after Wano and steal his Sword and Dagger after Wano is finished or not, but you’re right that Momo, Kinneamaro, and Konsuke will all stay in Wano after Luffy and the Strawhats defeat Kaido.

Momo could acknowledge that Luffy is going to bring the dawn, he could understand that Momo is not yet strong enough to protect Wano. Yes, she wants to be Oden. She wants to do what he couldn't - protect his daughter and protect Wano. Yamato is strong and she might come to the realization that she has a duty in Wano, a complete reversal to Oden. Oden followed his dream and didn't protect Wano when he needed to do that. Yamato could say "okay I want to travel the seas but I'm not gonna make the same mistake as Oden".

If Smoker leaves the marines, I consider the most probable scenario one where Tashigi has achieved (in that arc, probably) independence and has become a great marine leader. Smoker leaves the marines and Tashigi decides on her own to stay with G5, ready to lead and no more a subordinate who need the guidance of Smoker. Smoker would leave the marines proud of her, after that final show of self-determination which has been to decide to stay and not follow him for his own ideals. I can imagine easily those scenes; it looks good for me.

When Luffy as King of the Pirates assaults Marie-Jois he will have the might of Elbaf behind him.
Another point against Smoker, which is also a point against Momo: these two don't parallel their supposed counterparts nearly as well as Jinbei and Carrot. Even Carrot doesn't quite make it. As for Jimbei, the strength of his parallel with Zoro and Chopper really depends on what his dream is.
Robin and Nami aren't just both girls, they're both extremely intelligent and knowledgeable girls who joined the crew with divided or questionable loyalties, were won over slowly by their interactions with the rest of the crew, left after apparently betraying and/or rejecting the crew, and then were re-recruited after Luffy rescued them from the person or group that had tormented them for years and killed their mothers, and which person/group either had in the past or was presently threatening to use the girls' knowledge and talents to further their authoritarian aims while keeping the girls locked away. Both also have goals that revolve around learning and acquiring knowledge over the course of their journey. Vivi might actually be a closer parallel than Carrot, depending somewhat on what actually happened at the end of the Reverie, although Carrot could at least manage a parallel of delayed official recruitment, and her desire to see the world could be worked into a knowledge-oriented goal. Meanwhile Vivi would be a perfect dark horse recruit if she's been, say, captured by Crocodile working as a mercenary for the WG following the assassination of her father and occupation of her homeland by the WG, paralleling the involvement of the Marines and/or WG in Robin and Nami's stories as well.
Usopp and Franky don't just lead other gangs before joining the Straw Hats, they're both tinkers and inventors whose goals revolve around equaling or exceeding the feats of someone from their backstory who was part of or deeply connected to major crews from an older generation of pirates and whose reputation they have defended for years despite their association with piracy. Yamato is a vastly better parallel than Smoker, given her association with Oden. Momo could also work here, I guess; neither he nor Yamato have an obvious tinker/inventor orientation, but if one of them winds up inheriting or redeveloping the Kozuki stonemasonry techniques they could fit.
Sanji and Brook aren't just perverts, they're also fast moving and deeply perceptive independent actors whose role on the ship revolves around providing a service to the rest of the crew, with deeply layered backstories involving multiple tragedies and phases in their lives, including a first phase where they left or were exiled from a kingdom to which they had been loyal, and both spent a long time as the second-in-command to another figure from their backstory before ultimately joining Luffy. Carrot honestly fits better here than she does with Nami and Robin; as a scout she wouldn't exactly "provide a service" the way the ship's cook and musician do, but she would certainly fit the adventure role that Sanji and Brook have taken as independent operatives often acting ahead of the main group of the Straw Hats, figuring out the enemy's plans and weaknesses and often having an early confrontation with major foes who take center stage late in the arc ("young lady"), and her relationship with Wanda could serve as a parallel to Sanji's past under Zeff and Brook's under Yorki. I could also see the loss of Pedro and then the Dukes as the sort of "double tragedy" that Sanji and Brook have (or seem to have, in Brook's case) experienced.
As far as Zoro and Chopper, I'll just point out that they are also unique among the crew in that both have goals that revolve around self-improvement and reaching the absolute pinnacle of their respective skill sets. Zoro wants to be the greatest swordsman, and that means that he has to continually become a better swordsman over the course of his journey. Chopper wants to be a doctor who can cure anything, and that means that he has to continually become a better doctor over the course of his journey. Jimbei is the best practitioner of Fishman Karate, as far as we know, but this doesn't seem to have much to do with his dream. I'll also note that while Usopp wants to be a brave warrior of the sea and this involves him growing and becoming braver over the course of his journey, he never states a desire to be the best warrior of the sea, or to reach some sort of pinnacle of bravery. He wants to live up to a standard he's set for himself, but it's not a continuous series of mounting challenges that he needs to overcome the way it is with Chopper and Zoro.

Agreed. Swap Smoker with Bon Clay, he's an Okama leader too, so it matches. I think Smoker will join with them to fight a "greater evil" or even the "absolute justice Marines" along with the other "good marines" like Fujitora and Coby though, and they'll end up being the new set of Admirals at the end of the series and change it's corruption from the inside-out.

His ultimate goal from the beginning was to capture Luffy, and I don't think it'll change. I DO believe he'll team up with Luffy again though, but only similarly to how Garp teamed up with Gold Roger. I think that's the angle Oda is going for with both of them, like a repeat of the past. The last straw hat with a devilfruit is going to have the paw paw fruit since it completely numbers 2 and 9. I see Yamato as more of a fit for the 'Leader' role than Smoker, let me explain.
After watching your Smoker joining the crew analysis, I definitely subscribe to the idea of Smoker changing sides, but I don't see it going as far as joining the crew. One point you've made clear in the past is that Luffy isn't supposed to have a 'Garp', and that we shouldn't force parallels by comparing characters like Smoker and Koby be called the 'Garp' to Luffy. And from what I've seen of the story, it seems to me like Smoker will end up being a part of the Grand Fleet or some larger alliance by the final war. My reasoning for believing this is first of all his own personal character arc which you already covered in the Smoker analysis, but also Tashigi and G5. Admittedly for Tashigi I have a weaker argument, but I think that G5 supports a stronger one. Firstly with Tashigi, it throws a bit of a wrench into Smoker joining the crew just for the fact that she is his right hand. Also of her dream of wanting to take all the swords back from the pirates, I don't see her willingly going along with Luffy since he has crewmembers that are swordsmen like Zoro and Brook. G5 has been shown to be a very rowdy bunch, and they were trained up to be marines. To me G5 seems like Smoker's own 'crew' of sorts, a unit for him to command, and people that we've seen are very loyal to him and Tashigi above all else, given the events of Punk Hazard. They also got to see the Straw Hats in action firsthand, and I think in a final war scenario they would follow Smoker no doubt and switch sides, after they have that connection with him and the Straw Hats. Now while I agree that Smoker fits that role of leader, I don't see him following Luffy as a crew member due to his own ambitions along with Tashigi's and G5's ambitions. I see Yamato as more of a fit for that leader role. We've seen her bicker with Luffy about being the one to take down Kaido, we've seen her want to be a follower of someone and go out to sea despite her rambunctious personality, and we've seen her step up to the plate and take initiative, such as essentially kidnapping Luffy after smacking down Ulti, and going to help out Momonosuke and Shinobu after Luffy's order. She seems like the right balance of leader and follower, and someone that would have steadfast loyalty, not to mention the connection with Ace, which seems like it will have a bigger role over the course of Wano. I think that at some point, Tama and Yamato will get acquainted through their knowledge of Ace, and with Tama still being young, Yamato will essentially carry on her will and go out to sea in her stead. If you took the time to read this, thanks a bunch! I hope my little theory makes sense :)
I still don’t see how Yamato could be a greater fit for the ‘’Leader’’ role than Smoker, we haven’t seen her show her leadership over other ppl unlike Usopp Franky and Smoker. Speaking of him, Smoker is a follower too, he is loyal to the marines (for now) and loyal to his own ideals as well.

@@Sara_fxl Seeing as how the comparison in the video was referring to Usopp and Franky, I came to a somewhat different conclusion on what the 'leader' role was. While, yes, Usopp had the Usopp pirates and Franky ran the Franky family, Usopp's crew was a facade, it was just a bunch of kids playing pirates. It wasn't any serious crew, and Usopp was something more along the lines of a role model to the kids than an actual leader. As for Franky, his situation is a little unique, but I also believe it was some sort of facade. While yes, Franky did take in the thugs of Water 7 and gave them jobs, he adopted the name Franky from Iceberg to begin with. The whole reason he became Franky was to protect the blueprints for Pluton, so that the World Government wouldn't get their hands on them. Tying this all into Yamato, she also is being propped up by Kaido as a false leader, since he proclaimed that she would be the shogun of Wano, despite her wishes. Also, Yamato is taking on the likeness of Oden and inheriting his will, once again, a false display of leadership. as Ikenna Ojukwu mentioned in their comment just above mine, Yamato also falls into a rambunctious personality type with the likes of Usopp and Franky. Hopefully that helped to clarify my argument :)

I know that Kaido wants to make her shogun of Wano, but it did not happen yet. And she’s trying to imitate or be Oden, in which she’s not very successful 😂, we still haven’t seen her lead a group of people like Oden did.
You're missing something important. Every strawhat had a defined dream that they really want to achieve. I think Yamato is the best fit bc she has the ambition to be like Oden so her dream is to be with the pirate king. Also fits as another female. Every strawhat also has a role on the ship, such as navigator cook etc. What would Momo do?

I like the concept of this theory and think that it definitely will be 12 members at the end of one piece. What I disagree are the characters you chose to join and the similaritys between the members of each row.
Like the first row doesn't represent the monsters but the beasts in the crew. Jinbei beiing the Fishman, Chopper the Zoan Elk-Racoon-Dog, and Zoro the lone wolf and the beast he is. Thats why Carrot (as another beast) will never join the crew.
The similarities of Nami and Robin are not only being a girl. They both have betrayed their former crews to help the Strawhats and joined afterwards. So everything speaking for Yamato, who is in Kaidos Crew and already betrayed Kaido. Also Nami and Robin both have a thing for hystorical sciences (geography and archeology). We don‘t know it yet but I guess Yamato being so focused on Oden with his journal and wanting to be someone from the past, could reveal another fable for hystory.
The third row can’t be summed up as the leaders. Jinbei and Brook where also leaders. In one of your vids you say that Zorro is a natural leader. In my oppinion this row represents the utility experts of the crew. Both Franky and Ussopp are creative and inventive. For this row I have no clue who could join but I don‘t think that Smoker will fit into this. Suggestions could be Vegapunk or Ceasar but I wouldn‘t bet on them.
The last row is very interesting. Sanji and Brook are Perverts, yes. But Franky was called a pervert from the very beginning, so I wouldn‘t use that word to describe this row. The difference between Franky and the 4th row is that Sanji and Brook are both Gentlemen. And if you want you can sum their skills up as a social/amusement skill. A cook brings everyone to one table and a musician as well. Also both skills are something Luffy loves, a good meal and singing songs with others. Momonosuke would not fit into this row, he just had one perverted scene. Alsohe is a Zoan and has to lead a nation. Kinemon could fit but I see a lack of social/amusement skills here. Also he would be the first member who is married and I could imagine him being the right hand man of Momonosuke. So no for Kinemon as well
Who I think will be the last crew member to join is Bon Clay. You said it yourself, it has to be someone who was with the Strawhats for a long time. Luffy even told Bon to meet him again. Bon is a gentlemen and loves ladies, just like Sanji and Brook. He has social skill by amusing the crew.

As for the fourth row I'd say maybe the characteristic of being a pervert is good as a defining factor, because I'd like our dear Swamp-human Caribou to join the crew (but that's just me being hopeful hahaha). I agree with you, I feel that the theory is right but the characters are wrong.
Nami/Robin both are both skilled in espionage/information gathering or reading and recording being a major part of their goals. There are two possibilities I see here; either Bon Clay or Yamato. Bon Clay with the Mane Mane no Mi (which also fits as Nami can create clones via mirages and Robins can also 'clone' herself) or Yamato with wanting to follow in Odin's footsteps and sailing the sea and writing a journal.
With Usopp and Frankie both are (as Sameeet said) both inventive and creative, so someone that has a crafting expertise. Bellemy perhaps as he was last seen learning to paint flags (could also make a symbol for the flag of the grand fleet?) It would also fit as it was a previous job that Usopp did that gets taken over by someone else. Or Ceaser with his scientific knowledge, through I'm not sure what he would be creating for them that they/he needs.
Again, as Sameet said, both Sanji and Brook bring things that Luffy loves and deems highly important. Perhaps Bon Clay would fit here better as their Devil Fruit would be a way to entertain Luffy.
I think Tama and Momo would be more symbolic Straw Hats like Vivi was.
I definitely agree with you on this one! I do think oda wants to diversify this crew! I do think Yamato will join, would be the first girl on the crew with melee combat! So does carrot however I think dogstorm and Neku will probably die so I think she will be one of the leaders of zou! However she does want to see the world so maybe both can join so we can have a mink aswell! And I like the idea of ceasar clown since he has a goal and wants to become the greatest scientist. And I do think bon clay would definitely join. He can definitely become the straw hats spy and do infiltration missions. Most likely against the world government! Since he’s been through hell and back in impel down!

I feel that for the third members, leader doesn't fit. Sure, both of the two (Usopp, Franky) had led group's before joining, but they aren't that great of leaders imo, especially not Usopp. I feel a more fitting similarity is crafty, as Franky, being the shipwright, is obviously crafty, and Usopp builds many creative tools to help him and the crew.

i think kinemon would be a better option than momo. kinemon also fits the pervert role and has been with the crew for a long time while actually offering combat power. momo on the other hand doesn't add much to the crew and i don't see how he could contribute much in a fight against blackbeards crew for example. momo will likely stay in wano as the new ruler, which would be a fitting end to his character arc. kinemon has also gotten a lot of growth in this arc and i feel like it's a great buildup for him to join the crew - if he survives the arc that is.

Momo is not Oden. Oden was ready to rule, and chose to leave because of his own desires. Momo is not ready to rule. Leaving Wano to travel with someone he specifically sees as the person he wants to become, and his inspiration, would make sense. He could decide the best way to become stronger is joining Luffy or staying in Wano. Could work either way.

actually, it makes a lot more sense that momo is a part of the group because of his ability to control zou but also because he never learned to read the ponyglyph language. also he is too young and weak and i feel like he would ask Zoro to become his samurai master and each him to use the sword properly and become the cabin boy of the strawhats. hiyori was probably set up to be the one to retain the position of the leader until momo comes of age and that is why she never got sent to the future, in case something happened and the kozuki name didn't get whipped out.
Momo learning to read ponyglyphs from robin make a great deal of sense for his character so that he can properly do the job that his bloodline once possessed.

1) the second person's similarity could also be traitor.

Hate to be "that guy" but as other commentators said, the Hooligan comparison fits better with Usopp and Franky, which means Yamato and not Smoker will be the third member. Moreover, his theory has a problematic self-contradiction. Smoker was introduced in Loguetown, in the East Blue, and that should completely discredit his candidacy. I think he'll be taking Luffy's side for Endgame after the World Government executes Vivi and causes all-out world war once Luffy becames the sole Yonko after taking down the others.

I think the rationalization for any argument is incredibly flimsy right now. One might use confirmation bias to manifest any number of wild, speculative formats to shove the characters you want into the slots you want. The real argument is that no character currently has the same narrative arc as the other members. The least emotionally involved arguably was Frankie, and even he had far more attention paid to him as a potential crew member than any candidate now. This isn't to say no new crewmembers will join - only that if they do, Wano has given them no arc, and no setup for a payoff.

I think this is a much better connection than a leader, since the Usopp Pirates never actually sailed anywhere and the Franky Family just kinda dicked around in Water Seven for however many years. They both refused to be anything other than what they wanted to be and caused trouble for the authority figures in their lives, and in the same way, Yamato is rebelling against Kaido and calling himself Oden. I honestly can't imagine Yamato staying in Wano, especially with how late into the arc he was introduced, he's definitely joining the crew

I desagree, Yamato and Momonosuke both inherit the will of Oden. Yamato inherited the will of going out to sea, while Momo inhereted the will of becoming the next shogun. I believe that at the end of Wano, their roles will be reversed. Momonosuke will go out to sea, with the goal of becoming strong enough, both as a warrior as a leader, to be able to go back to Wano and become the Shogun. Meanwhile, Yamato will become the shogun, opening the Wano country and enabling Momo to go out to sea.

Yes, he really is reaching with Smoker. This is probably one of the few times I disagree with Morj regardless of his reasoning. I've noticed lately he continually pushes his theories to the forefront even if some of them are a bit too much. Like I do agree the fire festival will end in failure but does that need to be mentioned in every chpater review? Or him constantly saying Luffy will fight Jack, which I do believe as well, but why does it need to be brought up every video. The Smoker thing is the most egregious example, like seriously..Smoker can have a place in the story without him being set up as a Strawhat. With the girls, that being robin and nami, the parallel could also be that they are both part or the enemy crew in their own arcs, with that parallel you can put yamato in that position too.

Black Blades Zoro Yamato would face more backlash being yonko’s child that ruined there country for 20 + years. Not just by her father’s crew but wano citizen. The One piece world very discriminatory base on lineages like criminal acts, people who oppose the government, and your child of criminal. Just because aiding the ally forces doesn’t mean the world will automatically trust her as person. Sure Momo some of samurai could try voucher for her. But the citizen of wano and others outside wano are not so sure about this if they can trust her base 20 years rule and oppression by her father. Even though she had nothing do with the world doesn’t see that. Knowing this aspect she fits a lot with straw hats. Especially knowing that cp0 is there she she is likely going get bounty on her head. Which would cause her to leave as she originally attend.

Smoker would be really cool as a logia member and even though he’s unlikely to become a pirate it could be a situation similar to Kuzan’s where he ventures off following his own sense of justice.
Also, he knows that the straw hats improve the lives of everyone they meet better than anyone by now. Perhaps his goal is to get rid of the world governments corruption and joining the straw hats is the best way to achieve that goal.
I think he certainly has similar ideas to kuzan or fugitora, but unlike kuzan I see him staying with the marines until maybe turning against them and temporarily teaming up with the strawhats in the endgame when whatever dark secret about the world government is reavealed.
Yamato and carrot will definetly become their crew mates but smoker can't be..

*I would actually switch out Smoker for Kinemon at the minimum.* Here's why: 1) Luffy asked Kinemon's legs to join the crew, Kinemon was the first character we met in the new world to team up with the crew. He said the infamouse line "Luffy is the man who will become the pirate king." So the Argument for both Smoker and Momonosuke work perfectly for Kinemon (theyve teamed up and he has been with them since punk hazard). 2) Smoker has a strong sense of justice, i can see him becoming an admiral (also first logia we met before admirals) and if he dislikes how the marines do things, I can see him taking the Garp route and wanting change from the inside.
Edit: Forgot to mention this but Kinemon is also the Leader of the scabbards so that fits perfectly as well. I cannot see smoker joining at all and al his cards can be played by kinemon

Mono is 100% not joining bc that would ruin the entire wano arc. He promised luffy he would become strong on his own and not rely on others so him joining luffys crew kinda undermines that. Him becoming shogun of wano after kaidos defeat would fit perfectly with his character development and imo I don’t see anyone else governing wano. I think kinemon is perfect bc it would go hand in hand with odens goal which is what kinemon wants

If we change the "girl" thing and put "betrayed former group" then Yamato would fit. I really want him to join too. I see potential for his character development in Wano which would make him more likely to join.

Yamato refers to himself as a man, as well as all of Kaido's crew. If it is true that physically she is a woman, but it would be a case similar to Kiku, who is a man but considers herself a woman

I don’t think Luffy’s gonna allow the 8 year old Momo to join his crew for the same reason Shanks didn’t let Luffy join his crew.
The Smoker theory is interesting but I have a hard time believing that he would ever willingly become a subordinate of Luffy. I think it’s more likely Smoker could be a part of SWORD and trying to change the Marines from the inside. Also what will happen to Tashigi if Smoker leaves?
I think it’s far more likely that Yamato and Vivi join instead because 1 straight up asked to board Luffy’s ship and the other made a promise at the end of Alabasta to meet again and is still considered nakama by the crew themselves.

@@drpepperman2765 Luffy doesn’t have the time or the resources to be babysitting kids. The fights are only going to get harder after Wano and they can only afford to bring on actual skilled fighters. Luffy is going to do what his role model Shanks did and not let a kid join because of the dangers.
@@eyuin5716 Yeah, but kid Luffy had no good reason to sail at that point other than adventure, Momo still has a role he's not prepared for in a country that's central to how the world came to be what it is today. On top of that, he's already been sailing with them for awhile now, and are we forgetting how young Shanks and Buggy were on Rogers' ship (they were 13 yes, but I doubt they were doing a whole lot of fighting as almost any new world pirate should be able to beat a 13 year old). Momo needs, more than anything, to see the world and understand his place in it. Once Wano's role in the formation of the world is revealed (whatever that role may be), I suspect Momo will allow Hiyori to take the role of Temporary Shogun as he travels with Luffy to Laughtale in order to see for himself to sins of his ancestors
I‘m sure that Yamato - heavy implication of the will to go explore the world and pursue of freedom, it doesn’t make sense for her to just stay in Wano after all of that or to sail out alone or with another crew- and Carrot - there was so much set up, she also wants to explore the world, she wants to make Pedro proud and inherited his Webeleinen that laggy will bring the dawn- will join; I don‘t think Smoker or Momo or Tama will join.
For smoker: there wasn‘t enough setup, there‘s no reason for him to leave tashigi and the navy, he doesn‘t have enough relationships with the other strawhats, the only real interaction we see is with luffy, it would seem awkward for him to join and why would he be at wano? Also I think he‘s too weak, because the when the weak trio was introduced it was clear that they were at that point in the story weaker that luffy, zoro and Sanji but in comparison to the world we knew at that point they weren‘t that weak (and I don‘t think they are That weak in general) and I know that Carrot is weaker but with Smoker it was made way more obvious. We also don‘t have something to be emotionally attached to him and he doesn‘t get along with the crew good enough
Momo: Way to weak and I just don‘t think the strawhats would get apprentices. Also Luffy isn‘t the type to take a kid with him and if he wanted Momo to be on his crew I think he would have asked him already. Momo has to stay in Wano and there was Setup for him to be the new ruler with heavy help of the scabbards, I also don‘t think he really has a desire to go out to sea and he wouldn’t want to leave behind Korumasaki. He wouldn’t be of use and I think Luffy would find him annoying as a crewmember. He would add nothing to the story or fights and the only thing would be that they now have to take care of him
Tama: again she‘s a kid even though she‘s stronger than Momonosuke but in the end she would only be effective against beasts or smile users (which I don‘t think we will continue to see after Wano). She also accepted when Ace told her he would take her with him when she‘s stronger (a bewitching kunoichi) and for Luffy to just go against that I don‘t think it makes sense, but maybe we could see a parallel where Luffy makes the same promise to get her when she‘s strong and grownup and in contrast to Ace actually come (like in the Epilog or something)
That said I do think the idea of 12 members and all of them joining at the end of Wano sounds extremely logical and also the thing with the 3 seas, but I don‘t have an idea for the 3rd member that would join at the end of this arc
