- Hello guys and gals, it's me Mutahar again! This time we take a look at how another piece of lost history is found as the Backrooms, an infamous location which was the target of a multi-year long search since it was initially posted on imageboard has reached it's conclusion after Internet sleuths dug through decades of leads to find where this image was first taken. Thanks for watching!

Kane Pixels went from a kid making his own video and later series, based on the backrooms, to now working with A24 on a movie. All because someone at their job took a photo of a room before renovations somewhere in Wisconsin. The butterfly effect truly is one of life's craziest phenomenon's.

If liminal spaces are described as locations between transitional periods, I think it really fits that the original backroom was literally taken mid transition as it became a RC racetrack
its a small detail that ties this entire situation together
Thats perfect!!
Literally so poetic its nuts
also the fact that the renovation was done in 2002/2003, nothing can be more transitional than the begining of a new millenium
it was taken mid transition becoming hobbytown, the race track was years later

600,000,000 square miles is crazy. To put in perspective, the Pacific Ocean is just a bit less than 64,000,000 square miles, so that's nearly 10 Pacific Oceans worth of endless rooms. No one is finding you there.
No biggie 👍🏿
More than your new home it's your new planet
That's what I liked about the OG backrooms. A lot of the horror in it was more psychological. The vastness, emptiness, loneliness and monotony of being stuck in the backrooms would drive anyone insane. Especially if it was just that one image for eternity instead of multiple "levels."
The monsters and entities just take away all of that.

Backrooms irl before gta6 is crazy
To find out that your small business of pocket car racing is the location of the original back rooms seems like a major business opportunity.
For real. The Fox valley is a liminal Mecca. They should turn the dying northland mall into some kinna liminal escape room

I'm not surprised this would be in Wisconsin, Wisconsin itself is already a mystery no wonder the one of the Internets mysteries would be there too
Kinda figured it was a furniture store based on the layout. Different wall paper on every wall, walls that don’t reach the ceiling, a lifted room (probably used as the master bedroom show room) furniture stores back then would have different furniture layouts in each “room” with different wall paper so you could envision what the furniture would look like in their own homes. Backrooms lore always made it seem like the wallpaper was musty yellow but that was just ONE wall in the furniture show room lol

@@kibble-net How do you feel about Oshkosh suddenly becoming a tourist trap?
@@pokemon05100 LOL Oshkosh has always been a tourist trap. I'm originally from Oshkosh, but moved to the Point area. We have a ton of really huge events that people across the nation go to such as EAA, Country USA, Rock USA, etc. When those events happen, you can barely move around on the west side. We also had Sawdust Days which a lot of people from the valley show up to, but it was since discontinued due to the various violence and stabbing going on during those events. So no, Oshkosh has always been a tourist trap from the beginning. Downtown was also closed down for Johnny Depp's "Public Enemies" movie way back. I believe George Bush also went to Leon's on the north side at one point and said that was the best ice cream shop he's been to in his entire life. The Umbrella Academy show also mentions Oshkosh, WI in one of their eps as well, but I don't know if it was actually ever filmed there.
There's a ton of things about Oshkosh that people just don't know about like the OshKosh B'gosh children's clothing is from Oshkosh, WI. Same with Oshkosh Trucks. They're a major truck supplier for the US army.
Backroom lore must now adapt to canonically contain a Rc Car track. BEST RC CAR TRACK EVAR.

Given that liminal spaces tend to embody a transition from/decay of the past (especially symbols of childhood) there's something profoundly fitting that this isn't just any random transitional state caused by the indifference of entropy and time. It's an intentional transition toward creating a space intrinsically linked with adults kindling childlike joy in both children and themselves. The original backrooms are the REMEDY to many other liminal spaces.
